Sarbhaja Sarpuriya | সরভাজা সরপুরিয়া | Krishnanagar | Nadia

Krishna Nagar (Nadia, West Bengal, India) is the birth place of Shor Bhaja. It is purely made of cream of the milk. Sometimes khoya and chenna are also mixed with it. It follows one of the most difficult and tedious processes of making sweets. It needs extreme patience and expert skills.
There is a similar kind of sweet named Shorpuria or sarpuria. The only difference is that for sarpuriya the cakes made of milk cream(shor) are baked instead of deep frying.

The sàŕpuriya and sarbhaja shop shown in u tube is not the original . One old shop and dilapidated straw house is the original . In that shop they cannot preserve the sweets that I have seen.

Good effort. However, the old shop is just next to this shop which belonged to Late Adhar Chandra Das, named as only 'Adhar Chandra Das'. But the employees of this shop aren't professional, behavior is rough. Staffs of 'Adhar Chandra Das & CO' are well mannered and approachable. You've choosen the right shop.
