Take your Lego Natural History Museum to the next level with the “Tall Natural History Museum Alt Build”. This Lego alternate build turns the original 1.5 baseplate, 2-story building into a 1-baseplate, 3-story building. Only 1 copy of set 10326 is used, and no extra parts are needed. Thanks! I put the shorter official set on both sides of my tall one in Studio and it looks pretty cool!

Thanks! Yeah, I designed it digitally before buying the set because I was on the fence initially.

Impressive! It actually looks larger than it is (one baseplate). Probabily because many the newest modulars consists on two separate buildings. It definitely stands out. I feel the decision to make the original 1,5 baseplates was to compensate with a second set similar to Assebly Square.

Thanks! Yeah, a single building on one baseplate really stands out compared to recent modulars! (like the Town Hall modular)

Great build man! Although don't we already have like pretty much every other modular in that shape? lol I think the original proportions were great for that reason.

thanks! lol Yeah, I just wanted something taller, plus this saves space. I think the orig 1.5 wide with a 3rd floor could also look good, but it'd require more pieces obviously.

I would recommand to build the museum on two 32 stud plates instead of the 32 + 16 plate - or just one like here - it gives the building some breathing area which is needed in my opinion. Did not stumble on too many museums which are attached to other buildings around here so why in my Lego city : )

True, if you have the space, giving some room on both sides would look good.

This solves a lot of things of the original 🤩 Now I am in doubt if I should transfer it into your alternative. Ut looks definately better between the other builds

Thanks. Yeah, I thought it needed to be either wider or taller. I didn't want to buy more pieces to fix the set (and don't have much space), so I chose the taller route.

The biggest complaint of the set is the olive green color
Being two floors is the other big problem with the set
Pretty impressive how much fut into this alternate model, great job

Yeah, I was hesitant about the olive green initially. I heard someone say it looked better in person, tho. And I agree; I think it looks much better irl.
