She Lived At Cerro Gordo In The 1940s!

  • This video is a real treat. We got a visit from Jean Ray Kendrick (previously Adams) who's father, Ralph Adams, ran Cerro Gordo in the late 1940s to the early 1950s. A period of time that is rarely covered by any of the history books.
I hope you enjoy hearing her stories from that period of time!

Hearing from a person who was there while it was a functioning mine, is a treasure! I'm so glad that you taped it and put the video on RUclips.

A monumental occasion in the history of Cerro Gordo! That town farmed out a bunch of silver, but it certainly also has been home to many gems of mankind, like this here sweetheart!

Ah Brent...I didn't expect that reveal...that she had passed away. She reminded me of my mother in law that passed as well and I had to fight back tears. Jean truly was part of the history of Cerro Gordo and to hear her speak of her time there is truly a blessing. RIP Jean.

When Jeanne was sat on the porch I thought, She doesn’t look old enough to have been there in 1940. She seemed like a lovely lady.

Last of a dying breed. My grandpa is 86 years old and still thriving. The last grandparent in our family and we need to cherish every moment. This lady got to see her past one last time. Such a beautiful person she was.❤❤❤❤❤
