Adding calcium UPDATE, shrimp tank thriving!

Guys i tried growing moss myself. I got it working in my small hospital tank but melted in the big one. The water is the same since when i do wanter changes i fill the small with the water from the big one.

How much calcium should be in a tank for shrimp. I tested my water and it only 160Ppm do I need to add

I'm not sure as I don't have a calcium test kit for freshwater. I just add it when ever I see the particles are thin/absorbed.

I don’t use ro water. I add a pinch of egg shells. Typically once a month sometimes more often if I see the shells dissolve quicker.
