You could have just soldered the original battery and speaker to the PCB, then used it in its original housing.
The amplifier will be too small to comfortably drive a speaker of that size.

So even if you happened to match driver impedance so the audio amp wouldnt burn out, youre still only pushing maybe 3 watts to a speaker thats likely 25 or higher being a bookshelf speaker with tweeter and woofer combo deal.. if you knew some about the electronics driving the speaker than you could likely pin match a new chipset and replace that weaker one for only a few dollars or find a amp circuit inside something and scavenge the chip out of it..
I would like to do this for a similar but bigger speaker. Approximately 100w speaker, what will I need?

good idea, and works good, but i recomendo you to make a bridge to a bigger amp for the speaker, i know that 1.5 w can make sound in that speaker but you are using like less than 20% of the capabilities of those speakers lol

I used an old set of Logitech pc speakers and fit the controls to the box of a sub which had buggered amp. Works well!

You can do this but only if you want it to work for a minute or two but failing that, if you want to burn the premises the speaker is in.

I will tell you something simple the project is fine but it would not be better to buy a module of about 15 watts rms to make it sound much better

Ur both wrong i have a 5 dollar walmart speaker board on a pioneer 8ohm setup. Yea its not peak and ive added tank capacitors and inductors where needed, but not everyone is a perfectionist

The sound is like the Pioneer Speaker or same as the small one? If it has the same quality as the Pioneer well then Good! I really want to convert my old component speakers (series) to a Bluetooth one.
Don't. It is very weak I have many years experience in speakers don't do this your amplifiers will burn. I suggest getting a biiger and better amp for those speakers. If u use this you will damage speakers due to clipping. Please dont ruin those pioneer speakers they are great speakers.

For the thousandth time, a woofer is NOT the same as a Subwoofer!
Regular speaker boxes DO NOT have subwoofers, EVER, they only have woofers and tweeters (or in a 3-way speaker: woofer, mid-range, and tweeter). A subwoofer is specifically designed to produce extra powerful Bass sounds and requires a separate, more powerful amplifier to do that. A real subwoofer is simply not capable of producing some of the frequencies that you will get from that regular woofer.

How about when using speaker with same or lower watt RMS? 80s boombox only have 2.5W 3.2ohm, when mini amplifier is 3W 4ohm
