I think Kevin is one of those few fiddlers, whose playing alone, unaccompanied, really makes you want to dance. He's just irresistable. Actually, sometimes I like it much better when there are fewer players than you would find in a pub session. Just give me a fiddler like Kevin, a good bodhran player, and perhaps a whistle or flute player, and that would be more than enough for me!
Martina Chione King not really, people mix up the names of a tune, come up with a name based on who they heard it from or a for some other reason, doesn't make that the right name, its the curse of Irish music

Fantastic as always. Everything is so clear when Kevin Burke plays it, the interpretation is right on and the playing superb. Thank you for this.
Wow, this is just awesome!
I love that "built-in" rhythm! :)
During the reels, it sounds like there are two fiddles playing at certain points. Incredible.
One of the greats. Love his playing ----so smooth ♪♫ ♥
Wow my new favorite polkas, Thanks for posting this, wish I could go to Swananoa this year. Kevin is the best!"Tolka Polka" what a great name too.
what an incredible control!
Kevin Burke is on the staff list for this year's (2009) Swannanoa Gathering during Celtic Week.
Sounds great! I'd love to hear it mastered/with a better recording device. Maybe I'll download some and see if he's worth buying!
The reels set is Cottage Groves, Ed Reavey's Maudabawn Chapel and The Beare Island. He's one of the greats. No doubt.
One of the masters! Thanks for posting.
I love that characteristic upward finger slide of his, especially the double-stopped one at around 5:21!
love this music
Second reel is Maudabawn Chapel
@MrHathouse The last reel is Beare Island by Finbar Dwyer. I don't think its on the The Lonesome Touch album but I could be wrong.
Yes, Sean Ryan, PJ Hayes, Martin Hayes, Paddy Canny, Michael Coleman, to name a few more.
First reel is the College Groves.
Does anyone know the names of the tunes in this set?
My name is Kevin Burke:)
After nine years: Hello Kevin!
For the people who are giving different names to the first reel, those names could all work. Many reals have several names.

First reel is The Wheels of the world.
