Extra Zeus tips: Dont make Gilgamesh on the same turn you plan to make Zeus, because Gilgamesh locks you into DDD If you have 2 level 4 bodies, go into Caesar, Tell, Machinex, and then Zeus. Will get you a 4 material Zeus even after using Tell's effect
Yo Gustavo, wassup :D That's a fair way to go into Zeus too, but its match up dependent. You can actually go into Zeus with Gilga, since Gilga's D/D lock is only live, if his scaling effect resolves. So you can simply choose to not resolve his effect. And it's better to not resolve the scale effect too, since you clear both boards either way, if Zeus resolves. Then you can just overlay into Machinex, crash, and boom overlay into Zeus. A 4-mat Zeus is very good in certain matchups, but it's super resource heavy for us, since we will loose the conventional ways to OTK with Tell lines, or all the conventional lines to go into Big Caesar. Especially since Ty-Phon is out now. So if you see that the match is gonna be grindy and you have a follow up turn, a 2-mat Zeus with Gilga could be a better call.
Something about D/D/D that I love is that there is actual balance to the deck. There are costs, locks, and crucial hard "once per turns" that mean you have to be prudent about your plays. Edit: food for thought, I run LaPlace because he inflicts piercing damage.
Hey Joel! :D I 100% agree. I think it‘s such a pity that other archetypes don‘t lock as much. Because that‘s when these decks become generic boss spam and the deck identity gets lost completely :/ The thing that never gets boring with D/D/Ds are all these crucial OTPs and the high skill ceiling, really miss it from other decks If you like Laplace you will like my deckbuilding theory coming up soon lmao he is so goated
Another excellent video! I’m really surprised by the way you play the combos with the different hands you get, one thing is true, we D/D/D players should be allowed to run 20 cards in the extra deck. Not having High Alexander, Caesar Ragnarok and Kali Yuga really breaks my heart since they’re so good and sometimes needed. I know one could replace D'Arc, Baronne and Zeus but it’s hard to play without them… either way, great content, keep up with the good work! 👑
Thanks Walther! :D glad you‘ve enjoyed this video and 20 cards is straight up facts. Would increase our chances for having an out to anything by A LOT. Sometimes I found myself in the situation were piercing damage would come in handy too with beowulf (crooked cook is so cringe)
@@DifferentDimensionDreamer Absolutely! Sometimes I get stuck with Vice Typhoon when I've already summoned High Genghis, would be nice to have another name to summon and the piercing damage would be lit. By the way, have you seen the new Aerial Eater? It's level 6 so it can be material for High Caesar, however it can only be summoned with Contract with the Swamp King since both Slimes can only bring out D/D/D. It also gives you the opportunity to follow with Slime and then Small Genghis but since it's so limited I don't see any further play. 😔
@@walthermeza7197hey walther! sorry for the super late replay, my week has been really stressful. I see the vision with aerial eater! Yo Alan! Good Point but in the case of Typhon, I‘m always worried that he gets sent to the GY on the opponents turn, making me loose the access to the fuse from the GY. With Thomas, it‘s kinda risky since he is our only recursion piece if they manage to beat over him

Hey Mitchell! Glad to hear that :) Tenpai is a funny matchup imo. The fact that it can play so much non-engine creates a dynamic where either they have an out or they don‘t. So if you loose to it even though you had a full board, don‘t be mad about it, because the match has been decided a long time ago. That said, the archnemesis of tenpai is big caesar. Not only that but if caesars negation goes through, chundra gets popped and they loose access to their only tuner to syncho climb. Since the atk boost can only work if the card that got negated is destroyed as well. So the only D/D cards which meet this condition are swirl, lamia and gryphon and all of them must be in hand. And you usually need gryphon to gain access to big caesar, so this special summon could not be negated. This only leaves us with lamia and swirl and I did not have either in hand and since his end dragon had 5000 atk, I would have needed to negate both, lamia and swirl. This set up would take at least 2 turns, if I don't hard draw them. And since 2 turns is enough so that I can set up my damage boost with gryphon as scale, I went with that instead. Especially since big caesar would not be of great help, when end dragon is on the field already and considering cyber dragon players are notorious for contact fusing the board away.
