What's the story on Torture Tactics? You recorded it for the 1st album and then for the 2nd album, and then allegedly you had re-written it as "Silence (The Spoken Word)". What is the version that appears on the ep (as TT appeared on the Japanese version of OTM - thx TC!). What was the difference between the 1st & 2nd lp version & which version is on the ET lp reissue?
There was no way I would miss thrash of the titans for chuck and killian on command for Sean! I love them and Zet too! You guys in the Bay Area band and the music helped me through my life!❤️🤘🏻
Oh look. My favorite singers from my top 2 favorite Bay Area Thrash bands. My very 1st show I was 13. Exodus and Forbidden at the Fillmore right before the earthquake in 89. Saw Vio-lence as many times as possible at the Stone. Man. I miss those days. --Mike, Martinez, Ca. PS...RIP Chuck.
I remember seeing Vio-lence in phoenix, with Prong, and Flotsam, Sean always wore this long sleeve black turtle neck shirt, I thought he was insane, one of a kind singer!!!!
Due to my age, I’m a actually a grunge generation guy even though I was discovering so many 70’s, NWOBHM and thrash bands in the early to mid 90’s. I remember being very disappointed by new releases of metal bands back then and definitely felt the compromise. I’m kinder to a lot of those 90’s releases now (and some not so much) because I’ve learned to accept them for what they are. Still, really fascinating hearing you two talk about that era due to my age, locale and unusual taste in music for the time. Can’t wait for the FORCE OF HABIT episode (one of the ones that has grown on me), for this very reason.
“Architect of Pain” is my favorite off that album. Though there are a few thrash parts in it, it’s mostly an epic, traditional “Stargazer” type song musically and very unusual for Exodus.
Love? Love? I can understand you saying you don't hate it but to Love it yes you are weird....listen there are a couple small bright spots on that album but as a whole album it is pure dog poop.
Great interview, so happy to see you looking and sounding good and healthy Sean. Eternal nightmare is my favourite thrash album of all time such an influence on my band back in the day, we even did a cover of kill on command , Perry Strickland commented and we where all like schoolgirls when we seen this on RUclips hahah. Anyway here's our cover if anyone is interested!ruclips.net/video/tS3qEjUGv8M/видео.html
Eternal Nightmare is my #1 favorite album of all time. Better than Reign in Blood, Master of Puppets and Rust in Peace, in my opinion. I like Oppressing very much and Nothing To Gain would have been much better received if it were for better production. Having said that I think they will put out new music. Could be a couple songs, an EP or perhaps even a full length. I just hope it comes natural and it doesn't sound forced. They are steam rolling through all these reunion shows this year so it just makes sense that they will eventually put some new stuff together.
@@damianhealy2955 That would be awesome to hear new music from Vio-lence. I can't decide which Vio-lence album I like the best to me they all sound fantastic.
Zet!! I’m over here wiping up tears when you were talking about the Metro show. Indescribable energy!!! So awesome to see you and every fucking body!!! Thanks for doing this bro!! LMK if you are ever in San Diego!! Love you man!!!🤘🖤🤘
I love how zet talks about the early 90s when metal was thrown to the side...some people dont Believe it...death metal was drawing crowds....thrash wasn't. But death metal was over saturated and left as well. I remember going to see nuclear assault and "6" people showed up....4 were part of my crew....john connoly asked if I had any weed.....also at that time I quit playing drums and went on to the working world to make that money ...
New to the channel but not to the scene, got into thrash in 84 and never to this day stopped listening to it. Great channel/guests,so interesting hearing the stories. So takes you back to great days...and these great bands still releasing great records...in the blood... Keep em comin, and see ya next time your in the U.K. 🤘
Zet you all fucking nailed it at the benefit show. I'm so glad I took the time off to drive down from Seattle to see it. At the time I had no idea wtf was going to happen with Sean, so in all fairness it was mostly a trip to see him, possibly for the last time considering how bad of shape he was in. I couldn't be happier that he's kicking so much ass now. Came down again to see the first ever Violence reunion show at the Metro, too. Was absolutely amazing and to see how much Sean healed up, nothing short of miraculous.
Thank you Zet so fucking much man...! You & Sean together just chatting, the stories, awesome to see! If only Vio-lence could get on the Bay Strikes Back Euro tour next year...!
@@waltermorgan8794 well thank you Walter for clearing that up to me because I think it would have been cool to see violence unsure what Testament DEA and exodus because violence live wise can't touch Testament Exodus or death Angels performance not in the days that I remember when I saw violence was one of the best if not one of the best number one live performance bands in the Bay Area I ever saw
@@waltermorgan8794 yeah that would just be cool cuz I really really think violence has a really good Bay Area sound that would be would have been good on that tour thanks for clearing some things up for me Walter thanks
0:14-16.. Ouch! How's that for some good friendly violent ball busting! 😂 Hahaha.. Bang Tango as label mates.. Jesus.. That aint what you want to hear for an opening line. Think a walk-through of Vida Guerra in Daisy Dukes is in order Zet, take some sting outta that fast pitch of yours. LMFAO.⛧🤘

I been watching violence play in the bay since damb near first started. Take care of your health, hope to see you guys play again, local Bay shows.
I have 1 correction, the band that was on Mechanics Records was not King Crimson, it was Dream Theater.
voivod were on mechanic/mca as well!
Right on, Sean. Glad to see that you're doing so much better. All the best to you and your recovery. VI0-LENCE kills and always will!⛧🤘

berns009 and the CroMags.
I’m enjoying the HELL out of this.

Clearly not as good as the ones previous besides Impact Is Imminent, but I enjoy it for being different. I dunno, I like all of Exodus' albums.
Me,myself and I !
Great album....had no problems with it.
Vio-Lence last show during the first era of the band was on December 18, 1993. I'm so glad the band are back and I'm stoked for the new EP 🤘
