His eyes started to softened everytime she's around, he started to look after her without no one to see.. He even wait for her to come back. He cares for her. This is a masterpiece.
Even until the end I was still confuse. He never cried that much to Eun gi as how he cried to Jae hee when he blame himself for Jae hee becoming a monster because of him. And it confuse me more, when he said he will wait for Jar hee if she turn herself in to the police, no matter how long, but don't expect him to love her? He told Eun gi the same when he said to his thoughts that if Eun gi would still want him even if she gets her memories back, he will never ever let go of her. So I'm still confuse lmao. Some says he started to love Eun gi even before the car crash so why did he break Eun gi's heart and said the most hurtful words towards her? And 1 year after the car crash, when Eun gi comes back to Maroo with amnesia, he seem not liking it. But at the end ull realize he's been waiting for her to come back since then after the car crash? He even knows where Eun gi have been when she is missing after the car crash. He even asked his senior doctor to take care of her before Eun gi even went to his house with amnesia. So yea confused asf 🤣 I just didn't get this satisfaction, like, there's not enough to convince me how he really loves Eungi, how he got over Jae hee and eventually loved Eun gi except the last part/ending where it seemed like it was forced to convince viewers he loves Eun gi cus he took the knife stab for her. The drama kinda lacks intimacy and focus on how Maroo growingly loves Eungi and slowly getting over Sae hee.

He tried to fight his feeling for Eun gi like what he say when he tried to avoid Eun gi when she look for him when she have an amnesia,cause he know that their life cant be connected because of his past but when he knows that Eun gi would be in danger hes scared thats why he protect her and cant hide his feeling anymore and even his life would be in danger.About his ex his not inlove with her anymore, shes kinda of a sister for him cause they are childhood friend and she know the terrible life of her and his ex knows it when she was pushed by Maroo when Eun gi head hurts when she visited her at their apartment. She know that Maroo is over with her.She can see it through his eyes.,the love that she never felt before with Maroo.
wasn't it hinted/indicated to us the audience that it was no longer game for him but he fell for her for real from the first time they kissed and his eyes weren't open (I remember this being a big deal as he never closes his eyes while kissing women)

Maru loves unconditionally where in he's willing to sacrifice for the one he loves. Just like what he did for Jaehee but then she left him. Years later, they meet again. After Jaehee accused Maru of blackmailing him, that's when he wanted revenge. He wanted to take down Jaehee and in order to do so, he approached Eungi. That's when everything went wrong. You can see in the first few episodes that he was just using Eungi. But soonly, he gets to knew her. When he saw how Eungi sincerely loves him, he sees himself in her. The rain scene where Eungi confessed how much she loves him, I think that's when he started to have feelings for her. He even kissed Eungi while she was asleep. He said he regrets getting Eungi involved. He has feelings for her but he knew better that the circumstances won't let him be with Eungi after what he did to her. So he pushed her away as hard as he could, so Eungi could also go back to what she left for him. After the beach scene, his eyes turned soft and teary because if only the circumstances were different, he wouldn't have hurt Eungi that way. Then the car accident happened. When Eungi came back without her memories, he still pushed her away because he knew she wouldn't want to be with him if only she had her memories. But when he knew that Eungi's life was in danger, he decided to took her in and fight for her rights that she lost because of him. Maru was sick at this time too but he wanted to make sure that Eungi will be in her rightful place before he gets surgery. You can see that Maru really loves Eungi at this point. He cares for her and he's the one fighting for her since Eungi hasn't regain her memories. He told her she has to get to her feet back so that he can disappear from her life. The kiss in episode 15, Maru said to Eungi that this was her first kiss because he kissed her with genuine feelings this time. Maru was happy to be with Eungi that he wanted to enjoy that absurd happiness for more before Eungi gets her memories back. When she did, he knew she can't forgive him but he still waited for her. (Eungi is back, episode 17) He knew Eungi won't stop until she destroyed him and Jaehee. So after the wedding, he went to convince Jaehee to turn herself in. He said he will wait for her to convince her. I feel so sad for all of them when Maru broked down that time. He regret taking the blame up for Jaehee before because if he didn't, their lives won't probably this complicated and tiring. He won't be like that, Jaehee won't be like that, and Eungi won't be like that. It all started to go wrong when he covered up a crime that was supposed to be Jaehee's. So in order to set Eungi at peace, he convinced Jaehee to turn herself in exchange of him. He will live with her but can't promise to love her back. Jaehee didn't get convinced because he wanted all of Maru, not just the body. On ep 19, she showed Maru how Eungi will get destroyed by the wrongdoings of Taesan. Since everything was falling apart from them, he asked Eungi to just run away together. But sadly, that isn't gonna work. The ending was really unsatisfying and rushed😭 The resolution of the characters was when they knew that Maru is very sick. Jaehee turned herself in and Eungi came back for Maru after knowing all the things he did for her. In the end, they got their happy ending so it's enough for me. I just wished they could have showed more😭 I can't get over with this drama up until now help
I still remember although faintly, I was in despair, broken, and shattered. Gone with the wind. I cried so much watching this drama. Thinking back i must of been crazy over a kdrama. Lol. I love kang ma roo more than Song Joon ki role play in DOTs. Plus, I lost count as to how many times I already watch this - Innocent Man. I don't think i could being myself to watch DOTs as many time as I did for Innocent Man. Seeing DOTs once and I'm good, but Innocent Man is a different story. Maybe 2020 I'll watch Innocent Man again😌❤💖💛💜💚💙💕

our kang ma roo !! it's been 4 years since i 've watched this drama yet i still feel like crying everytime i see the mvs ! i don't even have the courage to rewatch it !! kang ma roo really went through hell .. living hell.. how can his life be this messed up .. i still remember all his emotions when he was betrayed when he was hurting inside watchign eun gi when she was taking revenge on him i still remember the pain so well .. and when he was torning apart when he got sick .. just thinking about that moment breaks my heart .... our ma roo ......... the ending should have been better .. it's really heartbreaking how they ended this way ..
heyyy it ended well thought at least we see ma roo ended up happily with eun gi not like other revenge drama where the one who took revenge was always face death in the end (nice guy, shark, fashhion king, etc) or gone (alhambra) i think the writer was wise enough to give that ending in innocent man to us
Rewatched again after 6 years... This drama still made me cry.. I cried little more as I can feel more the betrayal and the pain than the first time i watched this. One of the best melodrama ❤️
i just started watching this drama and as soon as i heard this song in knew it was Junsu Oppa's magical voice. i came to confirm and i was right. I can recognise DB5K voices everywhere. Junsu has so much soul in his voice.

Aku pertama kali nonton drama ini tahun 2014 pas awal masuk kuliah, aku kangen banget aku nonton ulang di tahun 2021 april ini, sumpah ya mataku bengkak 2 hari pkoknya ini drama bener bener feelnya dpt banget, 1-10 aku kasi nilai 10 beneran chemistry mereka dpt banget. For anyone who’s confused about the drama, this is just my interpretation after watching almost 10 times, just wanna help a friend here, though you can disagree with it. 😁 1. When did maroo start loving eungi ? Maroo has been interested in her since the beginning, you can see from the scene where they parted at eungi house, he says something like ‘its not everyday i met someone I like’ But at the same time, he still hasn’t move on from jaehee and somehow plan to use eungi for revenge. But at this time his love wasn’t deep enough. His love grows deeper when eungi ran from her house leaving everything for maroo, the scene where she came and met him in the rain. I think thats the moment he seriously fall in love with eungi. But yet its not easy to move on from a childhood love, jaehee which he has loved since he was a kid. 2. Why did he breaks eungi heart before the crash ? He used eungi for revenge initially and even causing eungi to leave her dad which turns out causing her dad’s death. He also the one who’s responsible for what jaehee did cause he falsely report himself and let jaehee go in the early scene. So if you understand this, its because of his guilt. His guilt towards someone he loves, that he think he doesn’t deserved her and since she knew that initially he used her, so he just go on with the lies that he still is using her when he actually wasn’t anymore. You can also see the part in the accident, why did he smile ? Because his heart broke so much, losing the second love of his life and feeling all the guilt, he thought its better to die rather than living which instead, he lives. 3. Why did maroo seems not liking it that eungi comes back after the accident ? He actually fell in love deeper with eungi bcs she did came back even after amnesia, which jaehee never did. But why he seems to not like it ? Bcs he thinks he brought disaster in eungi’s life and also career. She’s supposed to take over the company not jaehee the monster maroo made. The girl he loves lose her throne to the monster he made. Of course he’s feeling guilty, he just hoped she can get well again and take over her place back, not being some stupid person and lives with him (which in this scene, he’s a pathetic, a scumbag and even living by scamming people) She deserves better. But as soon as he realize that if he just let it be, the one he loves would never get her place back since jaehee is playing dirty tricks, plus her hideout is found and eungi in danger, jaehee even order her brother to kill her, so he got to do something. Thats why he shows up and helps her. But still that doesn’t removes the guilt, and he knows once eungi remembers everything, eungi wont forgive him. So thats why he said to eungi ‘if you still loves me when your memories come back, we’ll get married then’ because he knows, she wont be able to forgive him and so did he himself cant forgive himself. 4. He told jaehee to turn herself in, live with him afterwards but dont expect him to love her ? Because he thought thats the best outcome, he made the monster become human again and gave eungi her throne back. All for eungi actually. And he hopes eungi will be better off with someone else being the ceo of the company. But turns out jaehee doesn’t want to turn herself in. So there you go. Thats just my opinion on how the drama is, hopefully it helps 😁

Because Maru such a hypocrite person and never said honest abt his feeling even for himself. And actually, I think the moment Maru fall in love with Eungi was when Maru got mooked by his father about his not-so-good background and Eungi's father lost his temper cause Maru didn't want to answer, and start to confront Eungi abt how much Eungi knows abt 'this kind of man' And then Eungi answer ; "Because that's not important to me. What is important to me know is how person he now and how our future will be like. Why he expelled from college before he meet me, that's not important to me at all" And while write this comment, I just remember Eungi's word was the same word that Maru used to the gold-digger women in the first epi omoooo 😭😭 Kang Maru and his karma.

This drama took me on so many twists, turns and rollercoaster rides that my feelings on each main character was just as complicated and twisted 😅😂 I recently finished watching Reborn Rich and am currently catching up on Vincenzo. I enjoy these two dramas but I can’t stop thinking about Innocent Man because of Soon Joon Ki 😂 his Maroo character has an imprint in my heart 😭

Just finished watching 'Nice Guy' on Netflix-watched all 20 episodes over 2 days-it was brilliant! Enjoyed the story/plot and the supurb acting! Song Joong ki certainly plays complex characters.( Like this &'Vincenzo'.) I think this series is currently my favorite Song Joong ki series! In Vincenzo, he also portrays a character of deep complexity, extremely well, .Am trying to find and watch everything he has played in thus far. Would have watched this sooner had I realized Song Joong ki was cast in it-the Netflix pic looks nothing like him. Don't you just love his tousled hair look-long but still shaped, (and still shaped around his ears)?!Super-attractive! It may seem like a strange thing to notice but I always notice men's footwear.( I also always notice their hands & nails!) I really like the great quality black and also the brown leather boots/shoes Song Joong ki wears in this series. It makes me wonder who was responsible for those beautiful choices! Loved watching 'Nice Guy!'

our kang ma roo !! it's been 4 years since i 've watched this drama yet i still feel like crying everytime i see the mvs ! i don't even have the courage to rewatch it !! kang ma roo really went through hell .. living hell.. how can his life be this messed up .. i still remember all his emotions when he was betrayed when he was hurting inside watchign eun gi when she was taking revenge on him i still remember the pain so well .. and when he was torning apart when he got sick .. just thinking about that moment breaks my heart .... our ma roo ......... the ending should have been better .. it's really heartbreaking how they ended this way ..
BUT STILL I HATE HIM FOR BETRAYED SONG KI? LOL I FORGET THAT NAME
heyyy it ended well thought at least we see ma roo ended up happily with eun gi not like other revenge drama where the one who took revenge was always face death in the end (nice guy, shark, fashhion king, etc) or gone (alhambra) i think the writer was wise enough to give that ending in innocent man to us
near best revenge film is I Saw The Devil imo.

This drama still made me cry.. I cried little more as I can feel more the betrayal and the pain than the first time i watched this. One of the best melodrama ❤️

i just started watching this drama and as soon as i heard this song in knew it was Junsu Oppa's magical voice. i came to confirm and i was right. I can recognise DB5K voices everywhere. Junsu has so much soul in his voice.

Through the drama he said that he wished he could vanish and leave everything behind and start again.. after his surgery he couldn't remember anybody and had at last a chance in his life to be happy with the last person he was really happy for a bit..

For anyone who’s confused about the drama, this is just my interpretation after watching almost 10 times, just wanna help a friend here, though you can disagree with it. 😁
1. When did maroo start loving eungi ?
Maroo has been interested in her since the beginning, you can see from the scene where they parted at eungi house, he says something like ‘its not everyday i met someone I like’ But at the same time, he still hasn’t move on from jaehee and somehow plan to use eungi for revenge. But at this time his love wasn’t deep enough. His love grows deeper when eungi ran from her house leaving everything for maroo, the scene where she came and met him in the rain. I think thats the moment he seriously fall in love with eungi. But yet its not easy to move on from a childhood love, jaehee which he has loved since he was a kid.
2. Why did he breaks eungi heart before the crash ?
He used eungi for revenge initially and even causing eungi to leave her dad which turns out causing her dad’s death. He also the one who’s responsible for what jaehee did cause he falsely report himself and let jaehee go in the early scene. So if you understand this, its because of his guilt. His guilt towards someone he loves, that he think he doesn’t deserved her and since she knew that initially he used her, so he just go on with the lies that he still is using her when he actually wasn’t anymore. You can also see the part in the accident, why did he smile ? Because his heart broke so much, losing the second love of his life and feeling all the guilt, he thought its better to die rather than living which instead, he lives.
3. Why did maroo seems not liking it that eungi comes back after the accident ?
He actually fell in love deeper with eungi bcs she did came back even after amnesia, which jaehee never did. But why he seems to not like it ? Bcs he thinks he brought disaster in eungi’s life and also career. She’s supposed to take over the company not jaehee the monster maroo made. The girl he loves lose her throne to the monster he made. Of course he’s feeling guilty, he just hoped she can get well again and take over her place back, not being some stupid person and lives with him (which in this scene, he’s a pathetic, a scumbag and even living by scamming people) She deserves better. But as soon as he realize that if he just let it be, the one he loves would never get her place back since jaehee is playing dirty tricks, plus her hideout is found and eungi in danger, jaehee even order her brother to kill her, so he got to do something. Thats why he shows up and helps her. But still that doesn’t removes the guilt, and he knows once eungi remembers everything, eungi wont forgive him. So thats why he said to eungi ‘if you still loves me when your memories come back, we’ll get married then’ because he knows, she wont be able to forgive him and so did he himself cant forgive himself.
4. He told jaehee to turn herself in, live with him afterwards but dont expect him to love her ?
Because he thought thats the best outcome, he made the monster become human again and gave eungi her throne back. All for eungi actually. And he hopes eungi will be better off with someone else being the ceo of the company. But turns out jaehee doesn’t want to turn herself in. So there you go.
Thats just my opinion on how the drama is, hopefully it helps 😁

YASSS.. that's all you said was 1000% true. Some of my friend can't interpreted what's Kang Maru feeling towards Eungi until last epi. Because Maru such a hypocrite person and never said honest abt his feeling even for himself.
And actually, I think the moment Maru fall in love with Eungi was when Maru got mooked by his father about his not-so-good background and Eungi's father lost his temper cause Maru didn't want to answer, and start to confront Eungi abt how much Eungi knows abt 'this kind of man'
And then Eungi answer ; "Because that's not important to me. What is important to me know is how person he now and how our future will be like. Why he expelled from college before he meet me, that's not important to me at all"
And while write this comment, I just remember Eungi's word was the same word that Maru used to the gold-digger women in the first epi omoooo 😭😭

This drama took me on so many twists, turns and rollercoaster rides that my feelings on each main character was just as complicated and twisted 😅😂 I recently finished watching Reborn Rich and am currently catching up on Vincenzo. I enjoy these two dramas but I can’t stop thinking about Innocent Man because of Soon Joon Ki 😂 his Maroo character has an imprint in my heart 😭
