At any rate Asajj's now wielding a yellow lightsaber, so she may be back to bounty hunting.
The Night Sisters used a zombie army in the Clone Wars.
They definitely have the ability to bring one of their own back from the dead.
I think she’s probably either been resurrected or she faked her death like she did in Legends

No she’s will die, batch batch S3 takes place 1 year before dark disciple takes place
When I heard Ventress voice I screamed and again and again then I started to cry! I don't care if it's a flashback or not, I have so much wished to see Ventress again!!!!
It's not a flashback. She would still be alive at this point in the story. It might even line up with Dark Disciple.

Even after the end of Batch, I still get hyped after seeing Ventress.
I was surprised and kind blown when I hear her voice in the trailer. I can’t wait to see Asajj Ventress again! That trailer was phenomenal and I can’t wait for the S3 finale of the Bad Batch! Also, I’m a little nervous as well. This season finale would be tough to watch. I’m excited! 🙌🏼✨

I'm REALLY hoping the retcon her death and make it so she survived the lightning attack via (insert night sister magic). She's one of my all time favorite Star Wars characters and I'd be down for any retcon that allowed her to be alive still.

Dark Disciple takes place in 19BBY. But since Order 66 already happened, Tipoca city was destroyed, and the CIS + Dooku being long long gone, they have to retcon Dark Disciple or change the story quite a bit. Except if they make this a clone of Ventress. Which would meh but I´d take it

Could this be the recently deceased Asajj Ventress? Death and resurrection are common deceptions played out by both night sister and Jedi alike. For now, we shall consider Asajj Vetress alive until we know otherwise. And we shall prepare accordingly.
I remember saying a couple years ago that I wanted Vos to be in the JFO sequel so he could talk to Merrin and Cal about Ventress. This assumes Ventress was dead ofc.
But now all four characters are alive by the time of 9 BBY potentially.
I could see them doing a flashback to set up Vos and her relationship since it was never shown in the tv shows or anything. I'm not sure if they'll bring her back entirely tho.

I am excited for the Final Season of The Bad Batch. 💀🤍 And it seems we are getting another retcon, this time with Ventress. Ian McDiarmid is great as Palpatine. I also hope we will get more in this animation style in the future. 🙌

I don’t even watch the Bad Batch. I stopped after S1. But I watched this trailer out of boredom and as a huge clone wars fan, my eyes nearly leapt out of their sockets. Finally!! Ventress!!

Based on the ending of clone wars and rebels, I can say these animated shows always have the best and most emotional endings and just thinking about it and seeing all these characters on the screen again (some probably for thr last time) gets me emotional. Plus, I've wanted to see ventress again for years. She just disappeared in clone wars and even though the books explain it, I've always wanted to see her again bc i rooted on her character development since thr very beginning and it felt like there was little pay off in cw. So excited!

I know they claim to not be “retconning” Dark Disciple, but I’m very confused as to how the hell Ventress is still around without retconning that book (unless I’m just stupid and completely missed something …. which is viable 😂) Don’t get me wrong, I love the character, but they got some explaining to do.

This is set in 19BBY Dark Disciple is 20BBy.
Dark Disciples is about them trying to kill Count Dooku. Count Dooku is LONG gone by the time the Bad Batch takes place.
20 BBY is 20 Years before the Battle of Yavin. 19 BBY ist 19 Years before. We count backwards in this time, so it is 22,21,20,19... 1 BBY and than 1 ABY, 2,3,4...

20 BBY is a year before 19 BBY. This season will probably actually be around 18 BBY, so 2 years after she died in the book.
BBY stands for Before the Battle of Yavin. So the years before the battle at Yavin count down to 0 for the year the battle happened and then count up ABY (After the Battle of Yavin) for the years after the battle.
