I don't think Toga Loves to hurt those she loves in the way like a sadist. She doesn't derive pleasure from causing pain, causing pain is how she expresses love. In fact she might not even register it as causing pain at all, not at an emotional level anyway. Emotionally it's a means to get that which brings her closer to the one she loves, blood.
Still fucked up of course and there's little consolation in that to the people who get hurt by her.
100% she should could have found someone into that eventually. Maybe someone with a regen quirk.

Also, Toga is a very sad character. Her power affects her mind and how she views things. So what’s normal to her and not “evil” or “bad” to her, is bad and evil to normal society. She is essentially misunderstood and treated badly for something she was born with. She is truly tragic. You can consider her a psychopath I assume. But she truly doesn’t see what she is doing as wrong so I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same thing. She definitely needs help though
My favourite character is AFO. That is because he is such a good villain. I swear so many of MHA audiences both take their personal feelings to personally and do not understand context.
Deku has girls fighting over him while Todoroki has to kill his own brother. I say that’s a pretty unfair trade if you ask me.

Toga doesn't love to hurt people, she demostrates love hurting people. It's not a choice, her quirk makes her love and thirst for blood. For her drinking blood is love. (Deku's response to Toga was "stop being the real you" that's why she said that Ochako and Deku are the same as her parents).
We already saw her story, it is the quirk's problem. Her whole story has been "u can't be yourself because society doesn't want you to be yourself". And Deku's arc has been "how do they become villains, why and where is society failing this people?"
Togas quirk affects her personality so she is surpressing her own urges to fit in with society .What she wants is a world where she can live feely which is crazy because laws but to her its not her fault she was born this way so its a very complex situation.
It's so fascinating, eh? Like, there's no right answer here... She's simply broken, born wrong I guess? What do we do with people like that? How is it fair that they suffer for conditions to their psyche beyond their control?
How did she even obtain this quirk in the first place is what im wondering?

@@narukunn5152 yes but it would be a degraded spilt. For example her mom could have a love quirk similar to ms joke that makes ppl laugh. Her dad could have the ability to transform via blood . Mix that then u get toga. This is for instance but it’s a mixture of her parents quirks for sure

With Toga her parents definitely coulve done better than just tell her to be normal. Perhaps they coulve done something like just having her drink smaller portions of blood. But instead of helping her they just keep telling her to be normal, pushing her psyche little by little, until she snapped.
It’s basically because no one can accept her for who she is, which is all she needs to hear, but never got anyone saying it to her up to this point in her life.

I'm a big fan of this series where one of the reason is due to how good the writing of the characters in term of emotional and storyline of it but i finally do have complain 😂.i can still by pass the reason that deku didn't able to react immediately bcuz of how short the time is and his danger sense didn't trigger, but now i do questioning on this episode fight. Deku vs toga fight situation seem not really logical in next episode, it's make toga hv superior ability in her physical body than deku. Yeah, i understand that her genuine feeling to deku, which her act to make the people she love hurt and bleeding is the way she show her genuine feeling is what make her able to overcome the danger sense, but it's didn't explain her ability to overcome deku at all in term of strength. ( I never ever complain bout MHA but here the plot hole is really too obvious, like i know u guys also can see it , yeah she had the experience as the killer and villain butttt still، it's illogical like even in this scene, toga able to release herself from deku whip ??yeah i accept and understand that she flexible and good agility but strong physical body? Not at all)

Toga's situation is just devastating. She never stood a chance in their society. It wasn't prepared for people like her, whose quirks affect them on such a fundamental level that it affects their psyche and personality like her. And they had warnings, with the Quirk Singularity Theory. They just ignored them, never set up systems that could help in the future, and now there are people like Toga who have no place in society because there was no way to accommodate them. Their society even still rejects people who look slightly different than a typical human, the heteropmorphs. They were wholly unprepared for the way quirks would evolve and affect people. I think you guys were right pointing out too that it goes back to her parents hurting her while saying they loved her. It just reinforced those feelings and they exploded into what they are now after she suppressed them for YEARS with no help. And now she asks the heroes "what do you want to do to me?" Well, they want to stop her but to do that they'll likely HAVE to hurt her at this point. So I think she's not understanding the difference, struggling to make sense of it. Why do the heroes get to hurt her if they DON'T love her, DO they love her and that's why they're hurting her? I think she's truly just snapped after years of this and is no longer capable of understanding reality anymore. I really think she could've had a chance at a happy life if their society just did better about people who were different or needed support.

Uraraka hasn't claimed Deku just yet. She's had plenty of chances.
So info on why toga is like that. Her quirk automatically forces her to want to drink people's blood. The same way we get hungry only it's not a necessity to live. And if you add love to that, it heightens it. Her views on morality and love are twisted because of the influence of her powers. It's literally not her fault. Tragic basically.

I'm totally into it, but the show started with nearly 6 minutes of recap and replaying a bunch of previous scenes, scenes that were even from the end of the previous episode.... That's 6 mins out of like a 24 mins episode (and the open/end take up time too). Do they really think we need that much recap of stuff that literally just happened? Or they're just milking it for time.... Annoying!!

It's for pacing. It's either they add fluff, skip scenes, make new scenes or make the episode drag. The episode needed to end where it ended, and to do that they needed to pad put the episode. This is how most anime work.
Was likely made that way so next ep can cover the backstory + fight in 1 episode without cutting away, checked and this ep still managed to cover 3 manga chapters like previous episodes

Your wrong Toga needs real help. normal society usually can identify children special needs most of the time. Buy from what I understand in this Anime Horikoshi is using this as a plot. So ppl haven't for what reason given these ppl help.
