It is recommended to watch these workshop videos At LEAST twice, first is just watch it to the end, second is watch it while creating with it. This would probably be my reference video in the future if I forget or get confused along the way. Thank you, Devlin

Haha yes, for sure! Especially since we cover so much ground in some of these and most of them are not made for beginners (they get quite advanced at the end sometimes).

Thank you so much for these workshops, Devlin! This was my third video of Articulate Storyline and I will keep watching the rest of the videos in this playlist, it's very helpful and I find all of your explanations and comments really useful!

another great video....been away a bit for holidays and just getting back to doing videos. Need to figure out a project idea so I can start to work on that. Really appreciate your help and the work you put into all these videos, They are well paced and make learning much more fun.

    Yes! Thank You!
Storyline: States>Edit States>Add>State name: (drop down) Drag and Drop>"Drop Correct"
automatically makes the item disappear when a person does the trigger action in the player,
but if you manually create your own Add>State name: New State and edit the text with any name you create,
then it won't automatically make the item disappear.
The Triggers list doesn't show anything about hidden when the "Drop Correct" setting is used,
so it's just automatically happening without you knowing or seeing how to edit it,
thus don't use the drop-down and just manually create your own "CORRECT" state to eliminate the auto-disappearing feature.
It took me many wasted hours of researching to figure out how to get the auto-disappear to stop,
and your video here eventually helped me figure this out.

Hi excellent tutorial... can we make the layers appear randomly, so every user will get draggable text different. Does is make sense?

I really wish you showed how to do the feedback pages. My interaction doesn’t register in the results on my final assessment. I want to build more custom graded interactions.

I'm creating a fun Venn Diagram interaction, and your workshop helped me see opportunities to use layers and states for a more efficient build. I'm running into an issue with spacing continuity of the term objects as I go from layer to layer. I thought that placing all the term textboxes on the base layer with initial states of hidden combined with conditional state changes dependent on object states on other layers would solve my problem. I'm struggling to get the state change to fire on the base layer. Has anyone tried this before? If so, I'd be elated at any advice you can offer.

Just a follow up for anyone trying to do this, create a set state trigger on the layer that the user action occurs on. You have access to change the state of objects on the base layer from other layers. I was able to toggle a textbox object to visible on the base layer without a condition.

Do you know how to do this x-ray interaction (ruclips.net/video/HHyRTmlJe-4/видео.html) Do you have any tutorial that shows how?

Not bad, but I feel this video could have been shortened by at least 30 mins.
Also, this strategy for a D&D activity is ok if you want to have the items appear in a certain order, but I think D&D activities are more useful from a learner's perspective for having option appear randomly. I feel this strategy is a very inefficient and overly complex way of doing a D&D activity when you could also do a single slide and convert it to a freeform D&D slide or have it set up as a D&D assessment activity. This way, you don't have to worry about where the correct targets, as they are easily programmed into a single trigger rather than dozens, and you don't need dozens of layers and their associated triggers.
    Just my opinion...
