Fantastic video! Funny enough I believe the dash cam I bought my wife was your first dash cam and the dash cam currently in my car is the 4K when you got as well. I am somewhat of a tech guy but that doesn’t mean that I’m up-to-date with every single tech equipment out there. For things like dash cams, I generally research find what I need install it and forget everything. Your video was very clear concise without any flaws other than the studio audience. Great info it was very helpful. I have gotten the Rexing app to download videos before but it was a couple of years ago so I’m curious if they’ve updated it and broken it since then. Thanks for the video.
I can’t tell you how irritated I was when I learned that Rexing uses my videos as a secondary instrument to make money from RUclips, etc…. I also have not been able to get the app to work. I will take your advice! Thank you sir.
If you run the Rexing on 4K, with loop turned off, it will get almost 24 hours per 256 GB card. Myself I run the Rexing V1GW-4K and the Rexing V1-Max. The Max also has time lapse, the GW does not. I have had a two Rexing die over the last three years but for the price? Worth it. Good video. I swap SD cards every day, and keep a week’s worth of video. The time lapse will last a week, so I don’t change that one out.
if I plan on letting it just record all day so I have the option to view it at the end other but i am not too focused on keeping them long term is that an option?
You might be able to use roofing material for your issue. I know some of those stay put through very high winds so you might be able to do that. I like the idea of the spray on though.
So, I just picked up a 41GW-4K thanks to your review. I too was looking at the V55, but you saved me! Just wondering what format do you upload your video to RUclips? This thing saves video in HEVC format. I had to get a convertor to change it to MP4. Thanks, and watch out fer that White Knight!
I have been using Rexing Camera since January of 2019. bought second one for rear view. never failed yet. I usually make so each file is 1 minute long, so if file corrupt , I only lose 1 min of it, which never had happen yet. yes, easiest way to transfer file is Pull out MicroSD card, I have a little piece of thin tape attach to MicroSD card , because it tend to pop out. holding small tape while push in to take it out.
I was able to playback my dash cam videos on the Rexing app but once I higher the resolution, the app been useless, can’t watch the videos anymore. Thanks for the video and I’m going to try it later
Thank you for the video. I have a Rexing dual cam v1p se but I can’t get the video clips to play on my phone or they will start to play for about 3 seconds worth then buffer forever !! Do you have any idea what causes this ?
No. But since then I bought a dongle on Amazon that allows me to put the sd card straight into it and attach to lightning plug on my iPhone. Works great. Dongle was only about $11
I bought one of those devices off eBay and I tried it today for the first time. I put the micro SD card in and I can't find anything on my desktop that pops up. Can you be a little more specific? I have looked everywhere on my desktop And all of the apps and I don't see anything. What am I doing wrong?

I just put the SD card into a reader plugged right into my iPhone and it has had no compatibility issues

I find the one captures everything pretty good. It’s got a very wide angle lens. I just use the older one for time lapse stuff. And as a backup

If u have the G/shock set right it will probably save it. But if u use at least a 128mb sd card. I can save it later

The Rexing app actually works, but you have to turn off cell phone data first. Then it connects just fine.

Mine pops up as dashcam in my files and only shows pictures all videos are a music note saying mpeg-2 transport stream 😢

Weird. Try downloading the TimaCam app. I’ve used that to transfer Rexing stuff before
now we just need a good video editing video..haha..finally got an iphone
I use the VideoShop app. It works well.
Can’t find timacam in the Apple App Store
May not be available any more. I resorted to just taking the sd card out and putting it into a reader attached right to my phone. Much faster

On my Apple phone. It shows up under “untitled drive”. I click that icon and find the videos
