So beautiful. So tragic the story of why these Holy Places have been forgotten. My heart aches for all Armenians.

I have no words with which to thank you for this video. I saw it more than five years ago and fell in love with Armenia. Then my mother became deathly ill. I took care of her, but before the end I wanted to have a week in all these temples of Armenia and pray. I went through almost all the monasteries and churches in the video. My mother died; but I never forgot the strength of faith and Christianity in such seemingly distant brothers. You will always have a brother in Spain.

The Spanish and Armenians are much closer than is taught my friend. My condolences to your loss

I visited two years ago most presented monasteries and many, many more. It was amazing and spiritual experience walking 4 weeks through Armenian mountains. I hope to be there again next year.

Actually watching this video was quite painful for me.. It brought tears to my eyes when I saw all these beautiful churches and cross-stones burried deep in the forests of God-know-where.....

You get a sense not unlike that when you watch Lord Of The Rings.... An age gone by. Can they recapture it again? For our sakes they have to.

We truly need to increase tourism to this wonderful place. Christians need to see what their forebears were capable of doing. Combining beautiful, well made architecture for God's glory, with Goodness, plus worldview with Truth at the centre whilst preserving the beautiful creation all around this place. An enemy hath swept it away, but it still remains. The hearts that willed these things into being still beat with faith. Rebuilding is possible. And strengthening what remains.

Wow...ես այսօր միամիտ հայտնաբերեցի ձեր ալիքը.... աստված իմ...եթե հայ ես, եթե արյանղ մեջ զգում ես...անհնար է անգամ մի արդյունք ել չգա... If you're Armenian, feel it in your blood...impossible to hold tears back... And while the rest are busy picking a new color for their iSheepPhone....or some new wheels for their materialistic showmanship...how many do care to do something??

smilycat3a - Under communist rule they could not do much aboutthe churches - no religion under that system. They had earthquakeafter declaring independence which destroyed nearly 1/3 of the country as well as churches, then came war with Azerbaijan (stillgoing on). They have just begun to breath and live a little. I amsure that they will renovate these old monasteries too.

Thank you for your answer. I understand what has happened now. Restoring
those ancient churches will bring tourists and money. I think those
churches are older than our orthodox churches in Greece. When were they
built? They seem to be thousands of kilometers away from inhabited
      areas. They are really amazing!!
