One of the most amazing, mesmerizing, mystical, deep voices of the 20th century! Hartman has no equal and never will! I am happy that I learned about him 30 years ago and he is present in my life every day with his unique voice, sensitivity, and charm!

A Man of total sensuality who gave everything when he sang and I grew up listening to Johnny Hartman and I have to honestly say captured me as a young girl and I still get chills listening to his beautiful voice!! I loved that Clint Eastwood used you in his movies and he admired you as I did! It was a blessing how you really gave us a lot during your musical career! I PrayPray your singing in the skies dear man!

You're welcome. I came across this when researching his book. I like the brief shot of Dinah Shore in the audience.

Johnny Hartman was indeed a great singer...but of course in America....at the time two black artists...male singers...were never going to be accepted....and there was Nat "King"...Cole already....
