Who needs "Who Sampled" when we all got you DJ Furio. Dueces ✌🏿
Nice 👍
This is a good weapon to use against ignorant hip hop haters....
👍
Johnny Hammond is one of the blackest men ever to live. No white man can wail on a rhodes like him
This is a classic thing of hip hop meets white music that is collaboration with sounds, good beats and sampling their lyrics. This true art of music brings a new vibe that hip hop can explore a new era of all genres in music alike. Play on players play on.
Great comment
Never knew Hawaii Five-O was sampled for the Fat Joe song “Flow Joe.”
Yeah. Great track.
Wow never knew the delila fred foxxx... brilliant!
Yeah it’s a great use of the sample
Dick Hyman has to be a play on words 😆👏🏼
Genuine name 🤣
@@DJFurio FFS!!!! 😆😅😂😭👏🏼
#GENIOUS
Fun Fact: the song @ 3:30 Walter Murphy Band-"A Fifth Of Beethoven" disco version, is the same guy who wrote the Family Guy theme song lol
Walter Murphy 👍
You can do a whole video on Bob James.
I have done a whole video on Bob James ruclips.net/video/jgTXbzvp8EA/видео.html
Was waiting for Dennis Coffey. Nice vid though, thanks.
There’s probably a lot more people I could have shown
@@DJFurio Was thinking Charlie Byrd too
Giving classics a known voice in this current era. Hip Hop LOVES Solid Gold Oldies.
DJ Furio is the wave 😎
Appreciate it. Glad you like the video.
Shout out from from SOUTH AFRICA
Thanks
Company Flow more company flow
I did a full album breakdown for Company Flow years ago ruclips.net/video/B4D6k4EYiLU/видео.html
Everytime I hear that Jean Jacques Perrey-"E.V.A." sample, my mind instantly thinks of Futurama theme for some reason lol
Have a listen to Psyche Rock by Pierre Henry. That’s what they sampled for Futurama Theme.
To be fair- Bobby Caldwell, Michael McDonald, and Tina Marie had lifetime honorary Black Passes. They don't count.
Could you do a video on songs that DJ Quik sampled? I know he also made a lot his music himself by using a multitude of instruments ranging from African percussion to the guitar and keyboard but some of his samples are so good that they deserve their own video. I love DJ Quik both as a rapper and producer man he’s underrated
Added to the list
He even used Christmas bells
@@fmfdocbotl4358 oh yeah on songs like “Just Lyke Compton”
That Represent sample 🔥🔥🔥
Classic Preemo beat
If I could make a recommendation for your videos, it'd be to show the sampled Esham has used. He's Been making music since 1988 and has sampled Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Funkadelic, Beatsie Boys, etc.
I dig your vids a lot and appreciate them!
Let me look into it
Would love to see a Run The Jewels compilation out of you
Will add them to the ever increasing list
@@DJFurio Love ya man
👉🤛
El-p could have a list on his own
You could do one with Steely Dan alone, great job as always
Thanks
Another good One is "Looking Out My Window" by Tom Jones! The Drum Break has been used a lot (Kool G Rap & DJ Polo "Bad To The Bone")! And the Intro was Sampled by Big Daddy Kane (It's A Big Daddy Thing)
Yes
Crazy to see your channel evolve into what it is now, much props to you. I remember I used to chop it up with you in your comments about setups back in the day, before I had a lot of wax or really a set of dope decks at all.
Yeah man I remember that well. And it’s really just this year my channel has started to grow a lot.
@@DJFurio Seemingly sparked by a huge boost of creative output from you. Love to see it!
Oh and may I add the obligatory 'fuck UMG'? lol
Kraftwerk
Aww gyeah. White boi flava.
Woah! The amount of movement on the turntable- is making me seasick 🤣😂
Deliberate but ok 🤣
Johnny Hammond was white? Learned something today
He’s not
If you ever become the sample police, a lot of these beat makers and producers better clear they music before you get to them lol.
Dope shit tho
Would be an interesting job 🤣
Elzhi would be dope to track. Most underrated in the game
Added to the list
DJ.FURIO WOULD YOU DO A REGGAE VERSION..
VIRGIN ISLANDS PEACE ✊✊✊
THE LOVE FOR MUSIC SINCE 78.
Will add it to my ever increasing long list
Johnny Hammond’s black.
Good point 🤣
@@DJFurio it’s all good bro.
Either way your videos are crazy dope.
I always look forward to your new ones.
Keep it up. 💪🏼💯
Really don’t know how I managed to include him though. It’s annoying
Steely Dan and Bobby Caldwell earned their black cards in my book… my late Pops loved Steely Dan
No he's not, he was drafted by white people in the 3rd annual racial draft.
They traded up three spots to get him.
Team black traded the pick for Tina Marie.
✊✊
He said and johnny hammond
Didn't Bizmarkie get sued for not clearing the Steve Miller Band samples??
Nope, I think it was over his sample of "Alone Again"
It's Gilbert O' Sulliivan not Steve Miller
@@discomadness
Stop lying...
He had a lot of problems with his samples. That’s why he ended up releasing an album called All Samples Cleared
@@DJFurio
I thought that was the reason for the title of the album...
pretty sure Koresh is an indian/iranian name but w/e
He Got Game by Public Enemy wasn’t mentioned
There’s a lot of tracks not mentioned.
Can you do Rakim and his samples?
Added to the ever growing list
Samples from white boys? 😂
Oh yeah
Johnny Hammond wasn’t white, btw.
That’s why I changed the title of the video
@@DJFurio At least you spotted it, eh…
This going to make a lot of people angry in the next upcoming days.
How come?
@@DJFurio Fat Joe's comments on how Latinos helped to create Hip Hop. I'm not saying he is right or wrong. Hip Hop entered my life in 1977 when I was 9 years old. I am from Brooklyn. And it has never left. So I know what I saw as a kid. I've been seeing tons of racist comments on RUclips this past week. Very disturbing. From people who most likely are not from NYC. So imagine when they find out a sample from a song they adore was created by a white guy. 😱😱😱😱. I love the records you researched. Really dope content. Last year they pulled the plug on Nice n Smooth at Orchard Beach in the Bronx. They were about to perform Hip Hop Junkies in Spanish. Boy I was tight!
I must have missed those comments by Fat Joe. I would have loved to see Nice And Smooth playing.
@@DJFurio They played with The treacherous three, Melle Mel, Soul Sonic Force, CL Smooth, Kool Keith, Slick Rick, Ras Kass, and KRS-One🤩🤩🤩🤩
Now I am super jealous. I’ve only seen Kool Keith and KRS live out of that list.
