Here's an idea... turn off memberships and make everyone use Patreon. They take less money and you can still do specific content for them. Oh, they're already Patreon members. So it's not triple dipping, it's quadruple dipping with Patreon and 3x RUclips channels.
Quadruple dipping with tips, super chats, thanks, Ad revenue and Patreon personal style reacts (these are charged separately) thrown in for good measure.
Don't forget to add in donated games, consoles and mini P.C.

His solution to the "fake memberships" is to up the price but this don't make sense cuz if those gifted Argentinian bombs didn't happen he wasn't gonna make that money anyway, no way oic was gonna gift nearly a 1000 memberships on multiple channels but he's giving the illusion that he was gonna get those memberships legitimately if he wasn't trolled.......you can't lose thousands if you weren't getting that in the first place

The big flaw in Phil's dented logic is that he describes it as a customer declaring what they will pay. That's not what happened. RUclips set the price and that is what was paid. If they went around the waters to get a lower price, that's out of RUclips's control.

In DSP's restaurant analogy, what really would happen is he owns a restaurant that gets roughly 20 paying customers that always pay for his food even if its rotten and stored next to raw chicken. Then a few thousand angry customers who hate his food and stand outside protesting to let people know the building should be condemned for how bad its run. And the health inspectors write reports about how bad the state of the place is but the city of the town is paid behind the scenes to allow the place to remain dangerous, so even though everyone in the entire town knows its the worst restaurant to go to, it stays open and the 20 customers he has always buys his food.
And the cheaper memberships is when people find a way to get cheap soda out of the machine in the store without having to pay for a full meal, without breaking the bank or risking getting food poisoning.
He just killed his OIC member bombs.
Also, it’s a hustle. It’s not a discount. And I believe people don’t tip him regularly because they KNOW he gambles and the memberships and super chats are the checks and balances to gifted a gambling addict.

The problem with DSP is a classic business problem. He’s catering to old customers and ignoring newer ones. He doesn’t want to do anything new because he’s scared that his regular customers will be upset.😂
This whole situation, just points out the design flaw of dsp reacks. If the channel was successful and had amount of "legitimate " members, he wouldn't be able to reack to all of the members submissions. So in order to operate and the members get what they pay for it has to remain small...

The sandwich shop analogy doesn’t work on any level. The problem is that what Phil offers in return for a membership has no intrinsic value. It costs him nothing. Therefore he’s not technically losing money. A restaurant spends a lot of money on raw materials and employee wages and their profit margin is relatively small.

What really gets me about this saga is after the vest streak ended, Phil would usually hype up tipping as the main source of his income, and definitely his preferred one. He usually had a dismissive attitude towards memberships since those tended to be monthly payouts that he didn’t get immediately. Now that people are exploiting regional pricing to make troll member bombs though, suddenly memberships are a major and critical source of income for him and this is a huge problem.
