  • Easiest methods of growing Allamanda from cuttings . Plant care tips & Allamanda plant pruning etc.In my video I have shown how to grow Allamanda from cuttings. Allamanda plant care .How we need to fertilise it once in a while .I fertilise it only 3 to 4 times in a year that too if I remember :).
It has a tendency to grow very fast especially in the rainy season. That's when it needs several prunings.
But it thrives back with very bright colours and and bigger size of flowers .
it barely takes time to produce new leaves .
It has latex in the sap and can be irritating to skin and your fabric of light colours .
Allamanda grows in temperate as well as cold places ..but ofcourse not in places where it snows .
Its origin is from south America yet it has become a a very popular shrub or creeper around the world ,excepting a few countries,as it's an easy to maintain, beautiful and attractive plant and its ability to adapt itself to even harsh hot and humid places .
It's a perennial and never ceases to show its beautiful trumpet shaped flowers in bunches .
It does produce very few fruits after pollination and it is fertilised although it produces hundreds of flowers on the tips of the branches .
possibly the structure of flower or shape of flowers are not convenient for insects to pollinate it .In my garden Humming bird moths come in huge numbers and insert their proboscis just before dusk a d thus pollinate all the flowers but only 2 or 3 fruits are formed .
the seeds are encased in this flat bulge of fruit in a stack .The outer cover of fruit is spiny which harden and become very sharp when they are dry and ready for harvesting.
The seeds are slightly difficult to germinate as they are very light in weight a d flaky a d need extreme care to allow germination process.
However it's very easy to propagate with cuttings .
we can use both types of cuttings like mildly hardened off branches or green branches .
the cuttings are to be soaked in water with a depth of 1.5 inch maximum and left for 15 days or even longer for new roots to develop from the ends with white spots on the ends and root hairs .white spots again grow into roots .
once ready with roots we can transplant them in a soil mix of good compost and sand .
within 1to 1.5 months it can grow new leaves a d grow taller at a quick pace .
The blooms come on the tips as the petals look shiny and glossy in bud stage .when they open up they really look large a d leathery .
There is no scent in the flowers but its not a big disappointment as its attractive flowers fill up the hearts .
They come in many colours like yellow, cherry ,white ,red and biscuit or peach .
So do top the soil with a good multi layer of compost and diluted manure .
Epsam salts give a boost of flowers and bright colours.
Do add this to enhance the eye catchy look in your garden nooks. Remember nature is always right .
    Happy gardening.

Can the cuttings be placed into liquid fertilizer? How long must one wait in order to transplant the cuttings into the garden?

    • @my_garden.secrets
      @my_garden.secrets  2 года назад

I have never tried leaving them in liquid fert .It should work with a dip in it and planting in soil then cover with a plastic for a few days. Make holes in the cover later on and remove it after few weeks until new leaf growth is visible .Easy one is water propagation.

Allamanda cutting taiyar karne ke liye, pencil jitni motai ke Shakha Kat Lete Hain, jinki lambai lagbhag 6 , ya 7 Ho, cutting se Sabhi pattiyan Hata Li Jaati Hain, pratyek cutting ko fungicide Lagane ke pakshat,, Garden soil aur sand ke , barabar mixture mein 2 inch gahrai Tak daba Diya jata hai, 4 inch cutting Mitti se upar rahani chahie , is pot Mein Pani Dal Diya jata hai, Iske bad pot ko Chhaya mein rakh Diya jata hai, Kuchh Dinon ke bad inmein, Patia nikal Aati Hai, is Prakar cutting se plant taiyar ho sakte hain, 💞💞💞💞
