-grand national is the best woodie in the country and the maroon train was running beautifully (especially on my non wheel seat)
-the logflume takeover was fabulous to see in person
-meeting many youtubers, like yourself, was absolutely fabulous!! you guys are so nice to have a chat with!
-i also 100% agree with you in regards to the scanning at Valhalla, and for that matter on all rides. I know its for capturing data, but I'm sure there are better ways.

Best vlog of bpb you've done. No more going straight to big one/icon and missing other rides. I'm in your vlog 3 times. Front of you in Nash queue(best woodie). Secondly I'm filming Mike on Nash next to you. Then we are buying merch in icon shop and talking to Mike. Great day but big one needed 2 trains and scanning your phone is a pain.😀👍

Hopefully it’s going to be a great season for BPB. Love the little touches around the park. I really hope there isn’t e-ticket scanning on Valhalla. Not only from the safety points you mentioned but if the boats are constantly moving, the staff will really want people to board asap. With scanning your phone, it just adds such a faff and could seriously harm operations. Wish BPB would just scrap it altogether. Fantastic vlog!👍

Also unless you’re wearing something waterproof your phones basically good as dead cause you can’t put your bag anywhere

Excellent vlog as always Scott, great to see BPB looking after key rides like Valhalla & Dipper along with Streak & previously Nash. Me personally would like to see BPB paint the dipper trains Black with Gold decals on in celebration of its 100th year, but no matter still a great ride. Hopefully manage to get a couple visits in this year

Great video as always Scott. While I personally don’t mind scanning my phone, I think that unless they are planning on a lock box system for Valhalla, then it would be better, even purely from a queue management perspective, if they didn’t use the scanners for the ride, so that riders could securely protect their phones.

Good video by the baldies although I have reported them for filming on park. It was amazing to be back and very exciting. My only concern about Valhalla was that with the water on and boats cycling lots of people thought it was fully operational and the staff nearby were having a hard time stopping them and explaining the situation to them.

@@louisekiernan9741 Well, everyone who was spoke on camera was happy to be filmed. If you see somebody filming and don’t want to be in their video don’t walk in shot is my advice 👍

Great news they are giving the Dipper loads of TLC. I've came to hate it but I really want to like it the way I do Nash and Streak.

Seems like BPB have put a hell of alot of effort in this close summer. Get rid of scanning and it will be the best park in the UK again.

Hi guys, I spoke to you yesterday near Big Dipper and you told us that you were going to try and go on The Big One. If you did how long did the queue take and how did it feel after the retrack, we didn't go on it because the queue looked to big. Great vlog!

Hope that e-ticket thing gets scrapped for Valhalla, I mean, the wettest ride in the park and they want people scanning their phones to get on. Cant wait for valhalla though. Any idea as to when the Big Dipper will open this season, hopefully visiting in June so hope it opens by then

Pretty much used to rain, just hoping it won't be the level which will ruin the day (as we both are coming from Liverpool, long distance)
Why do they need an eTicket scanner when everyone needs a ticket to enter the park? It was really odd and annoying last time I visited.

Is there actually a reason why they still require people to scan their phones? Surely if you're in the park, you've paid. Or do they still sell raffle sheets of ride tokens?

I am an app developer and I hate the idea behind ‘e-tickets’ for rides. I come to these places to get away from technology. Wristbands work fine.
In terms of environment it’s all bs for cost saving. The systems and servers required for it cost way more energy than paper.
It’s just pointless scanning at rides when they’ve no plans to bring back the walk round pass

Visits this weekend and absolutely dreading scanning for rides. Said it before, for numbers, staff should just use the hand clickers. Such an unfriendly consumer experience.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, I for one liked the old music but it was from hot ice years ago. Am I happy that a reimagined Valhalla has got new music? Yes. Will I miss the old music? Also yes, they don’t have to be mutually exclusive

I genuinely hope Pleasure Beach have stopped to consider the logic of scanning for Valhalla. Otherwise I can only imagine guest services will be inundated with people complaining of water damaged phones having being made to take it on the ride

Blackpool Pleasure Beach is the worst theme park in the UK. Horrible miserable staff, old broken rides, too expensive, and long queues. Go to Alton Towers instead!

People who say Grand National is the best woody in the country are masochists... It has nostalgia, and used to be a great coaster... but it has had it's day and is now just horrible to ride.
Excellent coaster, maybe you can build up to it by riding Blue Flyer first and go from there 😊

You picked the wrong day Scot. Park was dead today (Sunday). 15minute wait for big one on one train. Avalanche was back to the old entrance as well. Managed a quick chat with Andy Highgate, he seemed to think it will be the back end of May before dipper reopens. Don't like the new Valhalla music, just wishy washy nothingness.
Glad to have been at Alton Towers today for mostly walk on coasters

Like everything the PB does, they havent really thought through the issues with Valhalla and phone scanning
I hope they have a proper plan in place for it
We don’t know what they have planned, so far everything that we have said is purely speculation. They may have a system in place behind the shutters that we haven’t been able to see
