lived in chatswood for 4 years, its a great place, lots of things can be purchase from there, no need to drive to burwood. also atarmon has lots of japanese restaurants and even comic rental shops.... i really like chatswood. now i am looking to move back from hk to syd. but due to work, i am more likely to move to somewhere close to city, may be darling point.
Nice video man. I was laughing out loud every minute...lol Don't worry too much about the price of housing because in Australia you can borrow at least 80% from the bank if your income allows. Sometimes even 97% but after 80%, you will have to pay mortgage insurance. The other main cost you have to factor in is stamp duty to the NSW Government. For a property of AUD 1M, stamp duty is around AUD 40k. The properties that you like in Chatswood is no different than the other houses/units/apartments in the lower North Shore. You can consider living in other suburbs. For a different vibe, check out the properties beside the Paramatta river in Rhodes (Ikea is there). Feels like Shatin lol. There is a bridge that you can walk across from Rhodes to Wentworth point. I think you will love Pyrmont (highly recommended). Kirribilli, Milsons Point, McMahons Point..etc are the most prestigious suburbs in the North Shore.

Chatswood has zero 茶餐廳 that's even average... very shameful... maybe you can look at 1 station away @ Artarmon, the rental cost is much lower than Chatswood

我同你差唔多都係來左 Sydney 個多月, 全程住在 Chatswood, 又行過好多其他地區, 暫時都覺得 Chatswood 係生活機能各方面最平衡既 Suburb, 多華人得來又唔會好似某D 華人區咁只有中餐廳, 我朋友話係 Sydney 太古城~
你呢個形容非常準確，真係好似太古城咁方便又多元化，其實呢個社區真係幾舒服，旺得黎又唔會好似香港咁迫又多唔同國家嘢食，仲買到好多有用嘢（例如KF94口罩同火酒手巾）不過唔知住Chatswood 係咪好貴呢？🤔

現在的雪梨新移民好幸福，乜都方便，而雪梨好香港化氣氛好似，根本上糸慢版香港
