I am a taxi driver who did grabfood delivery during lockdown. To be honest, all the perks that is discussed here is pretty far fetched. I have to admit that I have merely scrolled through this video to see the main points. The dude mentioned he can earned over $200 from 27 jobs which includes incentives and stuff in the span of about 12hours as a rider. It's kinda believable considering a rider doesn't have any overhead to cover. But, 12 hours? That's like slightly only over 2 jobs an hour. I am not sure what kind of distances cyclists cover per job. As a driver doing grabfood back then, there isn't any incentive, we have to pay for our own parking even at shopping malls which is expensive. The lowest payout per job is about $9 but that is considering drivers normally have to cover plus minus 10km to pick up and deliver. Add in the waiting time, time to find parking, time to negotiate the blocks and find the units (yes for the uninitiated, this is a problem everyone will encounter). Not to mention there will be customers who somehow refuse to answer their phones when u are trying to verify something with them. Sometimes, u get multiple stack on orders in nearby spots, meaning u can pick up to 3-4 orders before sending to the same amount of locations. Can one imagine the amount of time it takes? It's more than an hour and a stack on job like that mostly pays out a pathetic figure of less than $20, not to mention when you are stuck in a ulu area, you are probably so far up north or west or East you'll give up going back to the central with an empty car because once you try to leave, an order will come up directing you back into those regions again. You can forget about grab giving you a cross island job that pays out good because that open happens once in a blue moon. Furthermore, the stack jobs do not follow the order of who orders first will get their food first. This is because grab will make you deliver to the drop off point that is nearest to the last pick up point. Is this logical? In a sense yes but to the customers? Can u imagine if you order first and then have to wait more than an hour to get your food last? One can argue grab is making a logical choice by asking drivers to go to the nearest point first but hei, who minds going back n fro if grab pays you more to do it? Furthermore, this often results in customers rating unfairly against us. My driver rating fell from 4.87 to 4.7 during the period I did grabfood. Can anyone imagine how it happened? Obviously grab doesn't think for their delivery partners and only listen to the people paying not, not to the people it pays out to. After I gave up on grabfood, my rating rose back to a perfect 5 by just ferrying passengers. I welcome anybody with questions about this worthless job to reply to me. Those who drove at least a year for grab should know they have done nothing to reward drivers in the long run. So relatively speaking, I don't know how long this dude has been doing delivery, whether he can sustain 12 hour days in the long runs through till the time when the incentives will get lousier n lousier
2 jobs an hour is about there, maybe can do more if you are familiar with the area and know the shortcuts and if demand high enough very little downtime between jobs.
fact of the matter is, its a job with low barrier of entry. You dont need much specialized skills to bring a pack of food to another place. If you feel like you deserve to get paid more, then you have to upgrade yourself. The money isnt great, but I still do part time grab for a workout and its very flexible. As for using a car to do food delivery? Thats really inefficient imo. Id argue its slower than a bicycle over a sub 4km range if you take into account parking etc.

一般看人不顺眼的人我都是不怎么理会的啦...只不过唯一麻烦的是，这类型的人为了证明自己的观点是对的，都会说服周围的人来一起讨厌他们自己看不顺眼的人。就算他们的不喜欢是主观性的，他们也会把自己的主观，当成是客观的。应付这种人，我一般都会先吐三成的血。然后再以EQ来化解他们的个人偏见。做人真麻烦😂😂
