    Fresh sliced parma ham is heaven!, but. I like my parma ham salty also.. Sometimes I slice it, and leave in the refrigerator overnight just to dry it out and make it more salty! Exactly the opposite of what this guy is saying.. It's all down to taste and preferences! (cook it like bacon in your frying pan!)

    • @phuturephunk
      @phuturephunk 7 лет назад

      Agree. Sometimes just a single slice when it's dried a bit is heaven. I get salt cravings every so often and it hits the spot.

      Naxertis I find it funny how spanish fellows don't loose time to declare how better their ham is compared to the (several) italian ones. My wife is spanish and in Spain I always eat iberico and never need to argue about their quality. Who's strong never needs to mob about someone else's gastronomic specialities. We are strong...and not jelous.

    • @MattafixTm
      @MattafixTm 8 лет назад +7

      Try to eat a thick slice, then a thin one. You'll see the huge difference. The same way grated, thickly cut and thinly cut parmesan tastes totally different from one another.

    • @tenspeed234
      @tenspeed234 8 лет назад

      your palette can better taste food when it is thinly sliced because we not only taste with our mouth but our nose too. having more air gives you a better flavor. Same reason why you can't taste food really when you have a stuffy nose
      proscuitto is also very strong and salty thats also why

    • @ericv5358

      In Croatia we dry it in low light smoke rooms where we burn woods so it takes all that flavor from smoke as well as our wind "bura" so it's dried, but before that it's covered in generous amount of salt. And it's called Pršut or in Italian prosciutto.

    So you prepare the meat for 1 year to 18 months, throw a large portion of it, eat raw, and then dump it in the toilet.... Such a waste of time..

    En comparación con el Jamón Ibérico, esto es carne cruda, con todos mis respetos... ( Perdón por no hacer el comentario en Inglés )

      anche io non ti scrivo in inglese... se tu scrivi una cosa del genere significa che non hai capito nulla , ,il parma e il jamon sono 2 cose diverse anche se fatti con parti di maiale , il parma secondo la tua idea e, crudo , sbagliato e disidratato con il sale cosi come il jamon iberico e poi stagionati i, il parma fino a 3 anni ,cosi come l'iberico , la differenza sta nei maiali di razza diversa , e dalle parti del maiale usate , con il parma si usa la parte dietro del maiale e per il jamon la parte anteriore, le spalle , due pezzi del maiale completamente diversi per tipo di carne , sapore e consistenza , , prima di scrivere qualcosa dovresti prima informarti di cosa stai parlando

    Ad un matrimonio molti anni fa in molise mi servirono una fettina di prosciutto crudo ..la infilai in bocca cercando di masticarla ma era impossibile ..un pezzetto scese giù per la gola.. ma il resto si incastrava tra i denti allungandosi tipo budello...stavo soffocando e morendo!!!!! davanti a tutti.. .ho respirato con il naso escludendo il sistema bocca da nuotatore ...mi sono infilato la mano. in bocca tenendo la testa alta e con le dita ho tirato fuori quasi un metro di prosciutto allungato che sentivo sfilarsi in gola e in pancia ...lo ho buttato sulla tavola e ho respirato nuovamente ..!.perche? qualcuno sa rispondermi tecnicamente??
