Mount Jiri is in the southwest part of South Korea. It is famous for tea and mountain vegetables, which are fresh and delicious. I've been to the area and people were creating health formulations from plants from the mountain in little packets long ago. No surprise to me it's in the forefront of skincare. Vats of perculating herbs.
Hey Shelly! I've recently begun using Benton's Deep Green Tea Lotion as my last moisturizing step before SPF, and after just a couple of weeks, I love it! It's my first foray into K-beauty skincare, and I will continue to add other items from the line as I usr up my Vitamin C serum, Peptide booster serum and neck serum. I've also returned to using the Physician's Formula Essence of Healthy toner spray with the much-praised galactomyces ferment filtrate as the first ingredient, and I know that's also a big part of fresher looking skin. At 64, I'll take whatever I can get! Love your videos!

Hi Shelly, great skincare routine using all Korean products. I too have very dry dehydrated skin and took a 4 day break from Tret, Hydroquinone and Vit. C. I hydrated, hydrated, hydrated well, exfoliated. I love love all Korean skincare. It’s amazingly so good for our skin. Especially their SPF! Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule and sharing with us. And explaining all about fermented skincare. I love Benton fermented eye cream. Getting ready to place a fairly big order on YesStyle.
I adore K beauty! I always have some ferment in my a.m. and my p.m. routines. My skin noticeably loves it. My morning routine is definitely longer than my evening routine. Lots of protective layers. My evening routine is basically all about my Agency/Curology Tretinoin routine - which is super simple yet also, all about winding down for the evening.
Your skin looked very plump and refreshed!

Is it unscented? I'm asking because I have particularly sensitive skin.
@@cindyms.1237 it has a scent but it's almost like a fermented ingredient.
I'm pretty sure the scent is coming from the extracts like Liisa said (rather than added synthetic fragrance), though extracts can be sensitizing too.

Excellent video. I'm in a quandry. I want to try the new Prequel Vitamin C. And want to try their hand wrap which is supposed to be so good, AND I'd get Free shipping. Problem is, Everything I use has niacinmiide. The Softening serum and Vitamin serum from Nimbuzin and the Mucin Serum from Vegreen!...and the Prequel C also has niacinimide. Do you think too much niacinimide can hurt my skin?
I just ordered the Prequel Vitamin C to try! There is definitely a thing as too much niacinamide (I'd say that's probably true of most actives). It may be hard to tell depending if companies say how much niacinamide is in each product but I'd probably not go above a total of 5% with all products combined. If you can't tell how much is in them, I'd alternate. I'm guessing that irritation would be the main side effect of using too much.
@@goow Thanks very much...I ended up getting the Geek & Gorgeous vit c and the Prequel Hand Wrap Paying for shipping is my pet peeve but I also ordered the IPad serum from Geek and Gorgeous so I got free shipping, so far I like both products very much.

Regarding Amazon: No idea if this is true or not, but I was told by a friend, who "has a friend who worked for Amazon", that when they pack products, they don't make a distinction between an authorized seller and a re-seller. That all the items are in the same place and there's nothing that differentiates them. So what happens is, the packer just reaches for the items, packs and ships. You may get an authentic version, or you may not.
Again, no idea how true this is, or if it's just a disgruntled former employee, but I no longer buy anything that goes on my body from Amazon.
I’ve heard that too. I get my K beauty from YesStyle or Stylevana. I’d rather wait and know it’s the real deal.
I have a friend that sells his brand on Amazon (reselling products he sources himself) and I'm not sure how it works but there are some rules in place that make sure you get an item from a particular seller. I asked him how he knows that a product purchased from him then returned was actually his item when there are other sellers that sell the same third-party-made item. He ships his inventory to Amazon for fulfillment and then returns go straight back to him. He always receives his specific items when something is returned. So, somehow, at least for some products, they are tied to the source. The way I decide personally is - if a brand has a known presence there that I can confirm (for example, BK Beauty recently started selling their brushes on Amazon, and anyone can confirm that through their social media or customer service), then I'll go ahead and buy through Amazon. If I can't confirm that the brand has an Amazon presence and it's just coming from any third party reseller, I don't.
