Thank you Brylan, I've been using my Facebook platform to warn people and one of the big major ones that's really sticking in my craw right now is The Angel Studios productions that they're making money hand over fist and it's not even having anything to do with an Angel nor Christianity. I get upset when I see things that are totally non-biblical but they're trying to say Oh it comes from the Bible. It's unbelievable Christianity is always been under attack but it's really gotten worse.
Brylan, as a Worship leader this has been one of my biggest convictions. I reach out to many of these main stream Christian artists and I'm usually called legalistic or judgemental. It feels like the whole industry is compromised. I urge Local Churches to write and look for their own Worship songs . We shouldn't have to depend on people that aren't truly living for God to write the songs we sing. Thanks for covering this❤🙏

The other is you can tell what kind of person someone is by what "consistently" comes out of their mouth, so if it's constant filthy garbage, you can surmise that is what is inside of this person's heart. Context is king!

I'm not judging individual artists in this.. Each believer must make up their own mind. Hopefully, when listening to music, our desire will be, first of all, to God and His will for us. Personal preference should not come first.

I used to be a “white Wiccan witch” before genuinely accepting Christ and growing in the faith. The ritual is considered to be a “white” spell meaning you are looking and accepting you need to come closer to “the light”. But, all it truly does is get you deeper into rituals because you MUST get closer to the “light of life”. It is all wrapped up in saving your life, but you don’t rely on anything except yourself. Then, if the ritual doesn’t work, you get encouraged to join a coven. It looks very innocent, but it changes little by little until you are reeled in and become afraid you are a bad person and a bad witch because nothing is happening exactly as you expected. I thank God my husband didn’t give up on me. We both became genuine Christians and joined church together.

If one is a true follower of Jesus Christ, they are led by the Holy Spirit and seek Him above ALL else. Followers of Jesus who need entertainment more than fellowship with the Lord makes me question if they have indeed been born again. Jesus satisfies!!! We who follow Jesus are to “come out from among them.” Many profess they’re “Christian”. Jesus said a tree shall be known by its fruit. We are to evaluate and discern and test the spirits.
God’s true children cannot be taken from Him. Many will profess they’re “Christian” but just have another man-made religion. Be a follower of Jesus and obey the Father.
Demons believe in Jesus but do not follow Him! Many “believe” in Jesus as a “good man/teacher/prophet” but do not believe He is God incarnate and died on the cross and was raised by God from the dead. Jesus said one must be born again to enter into Heaven. The Holy Spirit seals true followers of Jesus and their names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

When COV*D happened, so much was revealed about the world, including fake Christianity. At times it is overwhelming and depressing, but more and more it is exciting to see people who are being pulled out of the false religions promoted by the world. Keep shedding light on it. We just stay faithful as true believers. If anyone teaches anything different than Scripture is the inerrant, inspired, authoritative Word of God, they are NOT a Christian. Most of the people in the visible church are NOT followers of Christ. Stay faithful. Many are going to hell, few to Heaven.....the tares are gonna grow with the wheat until the harvest. We just wait until He returns and sets all things right.

I’m disappointed in For King and Country. Sad! I’m married to a non-believer. He believes in God, but after marrying him, it became apparent that he’s not saved. For anyone reading this and contemplating marriage with a non-believer, please realize that it will only complicate your life and loyalties. Marriage is sacred and I know all I can do is pray 🙏 and try to be the best Christian wife I can be. My prayer is for God to open his heart and mind for him to be saved. So... this goes right along with my own testimony. God seriously saved me from myself and from the world. When I was 15, I was introduced to a couple of singers that were kind of big back in the 70's and 80's. This all happened through the church I was going to, and grew up in. I was a singing "prodigy", of sorts. I was 9 when I started in the choir and was a 1st soprano, which at that time was apparently unheard of, or so I was told. I was trained by a few people over my young life and was in music competitions (won all of them) and went on to be asked by one of the singers I was introduced to when I was 15, if I would help with harmonies on his album. So, after getting permission from my folks, I was able to go and record with him. That was my first real taste of what that world looked like. The competitions were fun, but that was for different churches in our state, but a recording studio was the real deal. Also, at the age of 15, I was offered a fully paid scholarship to Point Loma Nazarene College to study music and basically "make my church proud." Well, for some reasons I won't mention, and because I had a very funny feeling about all of that, I turned it down. I was told I was being foolish, that I didn't know what I was doing because I was so young and shouldn't make that decision yet, that I was being impetuous and jumping the gun by making a decision and not waiting until after high school. I knew the Holy Spirit was making me stop and think, while others were trying to get me to just take the offer. The more they pushed, the more I felt uncomfortable and then I just dropped it. Never spoke of it again to anyone in the church.
I knew what the desires of my heart were at that age. I wanted a family. I wanted to be married, I wanted kids, and I wanted the man that God had promised me (a different part of my testimony that is linked to all of this). God knew my heart and was preparing me for bigger and better things that had nothing to do with money or fame on day. I had learned a lot about the music industry when I was young, and there was something there that was unsettling, and I never got into the music scene because of it.
It wasn't until after I had already had my family and was living a very monetarily poor life that God revealed to me what He was doing with me. I wasn't going to be a famous singer. I was going to sing to my children at bed time, when they needed comforted, I was going to sing to my husband on dates or when we were alone, I was going to do some solos and duets in church, but I would never further that into life. That's what my voice was for, and that is how it would be used.
I have been so grateful that God kept me from the music industry. I would rather be poor and have no money, but have Jesus, than to have all the money I could handle and sell my soul for wealth. That's where these people are. The spirit of greed has oppressed them, and Satan has used that power and money to lead them away from Jesus. We are to NOT store up treasures on earth but in Heaven where those treasures are safe and will be there for us when it's time. These people have allowed the spirit of greed to overtake them. There is nothing interesting or covet worthy about what they have. I hope they all repent and give their lives properly to God and to HIS ministry, and not their own.

@@angiebaker9958 as I said, before, in my testimony, I chose to walk away. I wanted absolutely nothing to do with that lifestyle. I knew exactly what I would be getting myself into, and there is way too much sexuality in the music industry, even the Christian music industry. It’s becoming even more ridiculous now.I got what I wanted in my life. There is absolutely no resentment whatsoever. I walked away on purpose, and I’ve never looked back. Being a part of that at a young age, you realize that there is a bit of selling your soul to get where you want to get to. Unfortunately, there are too many artists that do that. The popularity, and the money are too enticing for most people. So believe me, when I tell you, there is definitely a selling of the soul to get what you want in most cases. The music industry is one of the worst areas for that. Actors too. Regardless of whether or not my testimony is theirs, is beside the point. God moved me away from that to protect me. I would rather be protected by my Abba father in heaven, then have what the world offers. The world has nothing that I want at all. so I appreciate your opinion, but my story is my story, and my testimony is my testimony. As far as the resentment is concerned, why would I resent that? If I don’t want that kind of life, why would I resent it? Why would I have walked away from it if I was just gonna resent it later? That doesn’t make any sense.
"we've lost the reverence for God." such a true statement. I love writing music that glorifies God and I want to put more songs on Spotify. I aim to encourage others, serve, glorify God, and make Jesus known. I will not compromise. If God has a plan to place me in the Christian music industry, I would love to have you as a mentor haha. I am not afraid to speak the truth. It's time for people to repent and have reverence for God.

This makes me so sad! Jordin grew up in the same church I used to go to but after she won American Idol in 2007 (at age 17) she gradually drifted away from the Lord. I was watching the Harvest Crusade testimony live and I remember feeling really strange about it. For King & Country are so fun in concert and very talented. Their sister is Rebecca St. James and I know she is solid. But as much as I love seeing them in concert (seen them 4 times) I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever heard them share the gospel. They say a few positive things about self-worth, etc. but their faith has become much more vague in recent years. They've collaborated with several "iffy" people, too. They all definitely need our prayers.

That is because they are part of the Nashville CCM industry. I lived there for awhile and worked in various studios and the things I saw and heard by almost everyone involved in the business completely turned me away from 99.9% of CCM - and that was in the mid 90's! Back then, it was all hidden to everyone but those who were in the scene. Nowadays, its no longer even a secret and is not even recognized by most listeners of CCM. The entire CCM industry is absolutely corrupt - from the musicians and singers to the producers to the engineers to the record label owners - 99% of them are not even close in beliefs as what most other evangelical Christians around the country would profess to believe. It is all about them - their income streams and their record sales and their image and their level of cool and hip among other CCM artists and musicians. Sadly, I have watched and tried to keep up with those bands who were practicing what they preached and who did believe in the tenets of the faith back then, and today, many of them do not even pretend to believe the basic tenets of Christianity.

I went to their Cmas concert and they spent 30-40 min of the concert begging for $ for African children. Not time or place. Those tickets were expensive. It was so tacky. I lost respect for them after that.
I've heard the praise God at more than one concert. They give praise to God for curing one of their illnesses.

I had to stop being the church's worship leader because of this. The people wanted music like this and Hillsong and no matter how much I tried to educate and explain it to them, they just flat out disagreed. My husband and I had to leave the church because it was a worldly church with more and more red flags popping up everywhere. I just pray and pray that their eyes be open to what real praise and worship music should be. We cannot love two masters.

For King and Country came to our church and they spoke about what their music was about and from what they said all songs are based on God. They did say that love me like I am IS ABOUT HOW GOD loves them. They seemed very wholesome and spoke about their love for God
It’s too bad then if they sing that to God with a woman who does not believe. There are plenty of beautiful voices to choose from.
Their songs are ambiguous depending on the worldview of the listener. A non- Christian who hears this song from King and Country on the radio will probably think it is about a person loving them. The point is that the lyrics/meaning of this song is ambiguous. In addition , non of their songs mention the name of Jesus.
However, their songs are positive and uplifting....and both brothers sing very well!

Our pastor preached a message from Jude yesterday about contending for the faith. He said so many Christians are compromising not contending. It was a very timely message. A couple of years ago For King and Country were in concert at the Faith and Family Night at the Diamondbacks baseball game. It was an awesome night of worship as their whole concert was focused on Christ alone. It's sad to see they have now chosen the easy path of compromise and no longer contend for the faith.
Good day Brother. I pray all is well in these darkening days. The Church should stick close and bring support for one another. The days grow long and the world grows cold. You can feel the spiritual darkness stretching out consuming more and more of our so called fellow “Christians” looking for the “Christ Spirit” and not for Jesus Christ. The crucifixion is forgotten. It’s true that this covertly sends the message that she’s Christian but Laurie is a pastor and the standard for him is higher and he clearly identifies her as a Christian in spite of the evidence she isn’t.

In my 20's I actually had an opportunity to play music professionally. I played in a local Metal band and had support from bands that had gotten high status. I was really excited until I looked around me and saw members of my band. I took a serious look at how they acted and lived. I had to ask myself if I wanted to travel with certain members and be with them basically 24/7. I finally decided I would end up dead or in jail. One of the members was constantly wanting me to join in on things that I knew were wrong and conflicted with my faith. He wanted me and him to be the next toxic twins or Mick and Keith. Other things were going on and I just didn't want to be associated with it so I walked away. The band carried on for a while but evidently imploded. I don't know what happened but I could guess. The Music Industry Christian or Secular is messed up and musicians are expected to give up certain aspects of their personality or how they live life.
That's nearly EXACT to my story! I fronted the band (but it wasn't "my band), and things just became more and more ungodly in their character. I had to ask myself the same thing, and I could not see myself going any further because I didn't trust them, and it wasn't what it should have been. They also imploded.

I used to go to a lot of Christian metal and punk shows. There were certain people in a few different bands that made me step back from the scene entirely. It was pretty upsetting seeing them outside after shows drinking and smoking, saying things Christians definitely shouldn't be saying. And all while kids who looked up to them were watching them as examples of how they should act. I'm not even saying this was a huge portion of the bands, but the times I saw it were enough.
I can tell you this: I used to work as an arena manager and server for a dinner theater in a tourist town and our breakfast show featured a group with a recognizable family name in the Christian music scene since the mid twentieth century. Occasionally I’d work the breakfast show and those people were the most arrogant, egotistical, fake “Christians” you’d ever want to meet. People are not meant to be worshiped. That’s what fame and celebrity are. Worship. The word “fan” is a derivative of “fanatic”, meaning “religious zealot”. I’m not saying all artists are like this, but some definitely are. Even the biggest, most familiar names of the genre.
Tbh I've been reading a lot of my Bible this year. Just going from cover to cover, repeat. And because of that it's actually gotten me to shy away from a lot of mainstream Christian music... and lean more toward hymns and older worship songs. I love songs that put emphasis on Jesus and that focus on Him. Way too many are vague and "me" centered. They also lack so much depth because of it as well. You can tell when they're just creating songs for profit.

Yes, the olden day songs have theology.. modern songs have nothing. Just a praise God phrase in the lyric or a hallelujah in the lyric doesn't make it a Christian song. The is no content in most of the songs!

It’s interesting, because even hymn writers had demons/sins that we would speak against. It seems the main difference is that now it’s something that can be profited off of, and back then it didn’t profit people much of anything. So the songs were likely written with better intentions. The man that wrote It is Well (Horatio Spatford) ended up going totally insane and even claiming to be the messiah. I certainly understand not wanting to profit evil people or false prophets, but don’t forget that God works all things together for good for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. If you’ve sung these songs and connected with your Father through singing them, don’t discount this. Pray for those getting swept up in these evils, but keep your own focus on God. It’s definitely a difficult thing to navigate.
It's the falling away that's been going on quite awhile now. I used to be with a group that did Christian Choral Music and the projects were nominated for Dove Awards. Attending the Doves was a GREAT eye opener. The record company execs and business men have taken over and most of them are not saved. Booze was served. Clothing was not entirely modest. You hear more thankfulness to our Lord at the Emmy's or Grammys. The so-called Christian record companies ARE NOT Christian. DO NOT support those who support un-Godly practices. Jesus wants us to come to Him as we are, but if we've truly repented, we're not going to stay the way we came. We pray for all these people.

I used to play in the worship band for years. It was a full orchestra of volunteer musicians, and word got around how good we were and people really started coming to the church. Soon they had to renovate and build a much larger capacity auditorium. Ironically, not long after that, (after I moved out of state) I heard that the head pastor did away with the volunteer orchestra and hired a "rock band" complete with skinny jeans, hipster hair styles (like the guys in this video) and a fog machine. I was sickened by what I saw when I went back to visit years later. I sat in my old favorite seating area and just happened to sit directly behind a l@sbian couple playing with each other's hair the whole time. Between that and the hipster band playing "Jesus is my boyfriend" type songs, I just got up and left...

That exact same thing happened to my church. It was near Asheville, NC. Huge volunteer choir and orchestra. The church blew up in the late 90's. I moved out of state and when we came back to visit several years later it was so sad how much it had changed. The worship leader was a shell of himself trying to pretend he was all hip. No choir, terrible "worship" band.

This reminds of a point in a book I’m reading currently where the author talks at length about the American church. Basically he discusses that nowadays the major influencers, pastors, and artists are solely interested in consumerism rather spreading the gospel. Instead of telling folks the truth they need to hear to save them, they try to make them feel good and appease the culture. It’s counterproductive for our mission as Christians. Events such as these, with “Christian” artists such as these are not doing anything to further the gospel and bring the truth of Christ. Thank you as always for bringing this to light, brother! Love Me Like I Am is actually a song they did that was dedicated to their mom, and they've been working on a movie also dedicated to her called Unsung Hero. Though yes this song is technically about their mom, whenever I listen to and sing it, God is my focus. I was born again at 6 yrs old but earlier than that, though raised in a loving and Christian household, I always believed the lie that God didn't really love me unless I was perfect and did everything right. In recent years I've since had revelation of the truth of how He loves me unconditionally, how His perfect love casts out fear, and how it has the power to transform my life like it has. This song is a constant reminder of that for me, "it's amazing that [He] can love me as I am, and even when I can't, [He] still loves me as I am..." That's just my personal experience. Even a secular song can reveal something of God if you really look at it, after all He created music. The devil just took it and tried to pervert it like he's done with everything else God created. So yes, be mindful of what you listen to but everything's not an abomination just cuz it doesn't mention "God, Jesus, Holy Spirit" or any other religious/Christian-ese word. God can still use it to speak to people and has used this song as well as For King & Country and their music.
You can’t capitalize the word ‘you’ and suggest that it is about your mom…. The lyrics he showed on the screen had “You” suggesting God. No one is denying it’s a nice song. But truly, this has been an epidemic, Running rampant through Christian “worship music.”
It’s not to say that good worship music does not come out, but so much of it is mixed in and meant to appeal to the world. Also, no one has denying that, for King & Country is truly gifted and talented. Or that they do good work, or that they don’t love God. How much more criminal, cruel and satanic could a person possibly be? Americans have always treated their pets with more favor, sympathy and dignity! This tells you something frightening about the morality of an America that would elect this man to its highest office and oppose Israel for trying to irradicate Hamas, a Zombie Palestinian terror organization who has just tortured and massacred over thousand of unarmed and innocent families in the most extreme and gruesome ways! God has commanded "thou shalt not kill" and He is not mocked "for whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap." Repent America for the millions upon millions of helpless innocents murdered (in and out of the womb) in His country, in the most horrific and brutal ways for profit even to the point of selling the body parts of those helplessly murdered! An undercover reporter who brought this all to light with video evidence was thrown into jail by Kamala Harris now Vice President, but then California State Attorney General! Whom is the criminal? America is worse than Nazi Germany! America continues to practice Appartheid: Abortion upon a mostly uninformed populous of young black women whom are kept from hearing the truth by an aggressive money mongering Administration that criminalizes and jails a moral minority who try to educate these used and abused women!
Amir Tsarfati is absolutely right about these Hamas devils being Nazis and their supporters, through elections, but I like the name Zombies that Amir has given them even better because it is so true: they are not human and there is no real breath of life, spirit (conscience), left in them. Their driving force and energy of soul is no longer the mind and heart but satanic and demonic, in the spirit of possession! Those who cannot see this and would like to argue and dispute this fact are without excuse and probably have already spiritually joined the Zombie hoards that crawl from their dark graves (tunnels) into light " only to kill, steal, and destroy". This is antisemetism but more, the spirit of AntiChrist! God has and will continue to bless His Chosen, Israel!
Everyday there is more and more blurring of lines. You really can see who ACTUALLY believe what they say they believe. People choosing fame and self gain over God . Lord help us. It feels like a shift is happening before our eyes.

Thank you again Brylan. Yes, we have lost reverence for our God. In fact, I just typed similar words to another you tube channel. He is a Russian musician. He truly has a talent from the Lord, and he uses it for the glory of the Lord. I thanked him for such lovely reverence and love for our Lord, and stated that we have lost that, especially in our country. There is not really worship of the Lord in any of these songs. I thought that was supposed to be the point of worship songs. God takes very seriously those who claim to be worshiping Him. Thank you for your strong stand on the straight and narrow path that leads to the Lord.

@@BrylanandLisa Yes sir I am speaking of Simon Khorolskiy! I have enjoyed him so much! I have subscribed to him, and I have yet to find one that is not filled with a love of our Savior and most of them are more reverent than any that I have run across. I am so glad that you have seen some of his. There are so many that I would highly recommend, but alas I can't bring many titles to mind. I do know that one is The Deep Deep Love of Jesus! So many of his actually make me weep and fall to my knees in prayer just to spend extra time with the Lord. If you want to just be encouraged by a fellow believer pull him up and enjoy!
I get annoyed when the argument is that Jesus hung out with sinners….. He literally only did if they are repentant. It’s not like they kept sinning after their encounter with him.
I go to a Christian music festival in Muskegon Michigan every August. King and Country performs there every other year. Most bands tell their testimonies and how God is working in their life. For King and Country has never mentioned Jesus’ name and it has gotten to the point that no one feels God’s presence when they are on stage

Just about two months ago I was sitting in church. It’s a small church in a rural area in the US. The man who gives announcements stood up and gave announcements and finished by saying hey, has anybody else recognized that you can listen to a secular song and if you just in your mind, change the words a little bit, it could be a worship song? And he went on for a few minutes! I was shocked that he said that because I knew it would not go by the pastor very well. However, I haven’t heard a word of it since! And by the way, I never take a secular song and turn it into a worship song. In fact, I can say, I never listen to secular music at all.
And you still attend there?
It you watch regular movies you can listen to love songs every once in a while
I remember Debbie Boone singing You Light Up My Life in 1977 and while she was performing for a movie she sang it to the Lord as a worship song.

Thank you for doing these videos, Brylan! I strongly believe that what these artists and companies stand for and believe in DOES matter because they are influencing our culture, and our children. Once I know that someone has questionable beliefs, I have to separate myself from them, and I pray for them to come to Jesus with a repentant heart for the sake of their eternal soul. It breaks my heart to see people who've supposedly tasted of The Lord and walked away to pursue the world...

We have to be discerning of the music being played on the radio, in our churches, and out in the world.
Jesus ate with sinners but he never condoned their behavior instead told them to go and sin no more. We have to keep pointing them back to Jesus instead of “loving” them through acceptance all the way to the gates of hell.

I shall say this about For King and country: their song "God only knows" is maybe the most honest Christian song when it comes to lyric that I´ve heard so far. Rather spot on when it comes to the persecution.
You are spot on. Sick of everyone watering down the gospel. Jesus was able to eat with the wicked and immoral because he is Jesus. We can love people and pray for them but sin is sin and overly associating ourselves with wickedness and sin will not be in our best interests.
I’ve been so done with CCM for 20 yrs. I have returned to historical hymns with solid doctrine.

Thank you for this. It has really confirmed for me that not all “Christian” artists are truly using their talents and platforms to spread the gospel or to give God all the honor and glory.
The problem is our kids. They are the ones growing up seeing this. They need our prayers to receive the holy spirit and God's discernment and to be led rightly/righteously.
The true Christians that are left in the industry need to find their spines and call out this nonsense. I saw this first on Spencer Smith and was shocked that For King and Country would compromise their principals in that way. Jesus ate with sinners and told them to repent and sin no more, nowdays there is so much compromise, which we saw front and center at the Dove Awards and no other christian musicians have spoke out about it except John Cooper. I am almost to the point where i cant listen to any solid christian music. I saw Michael W Smith with his good friend Jonathan Roumie and touring with Amy Grant.And i dont know many of them have done songs for "The Chosen". it makes me sick and sad but we keep praying. It makes me wonder if they call out their friends that are sinning or just hide their heads in the sand.
I'm shocked to learn this about For King and Country...too many "Christian" bands swaying in the wrong direction. I'm very unhappy n I'll be praying for them and their souls .
