I had a 1975 version of that same bike when I was 18. I'm from Oklahoma in the U.S. The paint scheme was slightly different. I bought it brand new and it was really a bullet proof, and very beautiful bike. I put a 1 or 2 tooth bigger sprocket on the front and geared it up just a little because I mainly rode mine on the streets and secondary highways. Once, however, I was in the woods and went down a super steep hill and lost control and fell headlong over the handlebars and hit my head on a rock. I was wearing a very cheap helmet and ended up with a concussion. Fun times!
This is a good ol fashioned video of what enduros were made for , my first bike when i was 15 was a 1982, DT125 i felt like the richest person in the world ! This is a Great Video 👍
Merci Micou pour cette belle balade aveyronnaise ! Visiblement tu n’as pas été gêné par le trafic …. Quel plaisir ! Belle livrée pour cette DTF identique au DTMX !
I have a 1978 DT250, its not road approved but thats not a issue as im in Canada so we have lots of goverment access roads in the beautiful rocky mountans! I also have a 2004 RM125 with 50-55 hp!
What a beautiful bike. Where do you get all these fantastic classic bikes? Here in Sweden they are almost impossible to find anymore. Thank you for a great video. Really appreciate that you leave the original sound, and stay away from putting any music in your videos.
Over here in the UK, I have a Swedish 1982 125MX. Imported in 2019. From what I understand quite a lot of European DTs have ended up over here in the last 10 years.
@@ericdrossart2371 Texas has everything. Tall forests in the east, brush and beaches in the south, desert and mountains in the west, prairie grass and big hills in the middle, and flat plains in the panhandle.
Oh really ! Nice i don’t know that !! When you think Texas in France you think first desert … and Colin Edwards, The Texas Tornado ridding a long time for a french team in Moto GP, Tech 3 !
The power is lower on the whole range wit a 125 than compared to the 175. With the 175 cylinder, the torque is more pleasant, particularly at mid range. No need to ride at high revs.
Hello. This part of France is "l'aveyron", between the towns of La Canourgue, Séverac le Chateau and rivière sur Tarn, near Millau. This also on "les Causses" and les gorges du Tarn.
Classic 2-strokes, castles and amazing French countryside. ALWAYS a treat!
🤗 Day made! Itchy Boots is on hiatus, at least you have a new video up! That bikey looks a treat in every respect!

Thank you for another wonderful video of your lovely country on another awesome 2-stroke enduro! I live in the USA and have a 1976 DT175 in blue!
That looks absolutely fantastic, the bike, the scenery, the terrain the architecture. Another great video, thanks for sharing it with us.
You don't need a400 to have fun! Great video
I had the 1978…bumblebee yellow and black. Had monoshock rear suspension at that point. This brings back memories 👍

Sympa tes pneumatiques. C’est du chinois ? J’en avais mis des ressemblant sur mon xt et j’ai mangé l’arrière en deux deux.
If you only had to ride it on the road would you change the tires so road tyres? Or are the "knobbly" ones still safe in the wet? Thanks
Hello. The 1976 knobby tires where not very safe on the wet. Modern knobby tyres are OK nowadays.
@@micoumeekoo thank you so much! I want this bike buy only for normal roads in the UK. I will get modern ones
What country is this. Nevermind just saw the tag. Looks like a cool place. Never really see French countryside
Soute or France, a department called Aveyron ! Beautiful landscape ….
@@ericdrossart2371 looks a lot like my area in Texas. Geographically at least. Perfect for raising sheep
I thougt it was less mountainous in Texas and more desert . In France you can have a lot of different landscape in a short perimeter
