Who wouldve thought that they would have a love that lasted as long as the show. I did like Nancy St Alban but Joy Lenz and Paul Anthony Stewart had unbelievable chemistry. I loved him the minute he came on screen and I even loved him more when he would pour his heart and soul to Michelle
man I need to go smoke after this one and I quit smoking 4 years ago!! This was such wonderful soap writing and I miss writing like this now!! Paul and Bethany had smokin chemistry!!
I remember this vividly when it first aired. Manny blew the walls off in a more adult, subtle way than Tammy Jonathan. That speech is almost every female fantasy come true. Lovely as always.
Oh Damn!!!!! The man had me at HELLO!!!! I mean it he had me at hello, he just brought back sensual, sexiness with pure romantic gestures. He was sexy and romantinc in the most old fashion way which is something you do see or hear about everyday.
This is the first time they are playing Danny and Michelle's theme music in the background. It makes the tone of the scene so different from the suspenseful music they played in past scenes.
This is such a great speech. I think everybody wanted Danny to win her after this, but my favorite part is the way Michelle looks at Danny after he says she may be surprised after the sacrament because the look says more than anything that surprised is exactly what she might be.
Oh God, that speech gets me every time! SO HOT and great acting, especially from Paul. Now in Iceland, Michelle can't keep his hands off him! How things have changed ♥
Yes, but Danny also knows how to play on Michelle and her "Feelings". He gives her this "Speech" and although she's blown away he's reeling her in like a Fisherman reels in like a Fish. I also would have said to Danny "Well you don't see me asking you about your Ex Girlfriends now do you, I did have a life before you came along, I don't apologize for that."
Wow! Effortless. The magic of these two onscreen was just as intense yet more romantic than Jonathan/ Tammy. I remember watching this speech during first run. It was just that memorable.
In this scene, you saw just how insecure Danny was pertaining to Jesse. He knew that Michelle still "Loved" Jesse and he probably felt that Michelle would never see the same way about him.
If I were Michelle I would have said to him "I know that you saved my life, you keep reminding me over and over again and it's getting to be a bit much, you sacrificed a lot, but look at me, I dropped out of School, I can't go back ever probably, a couple of Months ago I was in Chemistry Class and now I'm a Wife, I lost my Friends, and in some ways my Freedom and still it's hard for me, and stop playing on your insecurities and making me feel guilty."
I really disliked Danny at this time. She couldn't even make a call without him "demanding" to know who it is. If he was so desperate, he should have just dialed *69 if that exists in Soap Land. I realized that in his line of work he can't trust anybody but he has to realize that in Michelle's World the word "trust" is not a bad or dirty word at all.
Is there anyone here in 2020 still watching this?
Omg❤
Maddy Melnik I’m here!!
Alli Smith me too
Yessss
2021

This is the speech that made me fall in love with Danny and Manny even more than I already was!

Still watching in 2021
There's a LOT to be said for sexual tension as opposed to people jumping into bed on their first meeting. This is HOT.
I have watched this scene so many times...Danny's passion is sooo intense and you can see that Michelle wants him...
Wow, Danny. That was amazing. I love this speech.

Thank you for this. I bought these vhs tapes back in 2000...but they're warped now from storage. I love Manny so much.

Its rediculous to think this man has to CONVINCE her (or anyone, for that matter) to screw him. really....
lol!!!

She was
Yes.. I never knew she was on this show but when I found out I watched all of their scenes. I freaking love them!!
True but I always knew we couldn't keep her. She was an ambitious actress!

i like this too
gees Louise!
u and me too.
What did she whisper at the end?
"Oh my God! What am I gonna do now?"
I hope that Olivia Spencer can say the same type of speech to Natalia Rivera now on the show. They love each other so much, it hurts.

Am I the only one who thinks Danny is almost coming off creeper here?

You're the only one.On the planet.
