    Canelo is a natural 160 pounder. He is small for 168 but his skill, IQ and experience make him beat bigger fighters. So that way he doesn't have to drain himselfs like most boxers do to fight in smaller divisions. Canelo stops crawford if they fight

    • @HawkTalksBoxing
      @HawkTalksBoxing  2 месяца назад

      i agree he does stop crawford, but also, he could make 160 but i think he as of right now in his career is staying at 168 because he feels his best at that weight at his age now, i don't think he's small for 168, he's a good size at 168, fought couple times at 175 and was even considering going up to cruiser at one point to fight makabu, he's not as big as david benavidez or jamie munguia, but he's fairly big at 168 with his natural frame

    Arguably, but we could see Crawford demolish Canelo bad.
    The thing that makes most boxing fans utter clueless casuals when it comes to Canelo is they think he's a great powerful fighter with an amazing chin... He ain't.
    Canelo is a great defensive fighter who always makes sense to never get hurt, but that's about it. His chin is nothing special (Miguel Cotto's brother can attest to that when he had Canelo out on his feet) and his offense is low level, so low in fact he will actively punch his opponents on their arms and shoulders to weaken them.... You're supposed to use your arms and shoulders for defense to begin with.
    Basically if you're legit it's a tough ask for Canelo to just "dominate you", as we saw in the Bivol fight as overrated as Bivol is. Crawford for his part is as tall as Canelo but has a nearly 4 inches longer reach. And unlike the other "champions" that Canelo beat, Crawford is as legit as they come. And honestly Canelo never beat anybody at Crawford's level when it comes skill wise, especially considering Crawford is elite both at orthodox and at southpaw.

      people aren't talking about how bud will look going into the late rounds, putting all that weight on for a fight will surely effect his stamina, 21 pounds, that's 3 weight classes, he's 35 and fights at 147, and jumping to 168, not even gradually moving up to that weight just jumping all up in that weight just for the canelo fight

    • @MartialArtsNk
      @MartialArtsNk 2 месяца назад +2

      @@HawkTalksBoxing He wouldn't actually put on 21 pounds at all.
      To begin with he cuts to make 147, he would simply have to come in smaller at 168, which is an advantage.
      If he's going to "box" Canelo's head off, why would he need that extra weight? People today underestimate the advantage of being "smaller" than your opponent.
      That's the whole reason all them casuals made Fury an actual favorite vs Usyk.

      Age? Think of it this way, Crawford is the Tom Brady of Boxing. He is that good and is NOT going to age overnight like so many of his haters are hoping for. Dominate Crawford? I highly doubt that. If this fight comes to fruition, a tough fight for both fighters. The biggest mistake Alvarez could make is to fight Bud with that mindset. Canelo certainly did not "dominate" Mayweather and has always struggled with slick fighters. One thing to be clear on is Canelo getting "schooled" by May had nothing to do with a catch weight. Timing, distance, and neutralizing Canelo's power shots was key.
    Crawford, right now, is acclimating to the higher weight classes with his debut at 154lbs in August. If Bud effectively dominates that division, then he is one step closer to Canelo. Bud is a different sort of animal and don't think of "power" as "hitting harder" than your opponent. Think more about timing, controlling distance, and accuracy. Bud is a MASTER at this.
    On a side note, I do find it interesting that Bud can deadlift over 400lbs. So, maybe some of those strength attributes may come into play against a "heavier" "not Bigger" fighter??? IDK. We'll see what happens.

      I think people take titles too seriously, if you look at my other boxing videos I always title videos with this style, you shouldn't take that much from a title but rather what I actually said in the video, crawford is more than qualified to compete with canelo, it wouldn't be like he doesn't belong in the ring with him, I'm just seclusively talking about the weight, I hate it when people cherry pick one tiny thing I said and ignore all my other talking points

    I think Bud's power will carry to 168, but will it affect Canelo? Bud fanboys might think it will, but remember that not even GGG-- the most devastating puncher could not put a dent on Saul. Bud will not be able to hurt Canelo and Saul will start walking Bud down. I see a KO by Saul, because Bud's pride gets hurt when they hurt him and goes after his opponent to get payback, and that's what will get him KO'ed. If Bud decides to get on his bicycle, he will loose like Jermell-- with his shield broken.

    Also the size is OVERRATED, just like Usyk vs Fury was. There isn't some big size advantage for Canelo here.
    Yes Canelo is bigger than Crawford, more dense for sure. But it isn't that big, Canelo is a middleweight. He fought up at super middleweight vs visibly bigger guys because that's one of the fake bum divisions with wimps as champions (a super or junior division so to say). And in terms of dimensions as mentioned Crawford is bigger than Canelo, has longer arms and knows how to use that reach.
