      Thank you. Yeap, more traffic - more delays. I just hope it is not going to be like Union Station re-making... 10 years project... or may be more

      Agree, the downtown part of Gardiner should be taken down. Only people who travel to downtown would use QEW and Don Valley then.

    Yep, that's that idiot John Tory for you - piss away 50 million dollars destroying a perfectly functioning segment of road. The Gardiner obviously isn't perfect but given the density of the downtown it handles the traffic magnificently, plus elevated roads are sexy - the cars whiz by overhead, less exhaust at street level, you see the city higher up - such a shame, the road represents a time when politicians did things wisely and look how their tearing it apart... look at how much work it takes to demo it, that tells u it was really strong - finally this demo doesn't look very "carbon neutral" - it EASILY had over 10yrs of life left

      just to add some info , the gardiner demolition was planned by the provincial government back in 2000, but red tape prevented it until now
