I genuinely thought I was the only person weird enough to film myself "nailing" My Shot. This has opened my eyes...
So when someone asks me what kind of music I like, I answer with:
Oh! I like founding fathers, kids with social anxiety, Carole King, songs about this book called Book of Mormon, ghosts that haunt opera houses, lions, witches and wizards of oz, and baking.
This video was so relatable! Especially the song lyric one. If someone says something similar to a theatre song lyric, I can’t help but perform the whole show for that person.

My hardest struggle, trying to tell myself that when someone says "musicals don't have real music" that they are just young/jealous/inexperianced and that I shouldn't yell at them for 7 hours straight.

I live abroad and I asked a Broadway actress how to improve in theater while living abroad... she told me to watch Bootlegs.
I always throw musical references in conversation but nobody understands ;(
My biggest struggle...
Friend : if you like hamilton so much, why don’t you just buy tickets and go see them?!
Me : yeah like I can afford tickets to hamilton
Friend : I’ll buy them for you
Me : they’re over £100
Friend : oh right well I guess you’ll be fine listening to the soundtrack right?....
Me : .... :(
It’s 11pm in London (where I am) and I realise my phone goes off with a notification. Guess I’m watching this.
Edit: This was really good. I really only got the Hamilton references but ya know, there has to be an ‘And Peggy’.

So relatable for Hallowe'en me and my friends decided to do a group costume and I suggested we be punk ladies from grease but they thought I wanted to go as an apple lol
And just when I thought your channel couldn’t get more relatable. Literally everything on this list is something I do!
Also another struggle I’ve found is having a keychain or wearing a shirt from a show, and no one understands it even after you explain the reference!

This is so relatable! I never know what to say when people ask me what kind of music I listen to!
Also, funny story: I was actually dressed up as a character from a musical for Halloween, but none of my friends knew about it, so I was all like, "erm...I'm a random woman from the 19th century..."
Well, not too far from the truth.

Whenever people ask me what kind of music I listen to, I'm all like "uh...a variety of things..."
I can also relate to the recording myself singing one. One time, I recorded myself singing Satisfied from Hamilton, but I was sick at the time, so when I listened to the recording, I sounded like I was both crying and dying.
The favorite song explanation is me talking to all of my friends this video is so relatable😂😂
I know I already commented on this, but I have another musical theatre fan struggle.
Struggle: when you have no access to a musical, so you watch the movie adaptation on Netflix, then other theatre nerds judge you massively for it.
Or when you like the movie version and all the theatre nerds judge you for liking the wrong version/actor. *cough* Phantom *cough* Sorry, I just had a slight issue speaking for a moment. I'm talking about the 2004 Phantom movie here. ;)

The Caitie Diaries If you are doing a part three: I also have this struggle that I am sometimes performing my favourite scenes from musicals and I'm 'playing' all roles ,like the final lair from phantom or one day more from les mis :')

Oh my goodness I totally agree with everything on here! Another one is that on a do what you want day in school a girl was playing rap (idk what rap 😂) and I was like “in one of my favourite musicals there is rap wanna hear?” And then she said the dreaded “it’s a musical not proper rap, musicals are like classical and it’s probably old people rap” and then she wouldn’t let me play it so I then went to my friends I knew understood my obsession 😂

This is SO ME! You don't even know how many times I've decided that it was a smart idea to record myself 'hitting' every note from defying gravity, then watched it the next day and realized that I did not, in fact, hit those notes. :P

Oh my heck I thought I was the only one on these 😂😂 I relate so much. Having just gotten back from NYC as well and seeing Anastasia, part of me is like “ok well technically I already bought a ticket and I can’t go /back/ to New York to see it so it’s ok if I watch the bootleg because I’ve already paid for it and also Derek Klena /is/ the most attractive man in the world so really I’m doing myself and them a favor...” I haven’t made up my mind on that debate yet 😂

I can relate! I listen to Hamilton on the bus, amd my friends will always go "if you like this Hamilton thing so much why don't you just go watch it?" So I pulled out my wallet, opened it, and showed them that it was empty.
Omg one time I was listening to a song and singing along and I thought I sounded pretty good and then I filmed myself and I sounded like I was mumbling the whole time

Not sure if you already used this, but here’s one of my struggles: When you love so many musicals and want to see all of them, except you can’t afford it😂
Don’t know if anyone else did this but when I saw my mom watching Gilmore girls on Netflix (the new one) and the stars hollow musical thing was playing, I automatically recognized the two people in the play as two actually famous actors (Christian Borle and Sutton Foster) from plays I liked. Of course no one knew what I was talking about, but what did I expect?
The bootleg part was the most relatable thing ever 😅
And like... The obc aren't even on stage anymore! So I'll never have the chance to watch it. And... I mean... It's not like *I* recorded it or anything. It's on the internet how illegal could it be?

Yea...the only reason I like my teacher is because we're both obsessed with Hamilton but I'm jealous of her cuz she can go as she's an adult and my parents won't let me which makes me sad...
I work at the Auspost call centre and just last week, REALLY had to control myself when a call came through from someone saying they'd sent a letter to Hamilton, here in Brisbane. And that it had been damaged. And I'm thinking, did it 'bbbuUUUURRNNN'? And the person on the phone I was speaking to was named Angelica. I am dead serious!

Once I was bored and ordered Gmorning Gnight and Dear Evan Hansen: The Novel (which, not to brag, I read like 300 pages as soon as I got it) off Amazon. I had to bring the DEH novel into school for it to count as a book I read, though.
Well anyway, I get into class and I’m talking to my teacher about how it wasn’t normal for me to read so many pages over the weekend, and a girl (whom I see as way more popular than me) in my class walks in. She overhears and says “Wow, you got another book, huh-” and then she gasped and yells, “YOU’RE READING DEAR EVAN HANSEN?!”
It was really awkward and I said yeah, and then we just kinda didn’t talk about it again...?
But yesterday the same girl was in art class and she was singing “Look around look around at how lucky we are to be alive right noWww they are asking me to leave-”
And i just said “LOOK AROUND ISN’T THIS ENOUGH” and we sang like a couple lines until we just kinda stopped.
It was fun lol
