- “I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
― Frank Herbert, Dune

There is something so serene, beautiful, and mesmerizing about being in the desert, amongst the dunes and rocky mountains, and with breathtaking landscapes as far as the eye can see.
The music, the environment, the vibe, it's all so enchanting.
No joke this is my default reading track lately - perfect mood setter without being too distracting! The picture is great and haunting, too

This music is really good at evoking the emotion going through Paul's head as he is seeing possible futures.
Just like Hitler's Wagner - Dune is a WARNING

Your ambient track finally brought my inspiration to the needed lvl to fix a thinking problem with the world building of my book in work. Gratitude for your excellent work and the inspiration it brought to my mind ✊🏼 may you have a great week ⚡️
Nice, I am also working on some writing projects. I started a youtube channel; contextual expansion to share ,check out interest, and build interests. What are your interests in your writing currently?
@@contextualexpansion9914 i will check your channel after work 👌🏻 maybee you give some good inputs ! My major interest is nothing new and also not special , but it‘s my way of thinking and adapting. i‘m writing on a book which is influeced by tolkiens works. I miss something like this on the market , all the other stuff has to much magic and fantasy in it , So i thought i just write something by my own when nothing is around.. sounds like „ another „ tolkien influeced guy 😄 but he is the godfather ⚡️why not building on shoulders of giants.
@@iheliocrati9527 sounds great to me man. you know tolkien was a conscientous objector during ww2 and served as a medic in the front lines and trenches. i think he was also working on his way of thinking and adapting.

You do know that the whole point of Dune is to warn against the dangers of religion and how religion it is just a cultural waste product, right?
How so?
@@empyrealambientFrank Herbert was mad at Lynch for showing Paul as the messiah in the 1984 film.
The second book was written to mostly address this since a lot of people (like Lynch) misunderstood his point.
Spoiler: That is why Paul compares himself to Hitler for example.
In the first book (and the new films I think) Paul talks about how his mom (Jessica) will bring the jihad to them and force him into his role.
Meditation doesn’t have to have anything to do with religion
From what I've read with the author's intent behind it, is to be wary of charismatic leaders. How they can manipulate - distort politics, history & religion in order to rally the masses to their [ ] in this case revenge and power.
Heroes can't always be trusted.
You definetely have no friends, all of a sudden you went into religious dispute 😅
It's like mandi 😢

Ok all this high level mysticism, power struggles and whatnot, but what's the end goal of everyone here? I love these series! But in Dune universe where humanity can reach any star system they want, are "resources" this much a of a struggle point?
While it was a dull movie, Jupiter Ascending had the best depiction of what would be the ultimate resource in the universe. Time. While every other imaginable material resource is within your reach, humanity would only really strive to live longer!
I think Dune is meant as a prediction of our future based on the reflection of our present. That can be said about a lot of sci-fi but pretty much humans have always been the same. And if we stay the same far in the future then we will likely still be fighting over resources much like we are now.
@@empyrealambient good points. Our inherent greed is reflected in every aspect of our life.
Inequities will never disappear, just as war will never cease. No matter how advanced we become, we remain the same.
But the thing about the Dune universe is that the most prized resource of all, spice, is only from one planet. And people need that spice to be able to navigate space, to extend life, and to grant them special abilities.
As far as I understood it's about the end of the universe and if humanity is prepared for what's to come. There seems to be a great danger that Paul sensed because of his visions of the future. He is the first piece of a puzzle falling in place to reach a point where all of humanity is so devoted and united, that they are able to endure what's coming. (trying to not spoil too much here).
