U didn't mention nothing about paying tax on capital gains. Is this really a good idea to add part of a diversified portfolio? Given that many people that I know cannot even hit the 20k isa depo limit

VC/seed investment case presented well. The option of a shariah compliant VC syndicate is appealing but would be a greater affinity if there were some way to understanding the businesses invested in to date and their growth potential. One ideal space would be fintech (like wahed) but perhaps doesnt attract the mass consumer... but insha Allah there must be gaps that yet to be identified.

Good question. These guys have a "secondary" market where you can sell your shares on there - which is a helpful way of exiting. However in the most part, angel investors will exit at either a buyout or an IPO (listing on stock exchange) or M&A event.

If you have £300, forget the stock market you won't make much. Invest in yourself instead
