What's ironic is Krs 1 started a "Stop The Violence" movement back in the 90'. I always point that out when people bring up the whole Black on black crime issue as a rebuttal to the Black Lives Matter movement.

MeToo is pretty young and it only started almost 2 years ago, despite its roots from 2006. I’m surprised BLM is still a thing even after 7 years tho. Most movements don’t last forever though.
When its a worthy cause, the movement last generations look at the feminist movement.
@@yamomma6479 you may be right about them lasting generations, but they don't last centuries. I believe that as the 21st century comes to a close BLM and MeToo will pretty much be in the history books so people of the future would wonder what social heroes were like in the 2010's, 2020's and so on.

This movement is not helping racism, it's making race relations worse. They talk about being effective and getting education: really? If you think you are really educated about what happened with Trayvon Martin, who was attacking George Zimmerman to the point where Zimmerman had to defend himself, you wouldn't call that racism, you'd call it self defense.
