I have been putting my production gear in fly cases for years. When the ATEM mini came out I promptly built a case for it with Neutrik connections and Pelican 1200 case and a battery pack on board. I use it almost daily in my news coverage business. Since then I have seen many iterations of this kind of boxes, which demonstrates people's creativity and craftmanship on these types of projects. Yours sir is the cleanest and most well-put-together I've seen on YT! I considered building a line of boxes and selling them, but I would recommend people build their own since first, it is fun, and second, you end up with the box you want for the work you do. Having laser-cut pieces and parts is a Godsend for those without shops or tools to make them. Thanks for the video - Cheers!

I remember buying a Pelican type box with a sloping front up the Euston Road lots of years ago, probably long forgotten design but would present controls nicely. US 2 pin does have a use👍
The US adaptor means the power supply is nice and flat on the case.

Nicely done however I build my Atem Pro Iso in a case with a bigger monitor of 11" of Full HD because the Atem pro does not send out 4K and 2 switches on the front for separately starting up the Atem and the monitor.
For the outside connectors I used connectors with caps to protect from dirt and water when using outside.
I also made an Usb C connection on the front to connect to an external 2 Tb SSD for recording

Design something where Elgato prompter, Elgato camera and laptop fixed in one case please
I agree it would be a nice combo in a case, but the Prompter doesn't conveniently fold flat, so it'd be mission to get it in a small case. But it's got me thinking.

Thank you mate. This is amazing. I am now your new subscriber. I am a volunteer in the church and would like to do this for church live streaming. We have a bigger Atem mini extreme and I can see the ports are wearing out and having loose connections. I would like your advice. Where do we get the parts and if we want build already , how much? Would I be able to take the monitor out and use it on my camera for separate film shoots?
Yep. It's just held in with a couple of standard 1/4 camera screws.
The brass insert size M5. What size of the hole did you drill? It must be smaller than M5? Many thanks.
I generally make the same diameter as the middle outer of the insert. This will vary on exactly which insert your using. It's best to test on some scrap first.

Hi Whirly. Why the 12v power supply on the list? Can the power supply from Atem mini extreme able to power the monitor?
It depends on the monitor you use.
@@WhirlyBloke Many thanks. Please advise if I need to buy a power supply. Here is the scenario: at the back of Atem it says 50W. I have 2 small fans to install that has current(A) of 0.10 each. Monitor needs 5W 3A power or above .The original Atem mini power supply has 60W 5A written? Is this enough power? Do I need to buy a power supply?
Greetings, Is it possible to buy the laser cut outs and 3d printed stuff for the MAX case?
Unfortunately not. Fixing panels to the MAX case so they are secure is difficult. That's why I switched to the Nanuk 915 case which has screw mounts molded into the case and lid. The MAX case is cheaper, but it's not great and the Nanuk case is so much better and not that much more money.
This is exactly what I've been looking for! Do you build and ship to the US? If not, I'm not too confident with my hands, but I'll have a go at it. What part did you use for the power supply? And how thick are the laser-cut materials?

Absolutely fantastic! One question . Do you have a plate that has the Ethernet port included?
It wasn't needed for this build, but the murex version will have it and internal battery power.

Hi can you help me buy the lazer cut parts please. Also may i ask for adjustment for the monitor as i have the lilliput a7s 4k monitor and can the ethernet be added to the rare panel? Also instead of the IEC input can it be the 12v plug socket in case i use A vlock battery. No problem if you can’t but that would be my personal preference. Maybe a Different model for you 😊
The latest rear panel has a slot for the RJ54 and the 12V socket. If the Lilliput monitor is under 10 inches and has 1/4" mounts in the center top or side it will fit the adjustable brackets.
@whirlybloke Send me the info on how I can get the back plate to buy, minus the power cord cutout on it. I would want 8 of the mount to hold up the top and the bottom panel.

Where would one get the dxf files printed? I went to Shapeways and they don't support that dxf for upload. Please advise and thanks for the video!
The dxf files are for laser cutting not 3d printing.

I have done a customer build with a ATEM Mini Extreme, 2 laptops and 2 monitors in a large case for live streaming at concerts.
@@WhirlyBloke I have an ATEM Mini Pro ISO and Im thinking a 15" Display - can you quote approximate(since I dont have a monitor picked yet) for panel mounts, and 3D printed mounts and what case would accommodate that and or what you could quite just to build that ? I'm in California.
