Shep is the best in the business. His format and presentation is entertaining, captivating, fast paced, and a breath of fresh air. He's perfect for the 7pm time slot, regardless of network.
He didn't get concerned until Trump was in office for about 3 years. Morals? He should have outed Fox years ago. Republicans trying to wash their hands is sickening. His diminishing returns were obviously self serving. And still feels he was doing good. Ha.
“When your guy or gal is in office, you’re cheerleading and when it switches, you’re fighting.” This offhand remark is both true and devastating. News should not be cheerleading; they should be consistently sharing facts.
@@JeepCherokeeful I don’t know about the cheerleading when your guy is in office thing; Obama took it from all sides. Seems like the only place comparing the truth to garbage were the late night comedians. While CNN and others did not spread rumors and race baiting innuendo, they were not that great at presenting news to inform viewers of the nuanced lies being reported elsewhere. I can probably buy the argument that they did not think this was their mandate, yet they let that ship of lies sail much too long IMO.
"news" stations need to be required to cleary label shows "opinion" just the way news papers had the "editorial" - I think TV news should keep the word "opinion" on the screen for the duration of the piece. Most people don't have Shepard's ability to tell what is fact and what is hype.
The Problem is not the media as much as it is social media. Most kids (25 and under) don't watch mainstream news. You could argue that most others don't either. Twitter, RUclips and Facebook is what the new generation turn to to get ''news''. But you are right, new outlets do take liberties with what they call news. Both sides are guilty of it.
People should be required to determine for themselves what is opinion? I sure don't need you or the government telling me what to believe. I believe examine the information presented and make my own decisions. You should try it. It's called freedom.
"News" networks that are only about propaganda (Fox NEWS network, NEWSmax, One America NEWS Network) and aren't registered as a news network (they're all registered with the FCC as Entertainment Networks) should not be allowed to use the word/term "News" in their channel name. Fox News would have to become "Fox Opinion". One America could just drop "News" and call themselves "One America Network". Newsmax would completely have to change their name. And if they still pose as a news network, running newscasts that spew propaganda, pull their license.
@@jidic1845 the problem is that the news media presents opinions as news... I don’t mean they need to do this by law.. it should be the ethical thing to do

If you do, you’re naive and you’re no different from those who are brainwashed by fox or any other news source for that matter. Also, just because someone may have a different opinion on an issue from the mainstream, and tries to get their POVs out to the public, doesn’t necessarily mean they are actively trying to preach lies. People have agendas. People lie. And people with power and certain agendas (from both sides) have the means to twist the facts to fit their narratives, or just flat out lie.

True
"news" stations need to be required to cleary label shows "opinion" just the way news papers had the "editorial" - I think TV news should keep the word "opinion" on the screen for the duration of the piece. Most people don't have Shepard's ability to tell what is fact and what is hype.
I can't really respect him because he's still doing the same thing but for the other side now.

@@MyDestiny626trip it was actually 43 miles of new wall....new as in not replacing an existing wall. How long is the border with Mexico again? Even if it were 400+ miles as you claim, that is 1/5 of the border. And remind me, how much did Mexico pay for? Honestly, you MAGA fools are just ridiculous.
I am so proud of Shepherd Smith! I couldn’t STAND hearing his voice coming through my parents’ TV, and am thrilled he left Fox News. I hope the very best for him.
I can’t believe how fox is able to manipulate the truth. They’re partly accountable for the insurrection via their “fake news”. Stay well.
But on the other hand your parents won't have that voice coming from their TV and telling some truth among all the lies of FOX. Now it's all lies, except for Chris Wallace
Hopefully he can pull his fans fed up of fox with him
He’s a peeter puffer
@@gullahjack6560 Is that some clever name for a dude who prefers men to women?
This guy oozes class man.. I can definitely respect his point of view, and the fact that he don't even want to point the finger when he has the opportunity too. Helps me to appreciate his philosophy even more. I'd watch him
Well, he's oozing something, I'll give you that.
Love you Shep..... Love you...
