Recently I got same issue, so change the Abs wire and break pads, but now it’s showing same butt some times turn off and some turn on,when I’m in driving or turn to left or right side.
Mine has had this issue for years and I’ve just ignored it… because I’m a ridiculous person… but every year up until today, it has not failed its MOT. Today, it failed the MOT because this light comes on. I argued that previous garages went on to use the diagnostic tool to confirm that there was no genuine malfunction and therefore passed me but these guys refused. What do people think? Is this right? Why have I had about 7 MOT’s pass despite this issue and then today they make a point of failing me? I read the MOT guide… I appreciate under the ABS section there is nothing to excuse the warning light… however when you read the EPS section, it says that they should only fail if they are sure there is a malfunction. How can they be sure if they don’t go on to do the OBD2 scanner? Apparently the MOT doesn’t require them to carry out the diagnostic scan. I had booked in for a full service, as I always do. So they were going to be paid for diagnostic work. For years, every other garage hasn’t failed me for this. Some have raised it as an issue and I’ve explained it’s a known fault and they’ve seemed satisfied that the OBD is more trustworthy than the dash light. I ended up at a different garage today because their customer service booked me into the wrong place. Caused me to be an hour late for work. You couldn’t make my luck up with this today. 😒
Idk if its the same problem that Im having… these lights comes on, the speedometer stops to work and the power steering light is also on. The garage cant find the problem. Hopefully is something like this, have you ever saw this problem in the 2017 model? Thanks for the answer
An abs sensor can fail because of a bad connection at any point not a split wire....we all like a repair like I say my car is being a nightmare I have no idea what one so I need to get it code read on Monday

Sounds like you've got something else going on. You should try the insignia forums maybe people there who've had the same problems 👍
Nice one m8. My vauxhall Astra J had the same Service ESP error for some time now. Do you know the part number or model of the sensor?
Thanks.
I don't sorry. Think I got mine from eBay.
Smart fix
Thank you 👍
Hi,
Where did you buy the piece you've changed?
Thanks for the answer.
Hi. I bought it on eBay 👍
Hi John, mine stays on all the time would this be the solution for that too? Thanks in advance
It's usually the case. They're pretty cheap on eBay. If not give it a good spray with brake cleaner on the abs teeth at the back of the disc 👍
@@jonyr1TT thank you. I’ll give it a try and let you know the result
👍
My like it mate my 2005
