Springfield holds a special place in our hearts and we know it does for lots of other folks as well. So, we decided to help rekindle some great memories for Springfield native by taking them back to the houses they grew up in. We reached out to Doug Pitt of Care to Learn and he was excited to revisit his childhood home.

I always get a good feeling about Brad in interviews and having such a level headed brother and coming from a good family just confirms he is likely to be genuine.

Definitely! You reach a certain point where you’ve obtained enough life experience to determine who’s genuine / not regardless of their status 😊

Ironically, even though he is not as 'successful" as his brother Brad, he is probably happier. He has stable work, family and life, while famous Brad is living quite a tumultuous lifestyle.

He is probably smarter than Brad as well.

Stable work? Brad regularly gets movie roles, even with big name directors. Brad’s career is pretty damn stable too.

Brad isn’t an absolute train wreck like so many actors from broken homes. Maybe the traditional family unit isn’t so awful?

Just saw this Doug. I have lived in Colorado since 1999, but my family and myself are all Missouri. I use to audit, I am a retired CPA, Lee McLean’s hotel chain in my 20’s and loved auditing the local Ramada back then in Springfield. Springfield is a wonderful city. Thanks for all you do in helping the world. I know it might be a little rough being compared to your brother Brad a lot. You are a lot like him in many ways. Humble and “good folk” as they would say in the Ozarks. Boy, I wish you could get the young generation to wake up to the reality of the virus. Or, at least, get the business people who have that resort jammed with the young during the Memorial holiday and now July 4th to figure a way to be safer. They keep showing that pool on our local news in Colorado. Youser, it for sure makes me a little less proud to be from Missouri. An interview just released in Colorado shows a man, not sure if he owns the resort, saying we just don’t do that kind of thing here. Like he did not understand how peer pressure can be so difficult during those youthful years. Hope you will help be a spokesperson for this! Get Brad to lend a hand. I think both of you together could make a major impact reaching out right now on the virus and getting young people to listen. Nancy in Colorado

Fame to a Missourian is being well known and cherished by a large number of family and friends. Nothing larger than that.
