Girl! You don't have to explain why you do what you do. If it works for you, do it. I always repot my plants right away as well, unless the seller has specifically advised me not to due to new roots etc.. There will always be people who disagree because they feel like their way is the only way. Love you and love this video! 😘

I usually don’t repot my plants right away unless the soil is sopping wet or the roots are coming out of the bottom. But, if that’s what you like to do, do it!!! Lol it is obviously working for you. And your plants don’t seem to mind.
Peaceful Planting some people think they know what’s best for everyone’s plants. Lol like some people would be against me using only soil and perlite for potting medium. But, I’m cheap lol and my plants like it so that’s what I do lol 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

Well I thought about it and... eventually the bark will break down a little bit and basically be a sponge for water and possibly condense the soil more so I just stopped putting it in there 🤷♀️ all my plants seem to be loving it 💚

Hi Sidney and Oliver (hope I spell your name correctly). I love your videos, your plants are very nice (especially that syngonium). The begonia sinbad looks so precious!! You hair looks great, I don't know if you changes the color or if it is the light but the "brown/reddish" color is lovely and suits you really well :) Regarding repoting the plants, I understand where you are coming from and I agree that very often plants are not in a great soil ... I am always shocked when I get a hoya in coco coir!! I try to wait 2 or 3 weeks to quarantine the plant and acclimate it to my environment. Then I repot it in better soil, but if it is wet I repot right away. I almost lost a few plants because they came too damp in a soil that retained too much moisture. I think everyone does things differently, and I don't understand why people get frustrated because other do things in another way ... everyone has different environment and habits. If this is working for you, it is great, no need to judge you!!

I was wondering about the immediate repotting but honestly the plants I've repotted as soon as I bought them are fine and the ones I've let stay in their nursery pot are fine too. Sometimes I look at the soil and I'm like "Absolutely Not". Other times everything is solid. It's a case by case situation for me for sure. Thank you for addressing this topic though... it made me feel better about my repotting decisions! Also, your eyeshadow is FIRE!!! THAT BLEND GIRL!!!

As far as “spilling the tea” (whatever that means! 😳)...Welcome to dealing with the public! Whenever you take a stand on anything there will be push-back. That’s OK and try not to take it personally. The internet and social media have made it much easier to express opinions. Everyone has them and many enjoy expressing them. I am MUCH older than you and have learned to listen politely, try not to respond and then do what I know is right for me. 🤗🌿 As I learned in a seminar once, people can throw it at you, but you don’t have to catch it! Great perspective and I like, that you do not act as if your approach is the only sensible one. I also repot most of the time as soon as I get the plant, no problems so far. There are many factors involved and I dont think, that this is a thing with a definitive solution. If one would have a large enough sample I would guess, that it does not really matter. I have no idea why this is such a contested issue in the community, it is more a question of believe. I like my plants in my preferred pots and in my soil, thats it.

I repot immediately too 👌🤫 In fact, the plants I have not repotted usually end having root rot! I repot to make sure there aren't any pests, check the health of the root system, and change to a lower water retention mix. Everyone does things differently, whatever works 🤷♀️

I have done this since the day I started getting plants and like you I have tons of grow lights all year around for my plants and I have NEVER HAD NOT ONE ISSUE WITH REPOTTING EVEN WHEN I DO IT IN WINTER! Nobody should be worried about your plants or how you care for them anyway honestly bc different things work for different people! So if this is what works for us then we will keep doing it and for those that have problems with repotting then they don’t have to do it! Its real simple! But to down grade someone or talk crap bc they do something different then the next person that just ain’t cool! To each is own and everyone’s ways should be respected ❤️👌🏻💯🥰

Aloha, i often re pot my new plants. A few may have gotten a little stressed but they came bak quickly. I love to order online but bcuz it takes almost 2 weeks for my orders to get to Hawaii, i have to be selective on what I order. Speaking of soil, i have to check for red ants.
Thank you from me, a black subscriber. I just finished reporting my Begonia Maculata Wightii I received today. It was shipped on May 28 from Logees and I could not track it after that. It showed up today seriously wilted, it cannot stand upright. I repotted it and tied it to a stake with plant Velcro. Please disregard the RUclips botanists. I repot my plants as soon as I receive them with the exception of plants from Steve leaves because they send an insert saying do not repot for 30 days or the warranty will be void.
I stand beside BLM no matter what 💚 I meant to mention the warranty situation/exception but completely forgot 🤦♀️ Thanks for watching and supporting 🥰💚
Bruh. I replant almost all of my plants right away because their soil typically sucks. I’m afraid they’ll die otherwise. I also buy a lot of plants from Lowe’s and Home Depot so that could be why I hate the soil they’re in.
