Crash my car just to feel again is such a powerful line. Ronnie has always, regardless to genre, always been a master writer. If the ear is not used to the "screams" pull up lyrics. He also has 2 extremely clean kinda classical pieces. Also since you love drums, Falling In Reverse has Luke Holland one of the best drummers in the business.
That is my favorite line from this song, while so many are good. And everyone seems to breeze over it. Crash my car just to feel again speaks more to depression than anyone who has experienced it. Powerful words, powerful music!!
Popular Monster is the song that made me notice Falling In reverse when it came out. Ronnie spoke my life in this one and I fought harder through my worst parts of depression and my PTSD because of him. Now I'm a fan forever. Voices in my head also speaks about my mental health struggles. Good good stuff bro. Great reaction!!!!! ❤️❤️
I genuinely love seeing people react to a Falling In Reverse song for the first time. The look on anyone's face when Ronnie starts dropping bars, then gives a guttural demonic vocal, followed by the falsetto of an Angel... yeah.... Those looks make me appreciate the band a whole lot more. You've got a new subscriber here, Teddy... keep up the killer reactions, man....
Best part about Ronnie is that his screams, growls, all that sounds exactly like that live. Man can SHRRRIIIIEK and then go right into the smoothest most beautiful vocals.
Hey bud, Fellow brit here. I've been watching your reactions to Falling in reverse, and I just wanted to give you a brief background to his depression. Basically he has PTSD, He went to prison for I think 7 or 8 years, The whole thing was obviously traumatic as it was one of the bad prisons so he often said he had to literally sleep with one eye open all the time. The court room he's in is a callback to one of his previous original songs when he started up the band, I also believe it's possibly the same court room he was sentenced in. So yeah, He will often speak about how all of it has made him feel via his songs. Amazing band through and through, Ronnie has shown his true colours in the more recent years with his inspiring talent, Dedication to his music, and the love for his fans.
I’ve found you by your FIR reactions… and you are by far my favorite. The way you articulate what you feel when you listen is how I feel but can’t articulate lol so thank you. 🫶🏽
I loved your reaction to this. Watching your excitement discovering the joys of metal. It’s fantastic. More of this please. I’m gonna go down a Teddy Grey On Stuff watches Falling in Reverse rabbit hole tonight and I’m excited about it.
OMG! I literally laughed out when you threw the shoe. Falling in Reverse is my favorite band and got me through my divorce in 2019. You now became my favorite music reactionist! Your awesome!
Seems like you have a natural feel for metal music man. Please use these guys as a gateway drug and see where it takes you! I'll gladly be along for that ride 🤘
I just discover your reaction videos and you literrally blew my away ! Your analysis of lyrics in front of the video clip is trully impressive ! I love metal music and Falling In Reverse for a long time now and it's trully awesome that people who doesn't listen metal enjoys the discovery ! About the breakdowns, it's one of the most important part of a metal song, when the lead singer lets the place to the musicians to express their talent ! Pure emotional moment every time ;) And I was f**king waiting about the shoes to smash the wall !
This was the first track that got me onto Falling in Reverse in 2019. I remembered Ronnie from back in my heavy emo days in Escape the Fate and somehow just forgot about him when he went to jail. This track is my favorite. I would suggest now it's time for "I'm Not A Vampire Revamped". That gives you 3 songs with Ronnie's different ranges.
AHHH I KNEW he looked so familiar! I kept thinking it was just the traditional emo/scene look that was confusing me but yes I totally remember him now!
I miss Escape the Fate so much !!!!!! I guess this is the closest you can get to that is Ronnie in Faling in Reverse. I still enjoy ETF’s music more but Falling in Reverse is decent.
That's EXACTLY what happened to me. I'm a zoomer but I kinda had a "phase" (like unironically lol) but yeah. I re-discovered ETF from an AMV I had watched, the song One for the Money. Thought that they sounded different, but never really checked it out. A couple years pass and BOOM i saw a reaction to Popular Monster and I had to stop the video and listen to the song on my own. It genuinely was that good and gripped me. Especially knowing what I had been going through at that point of time, the song was an immediate favourite. I still listen to it quite regularly too. And knowing the man behind it made everything come full circle. I think they had just released The Drug in Me is Reimagined as well and man, I had their songs blasting the whole day. And now I'm really happy when others find out about them and genuinely have the same reaction as I did. They also made me appreciate reactions so much more too.
Ronnie Radke is so unbelievably talented and the more you listen the more you realize that he can do anything. He's just that good. Great reaction 👏 I hope you do the reimagined versions of 2 of his older songs they just *chefs kiss* the drummer Luke Holland is so freaking good
The talent that Ronnie has in his pinky finger.. is more then all the genres he mixed together in this blockbuster short film… ohh and the soundtrack he also sung and performed whilst the blockbuster short film was playing, and he mixed the hardest genres all together just as a sprinkle on top! That god damn shoe throw my guy!😂😂😂
Yeahhhh… Exactly how I felt after hearing this for the first time. Popular monster hits HARD and is the song that got me into Falling In Reverse. The line “Crash my car just to feel again” definitely relates
Every single falling in reverse songs is completely different, they are known for mixing genres of music that no one would ever put together but somehow they make it into a masterpiece. Just wait till you see the reimagined version of the songs they did in 2008 as emo kids. Double react to “I’m not a vampire, and I’m not a vampire revamped” and “the drug in me is you, and the drug in me is reimagined” the switch of the exact same lyrics will blow your mind
Im surprised no one has brougt this up yet, but the girl at the end is his daughter. In the song she symbolizes his peace. She is his happy place. (Imo)
I think you have one of the most genuine reaction to his songs i've seen and seeing some one discovering Ronnie for the first time like you always gets me super hyped. cant wait to see more reactions of Falling in Reverse!
Another song that he references in "Watch the World Burn" is "Voices In My Head". It even starts with the same line at the very beginning. During this one just got to keep your eyes open for Easter eggs. Read the messages at the bottom of the cell phone. Look in the sky behind the sniper as he walks towards the cell phone. Read the license plate on the car. Read the LCD display in the elevator. Another song you have to check out that is just pure incredible metal rock is "Zombified".
I grew up as a metal/Rock head, and allways got from my rap/hip-hop head classmates that how could i listen to these kind of musics, they are not more than screaming. I'm so glad that this reaction thing got viral, cause i see many hip-hop/rap heads start to listen to the meaning of the songs, and understand they are more than just screaming :) Watched many of your videos today, and was so glad when you said how good the drumms sound. Well they are played by real instruments, and they should sound this incredible:) Can be mimiced by programs, but they will never be the same as the OG instrument.
He was depressed because he got in a fight at a pub, the other guys friends jumped in and Ricky's mate stabbed the guy and he died. Ricky was facing a murder charge and took a plea deal and served 2 years in prison. He wrote his first albulm in prison and started the band when he got out.
I came for the Skz reactions but seeing you look at other genres i like is honestly so nice and reminds me why i STAYed. You have such a great appreciation for music of all kinds. I've been into pop punk, emo and such since i was a lot younger and I think there is some of the most meaningful songs that hit you hard. Must admit now I've become part of the kpop world, certain non-kpop songs remind me of it still. This makes me think Mingi, Guerilla and District 9.
This is the song that got me into Falling in Reverse. When I dove into their catalogue I have just fallen more and more in love with this band! I love the way you GET his music. Also, what you said about this kind of music giving you energy- YES! I listen to this kind of stuff first thing in the morning while I'm waking up because it gets me moving quickly. My daughter said to me one morning, "Mom really? This early in the morning?" I said, "yep. because it gets me hyped up and awake." She shook her head at me and put in her earbuds because it was too early for her even though she likes the band too. haha *Jump up, Jump up and get down.* - I get it!
The drummer at the time of this song is Johnny Mele he is awesome he stayed on a little while until he left and Luke Holland took over as current drummer for the band
Great reaction! I love watching people who do not usually listen to metal react to it. I love seeing all your suppressed feelings boil over and come out. Now imagine being in the middle of a few thousand people in front of a live stage all having the same experience, all negative emotions that were repressed and suppressed come out at the same time in a safe and controlled space, then leaving the concert all refreshed and free of it all smiling at random people on the street. For most of us metal is therapy. Keep going, you'll enjoy the ride!
Ronnie is a very interesting person. I hyperfixated on him for abit when I was in high school. In case no one else gave some background on him I'll go into it a bit. Ronnie was originally the primary vocals in a band called Escape the Fate. During this time Ronnie was heavily involved with drugs (as was everyone in the band). Ronnie ended up doing a few years in prison after (allegedly) taking the fall for his best friend and guitarist Max after a violent altercation a number of years back. When Ronnie went to prison it was initially with the understanding that he still had a place in Escape the Fate. However, ETF ended up replacing him with vocalist Craig Mabit (still the vocalist to this day I think) and there was a lot of bad blood between Ronnie and ETF for awhile. Ronnie created Falling In Reverse while he was technically still in prison. Even attempted to track vocals through a phone call, but as you can imagine was not good quality. When he got out he released the album "The Drug in Me is You". That album has some of the MOST SARCASTIC and witty songs I've ever heard. He took a lot of shots at ETF and directly incorporated song titles from albums created with Craig into the album. For example ETF released a song (with an mv) called ten miles wide and Ronnie created lyrics "I dug a hole ten miles wide.. just so I could throw all of you inside". Over time my understanding is that the hatchet has mostly been buried but they aren't exactly friends. Ronnie continues to create music talking about his struggles with recovery from addiction and his mental health struggles with PTSD. He's actually been very open about his childhood trauma. There's a song from when he was in Escape the Fate called "The Day I left the womb" which talks about some of his trauma in growing up in a family in which his brother struggled with addiction, his mother abandoned them, and his father struggled to raise them. He's a really interesting person to study. If I were to describe him as a person he's more of an antihero as a person. He tries to be his definition of a good person but he's done a lot of harmful things to other people in the process. He's known for his blunt attitude and he's very real with people. He won't pretend to be someone else for anyone. As an artist Ronnie has a wide range of skill. He has a voice that carries a lot of his emotions with it. He can sing well and has a good range. He developed his rapping ability and he's a pretty solid harsh vocalist as well. I think he writes pretty much everything for FIR. So if you read all of that you deserve a reward for your patience lol Please go do something nice for yourself :)
@@karenglenn6707 please show me where I said he was a bad person? I just said he’s more like an antihero and I think he would agree with that characterization. Ronnie isn’t trying to be a storybook hero for kids to look up to. He’s trying to be himself and improve himself. He’s not trying to cause harm but his past actions have caused harm to others between his struggle with addiction, the altercation that lead to him going to prison, and he’s also had DV charges historically. I think he does try to be a good person but I don’t think he’s always as successful at it as he would like to be. He’s not trying to be a white knight or a perfect hero. He’s trying to live his life according to his values and goals regardless of how it may conflict with others. Antihero doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy. It suits his personality. Also Ronnie is going to be 40 soon. I would hope he has some level of awareness and insight? I’d be far more worried if he was lacking it at this point.
@@karenglenn6707 so you see I’m not saying he’s a bad person then right? I’m saying he’s trying his best which is all anyone can ever do. I fail to see what you working with the police has anything to do with it but it’s very clear you are a big fan of him. You’re welcome to view him as you wish. I just believe it’s one dimensional and very black or white thinking to think some either is a good person or a bad person with no in between. There’s plenty of shades of grey between black and white and I think that’s where Ronnie would be.
@@karenglenn6707 thank you for explaining that because I was confused and thought you were trying to say police determine whether someone is a good person or not. It is a difference of an opinion. I don’t disagree with that. Lmao why are you telling me to let it go when you started this back and forth? And yes shades of grey? As in black and white thinking is extremely short sighted and there’s a lot in between? Is that concept confusing to you or…?
@@karenglenn6707 you realize your own logic applies to you? You never had to post a comment in response to mine but you did. You started by saying you disagree with the comment I posted which implies an opening to a conversation. You started this by responding to my comment. If you didn’t want feedback then don’t comment under my comment. Just because you don’t like my feedback doesn’t mean I can’t provide it. If you only want someone who immediately agrees with you then perhaps seek an echo chamber instead. I’m open to conversations about a different perspective but you’re not articulating any points. You’re just saying “in my opinion he’s a good person therefore he’s a good person and if you don’t agree he’s a good person because I think he is then you’re wrong”. That’s not a dialogue. Additionally you’re just engaging in logic fallacies (appealing to authority, straw man, anecdotal evidence, appeal to emotion, and now age=intelligence/ false equivalency). You’re also making an assumption on my age when you have absolutely no idea how old I am. It feels patronizing because I’m pointing out the flaws in your arguments. I mean if you actually want me to be patronizing I could but I don’t see how that would be helpful. But I guess if you want I can shred those arguments in more detail and more attitude. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but if you’re leaving then maybe take this as an opportunity to learn something. Toodles!
After many years of listening to Falling In Reverse is that you never know what to expect from them with each song. they are such a great band that gets so much unwarranted hate.
ronnie is absolutely a lyrical genius and the music that falling in reverse creates is totally changing things up they're in a league of their own. i would also suggest by them "good girls, bad guys" and "drugs" i think you would truly appreciate both.
You being a hip-hop head I gotta say I absolutely LOVE how by the end of these metal reactions you're completely embracing the energy of the song!! You're one of my favorites man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
this is the most "popular" song by falling in reverse. recomend listening to zombified, voices in my head, losing my mind, losing my life and drugs. all in that order!!!
Luke Holland is one of the best drummers! Check out his stuff on RUclips, Matt McGuire (drummer for Chainsmokers now), Gabe Helguera (drummer for I Prevail - Drum Beats Online), Tobines, and MakeShiftReality - all of them have some sick drum covers even covering some rap/hip-hop and they sound soooo good on their kits.
Ronnie is a genius! He blows my mind 🤯 with his rapping, singing, and screaming. My favorite songs by him are this song, zombified, voices in my head, and I’m not a vampire (reimagined).
I am so happy you’re liking Ronnie! My wife just recently showed him to me and I had the exact same reaction you did. He has an incredible voice too. I highly recommend “the drug in me is reimagined” Its very different from these last two videos you’ve just reacted to but if you’d like to hear his true singing voice on display, this is where you should explore next. Great channel, great content.
The shoe throw... Come on man, it is the middle of the night here. I can't just burst out in laughter. Awesome video, i discovered Falling in reverse very recently and enjoy their music quite a lot as well.
A breakdown is like the climax of the song, when the song gets heavier, faster, and louder, the breakdown on this song is when he actually turns into the monster.
Love your reaction. FIR is one of my top 2 favorite bands, for a damn good reason. They're absolutely fucking brilliant. When this song came out, I listened to it the first day and sent it to my daughter. One week later, my 4 grandchildren, ages 4,6,8, and 10, could all sing it word for word. They're great. They automatically bleep themselves on the curse words. 😂
Luke Holland is the drummer and he has his own RUclips channel. He's a beast who works with a lot of different people but has been FIR's drummer for a few years now and he's great!! An absolute prodigy!!
I really like your reactions to "Falling in Reverse". It's always exciting to see a hip-hop fan discover this group. And to see how much you love it is amazing. I listen to rap and metal and a lot of people don't realize how much we love music so much. Music is made to bring people together and this group, by mixing genres, does it wonderfully. Hip-hop and metal fans should talk more about their passion and get discovered bands

It's a great journey!
Okay so I randomly just came across your metal reactions, and dude you are awesome! You get everything spot on, you understand this genre without ever really listening to it back here at least. I am going through and watching all your videos to see the growth and knowledge gained, you my man are a class act. Your reactions have feeling and emotion, fucking powerful! And you go back to listen time and time again, respect man, truly.
I went from generally listening to mainly hip hop in 2021 but expanded my interests and listen to a lot a lot of metalcore and rock now and it's definitely a satisfying genre. You should consider listening to some more of this style of music , it'll for sure grow on you. love ur energy btw 😂
Both trace their roots back to blues. They're just typically angrier than what was there in the past. There's very little dividing rap/hip hop and rock/metal.
2:30 - "I can't throw my shoe again, I have neighbors!" 11:50 - *throws shoes and slaps wall with the other shoe for good measure* Loved it, felt it 🤣🤣
Ronathon + Shoes + Your pure unfiltered reactions are such a fantastic combo my friend. Ronnie brought me into metal, and I've fallen in love with everything he's touched ever since... Looks like he did the same to you! 😂
This was brilliant Tedster. Also you can react to Im not a vampire + I am not a vampire (revamped) in one video it is a cool concept. Also the drug in me is you + the drug in me is reimagined, has the same concept. Good luck going forward in the metal world🤝
Always a treat to see your reactions to NF and Falling In Reverse, it's great to see a reactor really enjoying the music and adding insight, keep it up! Also, just to provide a brief synopsis of what a breakdown is, it's kind of hard to describe, there are many formulas for breakdowns, but you'll almost always know one when you hear it. You can kind of equate it to a bridge or a beat drop. But not all modern metal songs follow a predictable structure (most FIR songs don't), so there are often multiple breakdowns in a song. So this one, for example, had a breakdown, hyped back up, then heavier breakdown 2.0.
Hands down, no lie, you 100% have just become my FAVORITE reactionist. The shoe throw, the "RONATHON", the dysection of lyrical intent.
I lost it at "RONATHAN!"

The smile that crosses your face when he says, “At least now I know what to expect..”😁
I’ve found you by your FIR reactions… and you are by far my favorite. The way you articulate what you feel when you listen is how I feel but can’t articulate lol so thank you. 🫶🏽
7:57 *Points wordlessly* "NNNNNMMMM" *nods at the camera like "right??"*
Same brother, same lol
This band takes my words away as well
I loved your reaction to this.
0:58 You NEVER know what to expect from Ronnie! 😏😁🤣🤷♀️ As Rykerroad says..."We get it Ronnie, you can MUSIC"! 🤣🤣🤣✌️❤️🔥🎶💯 LOVE your reactions! 🤗
Pure emotional moment every time ;)
And I was f**king waiting about the shoes to smash the wall !
Look up Luke Holland (Ronnie's/FIRs current drummer) he plays all genres and is fantastic!! Ronnie calls him "the best of the best".
Now you need to hear "voices in my head " 🔥
@@LetItBe007 Falling In Reverse's first album was basically a continuation of that original Escape The Fate album.
I'd like to suggest "Voices in my head" and "Zombified"🔥🔥🔥
Agreed both are so good plus drugs
Probably the most addicting artists out there, the roller coaster of emotions vocally, musically and visually is one of a kind.
YESSSS!!!! GET INTO THE TRILOGY!!!! " Losing my life, Losing my Mind and DRUGS!" Always enjoy you bruv
Yeahhhh… Exactly how I felt after hearing this for the first time. Popular monster hits HARD and is the song that got me into Falling In Reverse. The line “Crash my car just to feel again” definitely relates
You’re my new Fav reactor Teddy. Love your energy, your insight, kindness and love fir music. Keep it up bro.
Ronnie is the master of making you feel all the feels just in one song. I can't imagine what this song must be like live. I bet people just go nuts!!!
This song and voices in my head is my jammmm
The way this dude gets into it. 😂 you can tell it's legit 😂
This early in the morning?" I said, "yep. because it gets me hyped up and awake." She shook her head at me and put in her earbuds because it was too early for her even though she likes the band too. haha
*Jump up, Jump up and get down.* - I get it!
He pretty much made his whole genre of music by combining so many different elements
Man i actually love this reactor! Has great knowledge about how music works and has a genuine reaction.
The drummer at the time of this song is Johnny Mele he is awesome he stayed on a little while until he left and Luke Holland took over as current drummer for the band
You are my favorite falling in reverse reactionist! PERIOD! welcome to the family bro
Toodles!
This song has been my anthem for the past year❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
After many years of listening to Falling In Reverse is that you never know what to expect from them with each song. they are such a great band that gets so much unwarranted hate.
Literally just started watching the reaction and already love it lol Gotta give rock music a chance, the lyrics and meaning are awesome.
That part where tempo slows down and its really heavy its called breakdown
ronnie is absolutely a lyrical genius and the music that falling in reverse creates is totally changing things up they're in a league of their own. i would also suggest by them "good girls, bad guys" and "drugs" i think you would truly appreciate both.
You being a hip-hop head I gotta say I absolutely LOVE how by the end of these metal reactions you're completely embracing the energy of the song!! You're one of my favorites man! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
“The drums are spectacular!”
“Thank you” Luke Holland.
That’s a rabbit hole you’ll love to go down
I recently discovered this band also, I’m kind of obsessed with Ronnie now. His reimagined songs are on every playlist I have.
this is the most "popular" song by falling in reverse. recomend listening to zombified, voices in my head, losing my mind, losing my life and drugs. all in that order!!!
“I’m not a vampire” is a bit different but it’s also so good, one of my favorites. Zombified and voices in my head are also really solid
You need to do the trilogy 😍 loosing my mind, loosing my life and drugs
Luke Holland is one of the best drummers! Check out his stuff on RUclips, Matt McGuire (drummer for Chainsmokers now), Gabe Helguera (drummer for I Prevail - Drum Beats Online), Tobines, and MakeShiftReality - all of them have some sick drum covers even covering some rap/hip-hop and they sound soooo good on their kits.
If you like his falsetto The drug in me is you reimagined and Im not a Vampire revamped show that off more as well and are of course amazing songs
I love hearing and watching people fall in love with this music. You make my little dark heart happy 🖤
8:23 It's called a pre-chorus, after you hear that term it'll be perfectly clear as to why!
Might be the best reaction channel I’ve seen. Subscribed. You earned it
The reason I love metal so much is it can meld with and be inspired by literally every other genere
A breakdown is like the climax of the song, when the song gets heavier, faster, and louder, the breakdown on this song is when he actually turns into the monster.
I love that it immediately brings you to shoe throwing and neighbor violence 🤣🤣🤣 cause same.
I'm so glad you found out about Ronnie, this song especially is one of my favorite EVER
I see them Friday night, can’t wait to hear this live!
Luke Holland is the drummer and he has his own RUclips channel. He's a beast who works with a lot of different people but has been FIR's drummer for a few years now and he's great!! An absolute prodigy!!
I love it when the reactions are genuine and real. Yours are❤
I really like your reactions to "Falling in Reverse".
Lol i love that you are getting hyped with Ronnie!! 🥰🥰🥰
To understand this better watch these IN ORDER:
Popular Monster
Losing My Mind
Losing My Life
Drugs
The Drug In Me Is You
The Drug in Me is You (Reimagined)
I'm Not a Vampire
I'm Not a Vampire (Revamped)
Zombified
Voices In My Head
Watch The World Burn
Ronnie Radke is the lead singer
Willow is Ronnie's daughter she's in two of these music videos
Remember the year 2033
Ronnie Radke's actually incorporating his story, so much like many of our own, into every detail. Every word and every detail in the video means something. He has been to the bottom and back a few times. Have fun going down the Ronnie Radke AKA the Falling In Reverse rabbit hole! It's a great journey!
As for the "Rick Ross" sound, that's just a sound you'll find in metal that us metal heads love. Just adds to the aggression.
I like it! HipHop and rap are two of my only reference points in life sorryyy 😭😂
Man you are brilliant at breaking down these songs, you describe the meanings like i couldnt with words myself. You Sir are a very smart man.
You were right the first time. That was a bridge and the breakdown comes later when he's transforming into a werewolf.
This is my favorite song by them. I love FIR. Ronnie is a musical genius. You gotta check out more.
Your wicked fun to watch. I really appreciate the honest enthusiasm.
Listening to you identify the pre-chorus as a breakdown while knowing what was coming made me laugh out loud with glee. Thank you!
2:30 - "I can't throw my shoe again, I have neighbors!"
11:50 - *throws shoes and slaps wall with the other shoe for good measure*
Loved it, felt it 🤣🤣
Ronathon + Shoes + Your pure unfiltered reactions are such a fantastic combo my friend.
Good luck going forward in the metal world🤝
I never expected him to be here, but here we are. And I'm loving it. SKZ, Ateeze, FIR, and NF all in one channel. :)
If this is the beginning of your spiral into metal music, I am so glad I am here early for it!
