The Lawrence Welk Show is the true Tops. It's a show of true Class, a real Classic!!!

Another thing that I love 💕 about the Lawrence Welk Show is the fact you can understand every word that is being singed. Also, the fact that the music 🎵🎶 that is being played, can go as far back as ragtime music. The music I love is not the rock 'n roll of the days I grew up in; they are the one my mother grew up with, between 1934-1973. Mom died in 2019, but she, like me, taught me the truth about the true music world.

I think that the Lawrence Welk Show is the true answer to the Art of Music, because it performed complete & total class. I just wish PBS stations would still show it today, esp. UNC Public Television.

I was named after a song back in 1956, sung by Debbie Reynolds, known as "TAMMY", and because it was my parents love song, it became my name in 1967. The Lawrence Welk Show was my favorite show, and ever since 1973, when University Mall was built in Chapel Hill, N.C., it's. been my favorite st

Thanks so much…..I agree that the mix of voices sounded the best of all from late 60s to mid to late 70s. Especially enjoy songs chosen. Ofcouse, even though Cissy was fired for some reason, she and Bobby were incredibly talented and graceful and in my opinion were most enjoyable of the three partners.

Another great one! It seems the sows from the late 60s to the early 70s were better in a different sort of way. The music sounded different and the singers were fabulous. Of course, no performers ever came up to the popularity of the Lennon Sisters but I thought they were great until Lawrence began adding too many singers in the mid 70s. Consummate artists like Joe Livoti, Charlotte Harris and Bob Lido we’re relegated to the background. Loved Lynn Anderson here and Sandi and Salli! Norma was beautiful as the hostess!

Richard Luloff I did have that one but that’s one of the ones where the audio was really poor. I feel so bad for not having a lot of these eps that haven’t been on PBS in so many years as I know there’s a demand to see these shows again.

Richard Luloff the B&W shows were live so there were more unscripted moments although the colour years had some good moments such as hippie welk in 1969 (I watched that once on PBS but didn’t get a chance to record ) .

    Thx for posting!!
Great memories watching the L.W. show every Saturday night with my family. Us kids wouldn't dare change the channel.
Now that I'm older I really appreciate the variety of music L.W. had on his show along with the dancing. And loved watching Lynn Anderson sing all types of songs.
L.W. had some wonderful talented people on his show over the years .
    Thanks again!

Tyler Williamson you’re most welcome amd unfortunately I don’t have the older eps from the 90s. I had some from 1999 when I had quite a few from the 99/2000 cycle of shows but had to get rid of them as the video and audio quality were quite poor . Thanks for the kind words and I will he posting more vids over the next few weeks 🙂
