@HonorIndia
Im waiting for an honor magic v3 Vs Xiaomi mix Fold 4
Hey would you consider doing a comparison between Origin OS, Hyper OS and Magic OS covering pros and cons of each skin?
interesting alternative, but it's the cheapest between Flip 6 and RAZR 50 U, this honor is because the lack of water protection and reliability of the hinge
Not using it as your daily driver because you don't like flip phones feels like a copout to me personally, its about pushing past that hump so to speak.
Anyway i do really love the content, you're the first tech creator that ive enjoyed watching in a long time, and youre bringing the fun back into phones by showcasing these Asians companies, and!!! Fingers crossed ill be purchasing the vivo x fold from you in a couple of months! Continue the great work!!
10:37 The Oppo Find N3 Flip has three cameras (50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, 32MP 2x telephoto) and the Huawei Pocket 2 has four cameras (50MP main, 12MP ultrawide, 8MP 3x telephoto, 2MP spectral).
15:47 The screen on the Find N3 Flip is 3.26 inches.
The camera on my Oneplus Open continues to impress me. I would call the output Flagship quality.
for sure
It's quite good, providing there's enough light. Not a fan of its low light shots - how you found that? Any tips?
The Oppo n3 flip you mentioned several times in your review has 3 cameras .how about a test as several new flip phones have launched as to which has the best cameras. Also why compare a flip phone with a candy bar phone to mark it’d down because it doesn’t have as big a battery for example. But with that same logic shouldn’t you mark down a candy bar phone because it’s only got one screen and if you fold it it breaks ? Both phones are different categories I understand your thinking when the was only one flip phone but now there are enough of them to be compared within their own categories. Car testers don’t compare a motorbike with a car and mark it down for having only two wheels !!
On the fold phones, barring Samsung, which are your top 3 software skins?
How does it measure up to the Xiaomi Mix Flip? Will there be a global variant?
you said to pose our questions in the comments section:
we would appreciate it when you review the honor V3 to check on one issue:
it is said you can split the main screen and use each screen as a phone on its own taking into account the V3 can take 2 sims.
once you do that, can you check if whatsapp can be used simultaneously on the split screen (2 versions of the app using 2 sims) and if you can receive WhatsApp messages simultaneously on each screen using different sims?
thanks and appreciate your reviews.
i will test
Honor is amazing...
Totally and next year honor 7 with 6000 mah
It looks like they put the flash on the other side of the phone? I'm not sure why they would even have a flash/torch anyway.
Still it looks cool, a bit motorola but cool. Still I don't see much point in a flip. I much prefer foldables.
The Oppo N3 flip managed to get 3 decent lenses and a 4800mah battery ..wanted the global version but so expensive
Samsung flip look way better than this. Honor beat Samsung in fold series
6:00 definitely don't test the drop resistance, I dropped my V2 for the first time about 3 feet off the ground and the outer screen is toast 🤦🏼♂
You should have tested the speakers mate.
This is normally a weak point for flip phones.
But then again, audio performance is overlooked by most of the other tech reviewers too. - so its not just you.
Actually its a pretty cool phone.
I wish flip phones had an sd card slot too, but i do like the style of the phone you reviewed slightly more than the others out there.
A review with actual scores in categories that one would care about- well done sir!
Which of the Chinese brands are available in the U.K and E.U markets?
all of them but only certain models
Top video again mate just waiting for the honor magic v3 and Xiaomi mix fold 4 then i will be buying one of them or the Vivo xfold 3 Pro global ❤
You are the only channel i trust regarding foldables. Keep up the great videos. I appreciate how honest and authentic you are. It is greatly appreciated.
Well said.. true and correct ✌
Id rather you made a passionate review as usual and not a rushed one to please a certain proportion of you're audience just to squeeze a review in bro. I wanted a good review on this phone. Im not trolling just positive feedback. Still love you're content. You can do this!!
talking rubbish!
not sure i agree as this was a typical review after using the phone for 2 weeks.
@@AverageDadOfficial looking forward to the mix fold 4 review 😎😎
I am starting to feel you're pushing too much for Chinese companies. While thinness and large batteries are attractive features, they shouldn't be the sole focus when evaluating a phone. Durability and repairability are equally important. In that regard, the Flip 6 seems like a significant upgrade from the Flip 5. However, a complete comparison should consider factors beyond just hardware specifications. Durability and repairability are crucial aspects that haven't been discussed yet. Are these Chinese phones lasting? Where will I get a repair phone and spare parts of these devices? A well-rounded phone excels in both hardware and software features.
I agree, the reality is though that the reviews here are for phones that are not and, likely will not be globally available. That means as a buyer, you're taking a risk, when it comes to repairs.
I'd add that there's little to nothing between the durability of Chinese devices and devices available to is in the West. As a long time Huawei user, I've been continually impressed by their build and continued innovation when it comes to quality whether that be, glass, hinge design, thiness, etc. The reality is these companies Xiaomi, Opoo, Honor, Huawei are backed by hundreds of millions of R&D and have been developing this technology for many years.
The Chinese are innovating in phone design, technology and ecosystem and, it certainly needs highlighting and celebrating. It is not for the 99% of Westerns but, for the 1% who do import, they are taking a calculated risk that gives them a mostly better, more affordable device to what is generally available in any UK, US, EU store.
@harryhodgson9208 why do people keep referring to Samsung as a western country? Samsung is Korean and very much east Asian
You do realize the Chinese phones are not meant for the West right? That like a person in China complaining about Google phones.
@@joshuabergeman354 I have consistently seen in his videos just pushing Chinese products. I feel it is too much. Korea is Asian but I am specifically talking about Chinese products.
@@joshuabergeman354Samsung is geared towards the Western users, they have exclusive Google software features.
Sick of people keep saying you have to include software when evaluating a phone against other phones. Software is thin air. For me, when comparing phones it should be based on the physical item.....hardware.....and unfortunately for Samsung fans Chinese companies are WAY ahead in terms of what they actually build. Evolution of Vivo, Oneplus, Xiaomi, Honor, Nubia, Huawei, Oppo ect phones has been amazing to witness and i find it a shame for the consumer that Samsung has not been making REAL attempts to keep up with these brands or even be a market leader. They have become lazy as a company sadly and rely on long-term Samsung customers who are are unlikely to ever change their brand of choice and are mainly unaware of the specifications of Chinese phones. ❤❤
Software can absolutely hamstring a product and you're just forming your own bias if you decide to wholesale ignore that. Having played with all the foldables of 2024 it's still this paradox of great hardware from Chinese manufacturers being tarnished by lackluster or outright broken software. Part of the reason Samsung still sells Fold's despite iterative designs is because of its cohesive software and only OnePlus comes close. Maybe you're just going to use it as a basic phone and don't need streamlined multitasking (but I dunno that's a big draw of the large folders) but if you're spending four digits on a phone you shouldn't have to deal with Chinese language still dotting the UI when you change it over. It becomes clear that these are *hardware* companies and they don't invest as much in software as Samsung.
Even this Honor device in the review, it has the same cover screen as the RAZR+ but Motorola's software to use that screen to the fullest is light years ahead and makes it a much better experience.
Unless it’s globally available, Samsung still wins the game of foldables.
You can't review a phone without proper testing. Are western apps working? How can that affects battery life? Etc ... Bad review
I like your honest reviews
It sad that samsung stop innovating.
When you review phones like vivo, oppo, honor you always involved and rant on Samsung😂😂😂.
No innovation from Z 5fold to 6fold ! .. that's an example for you!
Samsung is lucky they have exclusive software features from Google. As far as hardware there playing catch-up to the Chinese brands.
Keep reviewing interesting Chinese products. Wish I could import some of the good stuff. My country is fked up with its importing regulation, only pro for big businesses and against individuals importers.
I'm seeing ppl here calling @average dad biased towards Chinese phones. I think it's a bit unfair because in previous videos in the last few months, he has carried the Samsung s24 ultra the best phone in the world. He also called the galaxy watch 6 "fantastic". He even said Samsung software is the best in the world. He calls it how it is. Salute to him 🫡
Thank you for actually listening to what i say! appreciate you
It's such a funny statement when you realise most of the phones with this tech are produced in China. What's the alternative, 1 in South Korea, 1 in US, 1 in Japan? lol.
He’s not biased he just knows Chinese phones offer more
@@elmhurstenglish5938so mrwhosethe boss and mkhbd are bias towards apple and Samsung. They never review Chinese phones.
