    Very useful video. Basically I'm a Mint user and I'm new on Puppy. I use to explore it on an almost broken old notebook.
    I don't have problems to install app with PPM. I have problem to remove app. I don't see where PPM shows the packages yet installed.
    I mean, I'm able to remove the app that I have installed like you have done with gimp and Firefox, but I don't see where are the default packages installed that I would remove.
    Other question: how can I add new repositories? For example I would use the repo of Mint or MX or even better Sparky Linux because they are very complete.
    So, since you're expert on managing Puppy can you link me some videos or web page with these informations?
    Thanks in advance.

      There is a way to remove a native app that comes default with a puppy by menu-Setup-remove builtin packages. I advise against removing app with this method for new users of puppy. There is no way to add repositories as in other linux distros. There are however several ways to install apps in puppy. see here: ruclips.net/video/z7DiNH9Pf3Q/видео.html

      Thank you. Now it's more clear 👍🏻
      I'm having a look to the new puppy derivate called F96 Fusilli because it has xfce as de and I find it more comfortable to use.
      Thank you ✋🏻

      would be interested to know your opinion... Although I use a tiling manager bspwm with puppy, I have not played around with xfce.

    • @puppy_BYTE
      @puppy_BYTE  Год назад +1

      @@puppy_BYTE Thanks for your reply. I was able to get python3.6 installed,
      Is there a sone type of window manager switcher?

    • @puppy_BYTE
      @puppy_BYTE  Год назад +1

      jwm is the default /etc/windowmanager (open with geany), to start i3 delete jwm and replace it with i3 and reboot. Let me know if this works.

      most of puppylinux will not need to be updated and also don't use apt to install packages.
