I was reading about a lady who came to Rishikesh in 90s, a Stanford grad with PhD in Psychology and stayed for ever in one of the Ashram's called Parmartha Niketana .May be you saw her during evening Arti at Ganga .Her name now is Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati and she has written a wonderful book called "Hollywood to the Himalayas".

So amazing and inspiring, thank you for sharing your journey. Currently in my forth year at uni and really considering finishing early. I don't know what I want to do with my degree but yoga is something that has always just made sense to me. Time will tell :)

Hi!! Thanks for sharing your experience and your feelings. I identify myself with what are you sharing and I'm going to Rishikesh next month to do the YTT and I'm excited, anxious and at the same time with insecure, asking myself you I'll be capable to be a yoga teacher...a mixed feelings.But looking the videos I'm felling more comfortable and more excited. Which month did you go? Not too many people in the class, that's nice. is it because of monsoon?
I went in July, not sure why our course was so small as I have seen on IG they have so much more people usually! It was super hot in July so I guess that might make people choose other times. But I loved our small group as we got more personal attention from the teachers.

Heyy, that's so exciting! Yep, I always have travel insurance when I travel. I am from Finland so I just got a Finnish travel insurance from the company I was already a customer of. Definitely just look into the deals you have in your country:)

My 200h course was just under a month so I applied for the 1 month e-visa :)

At 16:14 😂 , they were performing yagya for take blessings from god for your better future. We hindu do Yagya for various reasons. Hope you learn something 😊

When you have gastritis like Delhi Belly, you should immediately get medications at the pharmacy. It will rid it in 1 day. Please don't wait next time.

Getting friendly with street dog is super okay. But never fed them with your own hand. Just put food on the ground they will eat that. These street dogs are not vaccinated. Their saliva is not good for human.
