Hello, thank you for the video! Looking at your ink wishlist here's 2 comments: - I recently got a bottle of Diamine Masquerade is dryer than other Diamine inks I tried with shimmer so better have a wet nib for this one! - I also have Diamine Copper and after hearing and seeing it online it was a bit of a deception for me, much darker than I expected, very saturated... I guess this ink needs a dryer nib to "express itself" !
Thanks for letting us participate in your train of thought, that's very interesting! Currently I decide which will be my first capless pen, Pilot VP ls OR Lamy Dialog cc. As I'm all "team german pens" at the moment, it probably will be the Lamy. My favorite is also the matte blue with this gorgeous rose gold trim... (This might sound a little ridiculous, but that would pair up so nicely with my pico ballpoint in blue! Just like a big brother...) The autumn inks in my pens are G.v. Faber-Castell "hazelnut" (that might be the option for "real brown"?), diamine "sherwood green", Lamy crystal "benitoite" and diamine "oxblood". Did you happen to get a look at diamine "tobacco sunburst"? That's also a nice cosy brown with wonderful shading. It gives really interesting colour-variation when written in cursive... I' m on the hunt for a nice coloured permanent ink for use in my edc journal right now. Last week I got in heavy rain and over 10 pages of my bujo where no longer legible. I had to reconstruct all appointments and notes from future- and monthly logs and I'm not sure I got everything re-scheduled correctly... All I ever see is archivars blueblack (boooring!). Maybe I should look closer at the palettes at noodlers, deAtramentis and Rohrer&Klingner? After all: They do spezialise in water resistance... Some ideas for "light lilac": Pilot Iroshizuku "Murasaki-shikibu" / Diamine "Lilac Satin" / Noodler's "Black Swan in Australian Roses"... (Noodler's is pretty saturated, but quite "wet": Maybe that's an option with the drier nib for quick note taking?) PS.: Kleine Eselsbrücke für "Erdbeere" (Hat mir geholfen, mit dem Wort hatte ich auch Probleme😉): Auf dem Feld werden die mit STROH unterlegt, damit sie nicht auf die Erde hängen. "Stroh"="Straw" -> "Erdbeere"="Strawberry"
Regarding permanent inks: have you ever tried irongall inks? I‘ve used the rohrer & Klingner ones and was really pleased by their performance. I also used all the R&K Sketch Inks. They are also 100% waterproof but more prone to staining as the irongall. (The darker the color the heavier is the staining with permanent inks in my experience).
@ I‘ve used only the two from R&K, but they behaved really well. Nowadays they aren‘t nearly as agressive as when they were invented. My TWSBI Eco got a little bit of stain, but not nearly as much as from the dark colors of the Sketch Inks. Maybe you could try a little sample and use it in a cheeper pen to test out. In my experience they also cleanes out better then the dark Sketch inks.
i found your video in suggestions. i am not fountain pen user and i dont have any. at start of video you talk like junky like addicted of fountain pens it felt strange in a good way. maybe i will start to use one of them. you inspired me thank you
"Not allowed to buy more things while the last package still hasn't arrived yet." Ha ha, It's not just me then!
Definetly not ;) this rule has really helped a lot in the last month.

I too have been looking at that new Diamine ink!
Good to know that Masquerade seems to be dryer. I‘m definetly getting the ancient copper in the future. I love it so much in my TWSBI Eco.
I also want to get some of the new Diamine Rosewood ink!

It doesn‘t sound weird at all that you like the look of the two lamys together
Thank you for the recommedation of tobacco sunburst. I never tried it but am curious.

@@Blue_Rosemarie irongall inks make me a little anxious. Are they not quite aggressive, especially on metal pens?

Speaking of Kaweco converters, did you see the Kaweco Sport Piston is getting a plastic variant? I'm tempted to get it...
Yes I did. I also was tempted. I might get it because I only have 2 mini converters for 3 kawecos anyways.
