I wish I had focused on being debt free in college. All I knew I wanted to do was move from Houston. I didn’t really understand paying for school and picking a career. So glad to see you and the younger generations being more knowledgeable about finances.

Girl I’m a senior in high school right now debating if I want to go to college a full 4 years or do two in community college. And every video i’ve been about college is people who are going the full four years. And they all have been dreaming on going to this school their whole life, always known exactly what they want to do, don’t seem to worry about money. I couldn’t relate any to them, but your video is very relatable and real ! Random rant but yeah.
I completely feel you! College was never THE destination for me…. It’s just a stepping stone to meeting my future goals. That’s why I’m tryna stay outta debt by any means necessary. I’m currently editing a debt free degree/community college update it’ll be up tomorrow.
there’s also nothing stopping you from doing 2 years at community college and then transferring your credits to a 4 year university! you’ll save money and still get the same degree
@@abbycontant Yes! I’m so glad my friends/guidance counselor told me about these things because I really want to get a degree in business administration & nursing, but I really didn’t want to go to a four year because I don’t want to be in debt most of my adulthood. Half of my teachers told me some of their wives or husbands were still paying off their college debt now.

Yes, when i was in community college I would go to SEVERAL different counselors. They sometimes have conflicting information. so I kind of figured out the truth somewhere inbetween.

If you can get the apartment and still remain debt free do that! A shorter commute, shorter days and your own space is worth the peace of mind school is stressful enough
