As one your correspondents has stated, so many locos,most very dirty as was the way with network South East.I used to take my children down most Sunday mornings so my wife could get the roast ready. They now have a pathological hate of trains. Thanks for the share. Loved the clag
Never seen a train being banked like that at Exeter before, once I arrived from Bristol on a 47/8 just to witness my intended move, the 0945 wtloo, leave as we stopped with 47706 on, only for it to slowly coast back down the hill with a now so let 706 failed on the back, only time I ever missed and made a connection at the same time
You'd get 2 57s Sunday - Friday on the Night Riviera Sleeper. First around midnight heading towards London and then heading to Penzance stopping for an hour between 3am and 4am.
