      Hi Jane, I really appreciate you putting these tutorials online. I tried finding the corresponding sheet music on imslp but there are many different versions available. Could you perhaps direct us to the right score? Thank you

      @@robinvanvelzen6054 A new comment re the score brought me here. Did you find it? It is under the arrangements and transcription tab: For Piano (Composer)
      Publisher Info. Paris: J. Hamelle, 1898. Plate J. 4318 H.

    Is the fingering in this video "correct" per say?

    • @preupped6201
      @preupped6201 9 лет назад

      Jane Did not really give me an answer.. i am self learned, and i think my fingering is pretty much random, and not necessarily effective. So i was wondering if copying your fingering on this piece would be a good way to learn this piece? or is the fingering in this video random as well? thanks for fast answer by the way. and sorry for messy reply.

    • @janepianotutorials

      In that case, use my fingering, but adjust it if uncomfortable. Hand structures differ, that is why different editors come up with different fingering. But it is by design and not at all "random" :)

    Chuck attempts to play this in Better call Saul

      Googled Better Call Saul. Sounds like fun, especially if the lead character (?) plays piano. I’m too cheap and busy for Netflix. Will have wait until I retire from retirement.

      Yes, 6/8

      Jane how long would you hold a dotted eighth or quarter note in 6/8 time? is it 3 beats cause I heard 6/8 time is x2 beats. Thank you!

      Did not understand your question. Take a look at my sight-reading lesson on counting?

  • @HeyItsKora
    @HeyItsKora 2 года назад

    Why is there a metronome..? You are INCREDIBLY out of time, it’s like you aren’t even listening to the metronome
    Like at 00:45 you’re playing completely randomly relative to the metronome, way way slower than than the BPM

      It just keeps me for being completely out of control 🤣. Sorry it annoyed you so much. My tutorials are not meant to annoy. These are requested, used mainly for note checking. That’s why they are slow and loud. They are sightread without prep, hesitations are unavoidable. Did everyone hate it? (I’m not at the video)
