18 to drink in the US does seem like some sort of ploy to stop alcoholism and I appreciate the sentiment its just brain dead you can drive a V12 car at 16 but not be able to drink alcohol til 21, its probably the reason so many early 20s ppl end up getting DUI's cuz they rarely drink/just start to but then have a full blown adult lvl licence at 21 and drive where ever you want, whatever vehicle etc
Legally in a situation like this you don't have to answer any of the cop question and unless they say you can't leave they have no right to grab you even if you yell at them. Also the guy should've told them to get off the property because unless you let them in they need a warrant to be there and the whole situation would've been avoided.
The guy knew he was in the wrong. Some people have guilty conscience and actually like to rectify wrong doings. His cousin was out of order. She should have listened to him instead of putting her input in when none was necessary. She invited the cops to start speaking with her once she started yelling at her cousin.

If you don't respect their authoritah then you'll pay. Shts gotta change. Does nothing beneficial to taxpayers to put someone in jail over drinking at 20 when they have a place to sleep. That being said she was very annoying and difficult. But the cops were being annoying and difficult first so it is what it is.
Nah better that she goes to jail and learns now instead of when she's 40
Yup she wasn't detained yet they were forcibly holding her from going back into her residence for the night.
@@kltil5082 These cops acted purely on emotional thinking (oh no my pride and ego you can't challenge my authority) instead of just doing their basic jobs of following the law.... it doesn't require much thinking, all of that was already done for them and written into LAW. Can only imagine the amount of people throughout US history that have been arrested purely on emotion rather any just reason. Or worse killed.
@@Ronin.97 You cant go around disrespecting police officers, that is the same worldwide, if not worse outside of the USA, it's just how the world works, stop living in your little western bubble, respecting authority is basic human common sense, and if you don't, you're probably the type to disrespect your parents too, that's not to say authority is always right, but we have to respect them, and not do what this kid is doing, it will only land you in heaps of trouble, either in school or with the police, it's the same everywhere
The officers are utter shit. The guy is asking them to just talk about it 'professionally' and the cops keep wanting to embarrass him in-front of the other people. It is obvious that is what they want otherwise they would have no issue talking it in-between. You can say that the others might run away, but the bodycam already recorded their face, so it only damages more than it does good.

@@badcornflakes6374 I just dont understand, like they kept talking about there being "loads of drunk drivers on the road" but they only got in the car and drove off cos they knew they would get in trouble and didnt wanna be there when the police started asking questions, in eu this wouldnt happen cos if the police are pulling up to something noone would care bc drinking is allowed so noone would drive off in the car. so dumb

Yeah I can never be a cop, I'd probably end up in jail if I have to deal with people like her.
Is this normal in America, in Australia I got the police called for a party with mostly 16-18 year olds and alcohol for a noice complaint. The police didn't even bat an eye at the alcohol they just spoke to the parents that owned the house for a bit and left, they honestly were chill AF and looked annoyed they even got called cause we were quiet when they arrived
Well when you have one drunk chick just escalating everything it makes sense.
what do you mean "normal"? its against the law so of course the police will stop it
If you're obviously in the wrong underage drinking just shut up and they will most prob let you go. The cops don't want to do the paper work for this but when she is freaking out for nothing that is a different situation
Yeah same in cops just told us to stop drinking and poured out the alcohol we already had opened up but like we were 17 and some 16 but might be different in the USA cause of their wild drinking age😅

Girl was really annoying but she didn't do anything illegal.
She invited the cops to start speaking with her once she started yelling at her cousin.
they're worried about the 15 teenagers driving drunk, but those 15 teenagers would still be at the party and probably not driving if the cops never crashed the party
