Good healthy selection of plants; thanks for taking us shopping Rachael!
Hello, my Carol! Thank you so much for watching. Happy, happy Tuesday! 😊
Nice plant tour! That is the best time to shop when the the plants first come in. After they are there for a while all the news ain't good news for the plants!😂😂😂
Hi Robert! Yes, indeed. The fresh delivery makes all the difference! I love it
This was a very nice tour. Love to see healthy plants. And something new to for Thank you. 😊😊😊😊😊
Thank you for watching, Audrey!
I squealed too when you pulled out the Homeloema. I also saw my pearls n jade and lemon meringue....I WILL get those plants before it's all over with. Thanks for the shopping trip. This is the only way I can go plant shopping without swiping my card🤣
LOL!!! Hi Yvette!!! I had so much fun on this trip. that Selby had my heart beating. I know this one is not for me again right now, but someday...... someday.....
It’s the little things that associates do in the garden center of Lowe’s that make a huge difference in the plants. Dumping the extra water out… top tier. I can’t say how many times I’ve lifted a pot of water in the garden center 😂
Yes. I completely agree. It's the small things that make such a big difference. The plant attendant looked like he was in a plant zone caring for the plants. He was enjoying his plant care time. I was happy to see it, and I could tell he was happy with what he was doing.
Thank you for watching! ☺️
Beautiful finds Rachael! They would have jumped into my arms too! And some aglaonemas! I have trouble with the silver sword too.....my first one I paid lots for back when they were pricey, is doing well but it is petite....my other one that was big I ended up cutting it all back and I am starting it again! Fun fun fun when hubby helps film....what a trooper!! I hope your 2 new alocasias are still doing fine! I love them all too! See you soon butterfly! Love tina
Hello to you my Tina!!!! Yes, they just jumped into my arms as happy as can be!
We had a wonderful time shopping. I love that he indulged me through all of the plant rambling I was doing.
The silver sword doesn't look as if it would be so challenging, but.... I wonder if it needs less light that it seems to need. I have my two-leaf plant in full sun. hmmmmm....
Yes, both of these alocasia are doing really well. the dragon with the broken leaf if still holding on full and strong. I am shocked! I will take it as long as it wants to hold on.
Thank you for watching Tina!!! Kisses and hugs to the baby girls!
hello Rachel, watching now,, I don't skip the ads for my friendly support
Thank you so much, Jonah. I watch ads as well! Thank you so much!
Love your energy! My process of introducing a plant to my home is similar to yours. Some ppl say, don't re-pot it until it acclimates to your home. Nahhhh. If you don't make it after removal of all your soil, a proper soapy bath, and soaking your roots in water and hydrogen peroxide, you don't get to live here!! Doesn't matter how much I pay for the plant, it's getting the same treatment when it comes to mingle with the rest of my plants. At the same time, I've never had a plant die after such preventative treatment.
I 💯٪ agree! Bath and repot. Those plants almost always have hitchhikers at this time of year. No matter where you buy them from!
Good job!
very true Rachel,,, seeing healthy plants is great but if plants are dying I fell so bad
Yes, dying plants make me feel so sad. I went into a garden center and saw sad plants. it really made me feel sad until I went to another store, and I saw happy plants.

Outstanding plant tour Rachael
From beginning to end💚
Thank you so much, Lisa! ☺️ happy Tuesday!
12:39 green apple Philodendron looks so much like the Green Princess Philodendron 🤔
Oh my, Trader Joe's... Will have to stop by TJ today.
I too am an Alocasia Head❤😂💝💖
You are "King Alocasia Head" LOL!!!!
TJ always brings in great alocasia. The small pots can be a little sneaky because they blend in with everything else. Last year this size was $3.99. the price increase for $1.00 includes a cute ceramic pot. I am ok with that.
I hope you find some plant babies in your TJ
GM. I was shopping for plants at my local Lowe's and was being bad. They had boxes that hadn't been opened yet, so me being me I opened a couple of them and find an Alocasia that I've never seen before. So u know I had to buy it. It was from Live Trends. After getting it home and searching it, it's an Alocasia Low Rider. I was happy to have purchased it. I love the stems on it. They look sort of like zebra specks. I do love Alocasias, so I'm going to put in substrate and watch it grow. But I do love the ones you purchased.
Have a wonderful day!!
Ooooooo.... the excitement of unopened plant boxes!!!!! The low rider is amazing. It grows so quickly. I am sure you will love it! My lowrider does not have specs on the stems. that sounds so pretty! Enjoy your new plant baby. thank you for sharing your find with me. Now I need to keep up my shopping to find some unopened boxes. LOL!!!!!!
Rachellllll still keeping an eye on you 😅 Looking marvelous as usual 🎉
Thank you so much, Barry! Harpy, happy Tuesday!
Omg 😲 wow Rachael... taped up leaf 🍃 how special. I am sure it will be saved. So glad you didn't snip it off as I suggested.
Soft ambient light 🤔 silver dragon...yes... agree. I burnt my baby leaves from grow light.
Super fantastic video!
Thanks for sharing 👍🏽 🩷💚
CARLOS!!!! Happy Wednesday to you!!!
Yes, my dragon scale is still in its cast and the leaf is still healthy. I will hold on as long as it does. The new leaf is well below the break line, so I am hoping that it will hold on until that leaf is ready to emerge. I would love for it to stay for keeps. The cast is not blue painters' tape. It supports the stem much better.
My silver dragon is loving the low light. I was shocked with that. I was stressing my plants with too much light. They burn so easily.
11:12 this is the Ficus Shiverana. The Tineke is lighter in color almost like Belize when unfurling, but then lightens to beige
Yes, you are right. I don't know why i mixed those up. that is that special plant that was hard to find not too long ago. It is good to know that some of the color stays with it as it matures. I love that.
Thank you
@lotsofpots.Rachael with the Shiverana, all the color stays. It is a beautiful mix of green 💚 dark and light. @crazpyplantguy Christian showed his and what a beautiful ficus. My Shiverana is in 4" pot and doing well now. Took me a while to realize it needed more water and more light than I was providing.
The Tineke does lighten to watercolor beige splotches. I love the new orange tinted leaves. So much so I had to get the Belize Ficus. 👨🏽🌾👩🏽🌾happy gardening 💝
Nice Alocasia finds they are so cute !😍
Thank you, Jackie! I was so happy to find them. They couldn't hide from me. Lol!
I love the baginda and have one surviving corm! I didn't realize they don't need bright light! Thanks! Beautiful video!
thank you so much, Mona!
I didn't realize that I kept stressing my plants out with too much light. They were stretching to go below the light that they are receiving. When I changed the lighting for them. they started to thrive. My Frydek (green). Stingray and Longiloba like very bright light. My jewel alocasia like ambient light. My cuprea had leaves that were cupping downward. I put it in soft light and they are flat again.
@lotsofpots.Rachael Wow! My cuprea has been cupping and bending downward! I already suspected that the silver dragon could use less light, but you confirmed it! I am literally going to rearrange them. Thanks, Rachael!
I might have to go check it out tomorrow 💕
Yes, I hope you find a fresh delivery as well!
The ficus was not a tineke, but possibly a moonshine/stone or shivereana. And i am also over philodendron like u, and loving my elephant ear family plants. Love your rainy day shops!❤
Thank you, M! The alocasia really are amazing. This is the time of year to find a lot of different varieties. Enjoy!
the Lilies and Hydraenga are lovely :
Yes, they are. I love the way they look all together.
🪴Happy Planting🌿
Thank you so much June. Happy Wednesday to you!!!
Would you consider putting one of your "extra" Alocasia on a moss pole to get gigantic leaves? I love those dragons (scale, breath, etc.) but I have limited space. That Nebula is everything you described. Wish I had more room!
Wait a minute! Those size up on a moss pole! Yes! Yes! And yes! I'm going to try it for sure! Thank you for this!
@@lotsofpots.Rachael You've got to check out Sydney Plant Guy. He's even got his Manjula on moss poles, and they are HUGE!
1:43 I would have snipped that broken leaf off. It was spent.
Nebula ❤ yes🎉
Peace Lily in water and perlite 👍🏽
Omg 😲 twice
6:06 that nerve plant...Lord have mercy
Dumping out excess water 👏🏽yes, great if they do that!
Rachael, my Calathea Island 🏝 is doing so well. I am no longer afraid.
10:17 great husband! 👍🏽
A peace lily in water is perfect!
I am so happy your Calathea are doing well. I am not surprised with that. You have the perfect home for Calathea.
Yes, my husband listened as I went on, and on, and on about every plant in that store. LOL!!! So sweet!
@@lotsofpots.Rachael that's love ❤️ special couple 👫🏿
Rachel that Ficus Shiverana remains variegated. It is the largest I’ve seen in a big box store.
Thank you so much, brenda. ☺️ I see why people like it so much. The leaves are beautiful!
I have several Ficus varieties and I want to add this one as well.
0:59 café bustelo ❤
YUM!!!!!
That ficus is a moonshine and they stay that color and sometimes can be a light pinkish orange
Thank you so much Rachael. I am happy to know that they will keep some of their color. That has to look amazing when the plant is big and full!!!
Thank you so much Rachel! I am so happy to know that she keeps some of her color. That has to be amazing on a full mature plant!
That rubber plant, the light green is a sheveriana, not a teneke.
Argh! You are right. That is the plant that was hard to find a little while ago. Thank you! 😃
That is a green dragon scale. Alocasia will not grow on a moss pole, they do not make aerial roots! The Sydney plant guy doesn’t have alocasia, he posted short today throwing his frydek away lol. I have about 30 varieties of alocasia and yours look great growing just fine the way you plant them. No moss poles need lol :)
thank you so much. Wow! Thirty varieties of Alocasia sounds amazing! I love them all so much. Thank you for sharing.
