It might not be a positive one, but if you look at it - most oh HIM songs are about smth spiritual, just as any other metal band out there. In my eyes, it's THE genre for expressing human feelings/thoughts/true nature what have you.And well, church was a big influence of all that during the centuries. In the way how ppl think, act etc. So that's why he mentioned it, maybe..
