All the models (European, GFS, Canadian, and ICON) have been picking up on increased activity, especially this upcoming disturbance expected to come into the Caribbean in a few days. The European has been picking up on it for the past 36 hours. It has been trending the 'storm' further west with each update. Of course, the models could go back and forth with track placement, but it seems things are about to ramp up.

Here at Carolina Beach. We received nowhere what was forecasted. That is just what you deal with forecasting. I expected the worst but accepted the the what I received.

I want to say that’s a great definition of a supposed fish storm it still impacts someone.
    Thanks for the update.

We had impacts here in South Florida from Debby. I honestly was surprised that we were getting tropical storm force wind gusts here in Miami-Dade County. The rain very heavy at times as well. Debby for sure was an interesting storm.

I get it that most people live to the west in the basin, but let's be real so we're all aware that storms forming out in the central or even the eastern MDR and only IF they recurve in the Atlantic can still threaten land as any landmass is found out on the eastern side of the basin as well. Some examples are especially like Europe, the Azores, and in some cases Cape Verde if they can immediately develop upon exiting Africa along with others. That being said, not all storms and hurricanes forming near Africa and recurving into the Atlantic are so-called "fish storms" because of this reason, and for tropical cyclones to be considered as real fish storms should be defined in general as such type of storms that never bring any impacts to any sort of landmass whether islands or major landmasses at all.

The pattern looks to take the first two OTS. Beyond that, we'll see. The subtropical ridge does look to reposition and reconstitute itself toward the end of the month.

Seems Debby may give us a hint as to whats to come! The ridge out in the atlantic is key as to what happens. Im very concerned that the east coast is in for a nasty time of it this year! Could this be the year new england breaks the hurricane drought? Time will tell.

The models show a concerning picture for the NE, Carribean. Do you have plans to head to Puerto Rico for coverage?
